Would have been better if you had just released it, we watch everything you make but drip feeding clips to hype seems pointless and annoying, after I’ve listed to all the clips because it all I can get them I listen to the whole episode and have skip 9 minutes I’ve already heard, I get it l, it’s better for your view count because it artificially adds multiple views to the same content but it’s annoying and feels shitty from a follower point of view

What’s so odd to me is the sheer quantity of people complaining about his “dramatic, performative pauses”. Where I come from, saying nothing when you’re formulating a thought is way better than filling in the silence with words like “umm”, “ahh”, “sooo”, “you know”, and my all time favorite, “like”. From a public speaking standpoint he is tremendous. Not sure if people just aren’t familiar with good public speakers in this society of real housewives and child politicians or what.

I’ve done public speaking and studied it prior, and yes; pausing to allow for reflection, pondering, or digestion of ideas, or questions etc and making eye contact with your audience is important in maintaining their engagement and anticipation.

Ah, the results of a neverending flashy stream of 300 MPH have-it-right-now 30 second average "shorts" or clips on these platforms, scrolling one straight in to the next. Constant noise, movement and stimulation becomes a pacifier. People have been so systematically conditioned, or socially engineered to have such short attention spans so much now that it makes them feel uncomfortable to slow it down, stop and reflect within a discussion like these fine gentlemen do.

I notice the difference in the medical field. Getting someone’s vital signs now (I still take blood pressure manually), vs 20 years ago is vastly different. People’s eye movements are frequent, they can’t just sit and look at the wall or the floor, they don’t know where to look, they don’t know what to do with their hands without their phone, they don’t know what to do in general when there’s a few seconds of no talking, or if there’s a few seconds of silence in general. They either have to be moving, talking or they have to get out their phone. It’s moderately infuriating.

Agreed. It’s understating things to say he’s thoughtful but he’s just thoughtful
It’s bizarre how certain critiques are infectious. Talking about him in this way is like a trend of some sort
Granted I will say he’s not great at packaging and delivering a point which is to say he’s not great at simplifying what he’s talking about. But he’s sooooo much better than he used to be …I assume he’s aware of this.

Eric, our interest in J E and why people are still talking about him is precisely because we know he could not have accomplished what he had in a vacuum. We know there are people "above" him that "permitted" his lifestyle. That is why we are curious to the nature of anybody that had association with him, financial or otherwise. And we KNOW the kind and calibre of some of the people he has "entertained". And we are suspicious. And I think that is the appropriate vibe.

We often forget that Epstein was a rich lister, with an island, very charming and fun to hang out with.
Pretty much everyone wanted to hangout with Jeffrey Epstein, so why not the most famous physicist on the planet?
It was only after some allegations came out against him in the early 2000s that he was involved in sex trafficking that his popularity took a hit but many still stuck by him cos, remember, many just thought they were allegations brought against him by his "enemies" who were jealous of him and his money.
Of course, as more evidence came out, it became a different story.
So really, there is no question why Hawking wouldn't want to hang out with Epstein.
Everyone famous enough and rich enough did at one point.

Insatiable. Humans are simple. All that matters is money power celebrity status. You are just blinded by your own bias for whatever reason you don't like EW, therefore you didn't even listen to hear it. EW is speculating. It's all speculation, but it isn't much of a stretch that the hyper wealthy are corrupt and do horrible things like trafficking under age humans for you know what. The hyper wealthy and powerful all involved so they need to cover it all up. The puppet masters never get revealed until it's too late. Example: Harvey Weinstein, Mohammed Al Fayed, P Diddy... Duh.

Totally with you here... I honestly believe that Eric W. is a great litmus test for those who can think critically and those who are trying very hard but it is mostly going over their capability to understand the larger concept and frame of reference. I see this quite often. What happens to me when I watch an Eric W back and forth is I am half the time baffled at the questions given him as if the interviewer shouldn't be so daft at getting to the meat of the problem... OR Eric asks an even better question that makes me realized I have also been looking at the wrong portion of the problem. It sharpens one's ability to get past the noise to the most applicable part of the issue at hand.

He ultimately does answer the question, but he very wisely starts by asking the interviewer to give his answers first. If nothing else, he at least clarified the question before answering it. And it is also true that the answer basically is, “We don’t actually know the answer, but we can speculate as to what the answer might be. We can also perhaps find a way to ask a better question.”

The simplest explanation is Epstein, when not conning people or raping girls, loved watching Nova and a part of him believed he could’ve been a scientist, but his life is too busy with other things.
If he was inviting jazz musicians to the island, it would also be reasonable to guess he loved jazz and believed if he took saxophone lessons he’d be one of the greats. Not every explanation about Epstein needs to fit a Bond villain character arc.

The reason why people are suspicious is because Epstein paid people to cover-up allegations of Hawking having sex with minors, which means that he was somehow afraid of that allegation leading back to him. That doesn't mean Hawking is guilty, but it also makes him rather suspicious.

So given this was in the 90's, he would have been part of an early pack of banks trying to forecast stocks to buy and sell, and when.

A lot of people commented that Eric was a master in the art of saying nothing and expected some answers. He already did people! In his podcast! He spoke his mind to whoever wanted to hear it. He received death threats due to that. He knows the answers to the questions he is given here. But he can't say them, for whatever reason. He may even want to protect his family and close ones. The way he constructs his narrative to answer something he probably has no idea about, while perfectly capturing your attention and curiosity in the process, projects the image that what he knows or what he's about to say is always five layers above the question that he’s being asked.
And he loves realizing that his audience is on the highest peak of curiosity, thirsty for his perspective, while subtly projects the idea that he is the all-knowing master of every subject. That’s his method of feeding his insatiable ego, always craving larger amounts of external validation.

Annnnd that would most likely be the Mossad...or at the very least, a Mossad/CIA joint effort. Do you see the power that you would have over a nation's foreign and domestic policy making if you have explosive, career-ending blackmail materials involving a good many of the people responsible for crafting and voting on those policies? Let's take that a step further and say that you have those same kind of materials on people that have very valuable insider information about the stock market? Do you see the economic potential in using the threat of releasing those materials to attain insider stock information? Now, look at alllllll the people Epstein had associations with and all the people that were reportedly regulars on his "Lolita Express" and on his island. Do you see the power in leveraging that kind of threat? Now, consider the idea that the weilder isn't really "Epstein," but the Mossad and possibly CIA as well...

I had no idea that physics has been killed. I took the most advanced mathematics at West Point. When I went to SUNY in 91 & 92 I was told that all of my mathematics from then on would be theoretical. As the mother of two young children, I decided to be a stay at home mom instead. This was a wise choice given the horrific targeting I would come to endure later. I had wanted to go back to school when my youngest went into first grade. Unfortunately auto accidents (rear ending by a courier for lawyers) and horrific targeting struck me first. I tried to get things investigated which only led to lost custody. My ex’s brother, a silicone valley patent attorney, was gifted my children to raise. I had divorced in 1998. We are living in an extremely corrupted, unjust, and cruel world!
Keep doing these great podcasts, both of you, please!
