Overall, I would definitely look into the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) laptop because it seems to hit the boxes on so many levels, however, the whirling noise of the 3rd fan concerns me a bit and if you're at all sensitive to fan noise, I would say try it out first whether it's seeing it in store or ordering it and then returning it if it becomes irritating. The fact that the RAM is soldered in is not unusual for these smaller laptops but it's always a positive to be able to upgrade it yourself. The quality of the built-in speakers is SUPERB and in line with the MacBook Pro's. The exclusion of WiFi 7 is another negative but at least the WiFi card can be swapped out and upgraded. It's got decent battery life, nice port selection, stunning 1080p webcam and clear internal mics. Lastly, the OLED screen is gorgeous as well as the metal build! It retails at $1600 which I don't think is worth it. $1300 is probably the most I would spend. You can get a laptop with the same specs (while also having upgradable RAM and better RMA support than what Asus provides) for about $1000, but nothing from other vendors like Lenovo have the same build quality.
hey, is there any 100% laptop final review? im thinking to buy one at max 1,000$ min 600$ but there are too many rehashed. what im looking for is for a laptop with +10h of battery, worth to work and a nice screen for view content, nothing special.
Is it the best 14 inch laptop? No. But it's decent, as long as you get a model with 32 GB of RAM. I think it should have started with 32 GB with options for 64 GB, especially with the RAM soldered.
@lucasrem First of all, I can actually make use of that much memory because I use virtual machines. 16 GB would NEVER cut it. (I've tried and they keep crashing because of a lack of RAM.) Second, I use a Framework Laptop 16 with 64 GB of RAM; I use at least 32 GB of RAM with those VMs open. Third, speed of the RAM isn't everything. Sure, some things would be _slightly_ faster with LPDDR5 RAM, but I'd take slightly slower but replaceable RAM over having not enough but faster RAM. And fourth, saying Apple is better without context makes you sound biased towards Apple, when they start most of their lower-end products with anemic amounts of RAM for the price.
If you're going to be playing the latest AAA games you will feel the pinch of 16GB of RAM within the next few years. Some games already are using +16GB RAM.
It's not best 14". Could be the best 14" windows laptop. Just returned the G14 and back to the Apple MBP as besides gaming, the MBP beats this hands down in all other aspects, just leaving this here so that not everyone gets swayed by marketing.
@@MyronZhao I'm not a gamer, so doesn't bother me if I can't play them. I thought the G14 would have been close to the MBP in terms of build, performance, battery and the cherry on top is that I could game on it if I wished. Sadly for me it's not even close to the MBP especially the battery life.
@@mas91-w1r when I purchased my G14 a couple of years ago, I was also debating between MBP 14. But I ultimately went with the G14 because for the same configuration, the MBP cost $1000 more. I also don't play games but it was a nice to have feature to play some older games I had. The G14 surprisingly gets me 10 hours on battery when I bring it to work to do productivity tasks or watch videos.
@@MyronZhao that’s great you like your g14. If with your usage you get 10 hours on the G14, I’m confident you’d get double than that on the MBP. This year the G14 costs more than the MBP for comparable specs. Cheers
The 32GB, 4070 Version costs around €2.500 in the EU (depending on the market). Hence it‘s hard to believe that the 4060 Version costs €3.000,- but maybe you checked the prices in some non-Eurozone country with a weak currency…🤔
the g14 got nerfed to appeal the entire market, hopefully though they increase the weight to last time with the same build quality, more powerful and charge a bit more while selling this model next year as well for those who don't want that much power
It’s not light. It’s heavy for its size. It’s not white. It’s gray. The OLED is not as good as the HP Omen’s but it is nice. The build quality is amazing 10/10. It’s a unique device but it’s overpriced.
It depends. The build is so much better this year and that means a lot long term. But performance is not better than last year so we need to keep that in mind. I think if you have last year's model, there is no compelling reason to upgrade. If you are coming from an older model that that, its a very good upgrade.
@@andrewmarcdavid build, design and an a oled screen is no excuse in my opinion. Performance matters alot and a downgrade is unacceptable. For me is just a stunt from asus and for that reason i skip this year and probably go Lenovo, for the first time in my life. Amazing products well priced.

M1 Macbook air
Thanks for the review, when I saw the RAM not upgradable Im kinda disappointed on this laptop..
does playing games 1080p on 2.8K 14 inch screen look bad?
No it looks fine. I have a 2.5k 14 inch screen IPS, looks super clear.
@@MyronZhaobut there is like big black border around it right
Can anyone please explain why is it in Malaysia this laptop comes with 32gb ram??? And the price is roughly USD$1900
Is it the best 14 inch laptop? No. But it's decent, as long as you get a model with 32 GB of RAM. I think it should have started with 32 GB with options for 64 GB, especially with the RAM soldered.

What laptop u use now, why you should use more than 16 Gb now, future updates you need ?
So mem is slower !
apple is still better.
@lucasrem First of all, I can actually make use of that much memory because I use virtual machines. 16 GB would NEVER cut it. (I've tried and they keep crashing because of a lack of RAM.)
Second, I use a Framework Laptop 16 with 64 GB of RAM; I use at least 32 GB of RAM with those VMs open.
Do you feel like 16gb of ram is enough for AAA games?
If you're going to be playing the latest AAA games you will feel the pinch of 16GB of RAM within the next few years. Some games already are using +16GB RAM.
What about fan noise?
Did you watch the video?
is it 14,5 inches or plain simple 14 ?!
simple 14
pls do it g16 next
Already underway
lets go
It's not best 14". Could be the best 14" windows laptop.
Just returned the G14 and back to the Apple MBP as besides gaming, the MBP beats this hands down in all other aspects, just leaving this here so that not everyone gets swayed by marketing.
What do you use for gaming then?
Cheers
$1600 is expensive? It comes at $3000 for the same model at Europe LOL
The 32GB, 4070 Version costs around €2.500 in the EU (depending on the market). Hence it‘s hard to believe that the 4060 Version costs €3.000,- but maybe you checked the prices in some non-Eurozone country with a weak currency…🤔
Is not all aluminium
Lose the slash
It doesn’t feel premium in person.
You’re kidding right?
@@andrewmarcdavid Yoga Pro feels and looks premium in my hands, in my opinion.
I have this laptop, you smoking crack if you think it doesn’t look premium in person
@@Hayvimo I have one too. I like it a lot. But it’s not the most premium laptop on the market. Let’s not get delusional.
that wobble is disgusting
Its glossy OH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

the g14 got nerfed to appeal the entire market, hopefully though they increase the weight to last time with the same build quality, more powerful and charge a bit more while selling this model next year as well for those who don't want that much power
They should have two product lines: a g14 and m14. One can be super thin and light, the other thicker and more powerful.
It’s not light. It’s heavy for its size. It’s not white. It’s gray. The OLED is not as good as the HP Omen’s but it is nice. The build quality is amazing 10/10. It’s a unique device but it’s overpriced.
This laptop is only average. Not
worth the money. Wait for next year. You are downgrading from last year.
