HUGE thanks to Best Buy for sponsoring this video #ad and making it possible to continue to post content about the great laptops coming out in 2024. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is looking better than ever. Thinner, lighter, and even noticeably quieter. One area that did not see a massive leap was the performance. This is quite common amongst many laptops in 2024. So far there is a heavy emphasis on efficiency, which seems to be keeping PC OEMs from providing more performance.

Great video and attention to detail! I did see some videos comparing fan noise using silent profile with the 2024 G16. The on the fan on the G16 would be noisy on silent profile and turn on at odd times when the system was not working hard. Did you experience any of this when testing with the silent profile?

Hey Ben. Here's a few things that i think might help the video quality improve (from a person who knows nothing about videography). Color grading should definitely be top priority, since some of the shots look a little washed out and unsaturated. The other is using a gimbal stabilized camera for the b-roll shots of the product.

It's meant for use as a premium mid-range creative/gaming device that's why you won't see 64gb RAM in this. If it had capability for that much RAM, they wouldn't pair it with only a 4070

non upgradable RAM is actually a deal breaker for me. I waited for this, and just bought the ryzen 9/4060 2023 model for 1000USD from best buy. upgraded to 2tb 990pro, and 32gb memory AND still spent LESS than the 4060 2024 model. slim is fine and all, but if I would never sacrifice cooling capabilities just for it to be thinner.

Man, the only 14" 64GB laptop out there is Lenovo Yoga 9i and it's battery life is 1.5 hours. The older 2023 G14 is barely in stock and I hear there are Quality Control problems all over the place. That even a lower Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with a 4060 has better performance. The 4080s are way to powerful to put into such a small form factor like if you dumb enough to get that in one of these it's just going to overheat an it will never be able to even access to wattage to get the most out of those are. Like a 4080 an def a 4090 in this would easily get beat out by a 4060 or 4070. Like why do people like you do this? It's clear you have no idea what you are talking about but you want to tell out false information? What do you gain from this? Let's say you still kept a 4090 in this because it's so small it's only gonna pull out enough power for barely a 4070 an you don't even get the full use of a 4090 hence the second reason they stopped selling it because people noticed that an stopped buying it . If you generally don't have a clue about something it's beat just not to talk about it
