What’s so odd to me is the sheer quantity of people complaining about his “dramatic, performative pauses”. Where I come from, saying nothing when you’re formulating a thought is way better than filling in the silence with words like “umm”, “ahh”, “sooo”, “you know”, and my all time favorite, “like”. From a public speaking standpoint he is tremendous. Not sure if people just aren’t familiar with good public speakers in this society of real housewives and child politicians or what.

Totally with you here... I see Eric's point clearly... and can see exactly why he posits the questions to the questions... its his way of saying "Do you want to go down a useless tangent that will produce no results or insight.... or do you want to stop studying string theory (or the conversational equivalent of it) and think of this MORE relevant question that gets you to your answer much more efficiently and directly. I honestly believe that Eric W. is a great litmus test for those who can think critically and those who are trying very hard but it is mostly going over their capability to understand the larger concept and frame of reference. I see this quite often. What happens to me when I watch an Eric W back and forth is I am half the time baffled at the questions given him as if the interviewer shouldn't be so daft at getting to the meat of the problem... OR Eric asks an even better question that makes me realized I have also been looking at the wrong portion of the problem. It sharpens one's ability to get past the noise to the most applicable part of the issue at hand.
This guy is so GUARDED with answers. In fact, he usually turns the subject around by asking a question to the host instead. It gives the impression that he is the host.
@@petetony310 He is hiding something. He knows, or suspects things he can't say or they would come after him, so he's giving us the cryptic clues to work it out for ourselves.
This reminds me of the Episode in Parks & Rec where Ron Swanson is interrogated by city officials regarding something that happened with Leslie Knopp, and to be a hostile witness, he answers every question with a question.
Eric asked the perfect question: Why are we concerned with this construct JE? Why don’t we instead get concerned with JE’s builder, the people who’s behind him?
Eric Weisnstein gets the "unclear on the concept award." Epstein had no interest or ability, whatsoever, in theoretical physics. Rather he collected prominent people, and insinuated himself into elite institutions, to burnish his image of brilliance and invincibility. In turn, that's what he peddled to his "VIP johns," and to the naive girls he scammed.
They're particle colliders. And the fastest particles were measured in space. Collisions in atmosphere have high energy. Cern is held together by redneck "idk why that magnet works but it does. Don't move it" stuff like that, and actual duct tape. Lmao. Accelerators have been around since ww2. We can't even get one big enough to show us more fundementals, without putting it in space
The common denominator between entertainers, politicians, and academics is that they all socialize with each other. Chris Tucker can introduce you to Jay-Z who can in turn introduce you to Obama. Why does Hawking have to be interesting beyond who he knows?
I lose patience really quickly with people who answer every question with "well what do you think?" coupled with an affected smug smile, in an attempt to appear wise and profound.
@@stephj9378 Do we, really? Guess what, you say? Well thankyou for your profound words of wisdom. I see why you like Weinstein's patronising, cringe inducing delivery.
Its not a better question, we know what they wanted from Epstein, degeneracy and secual encounters that he could provide. Epsteins reasons and handlers aren't being discussed enough because they also own the media
There’s a major difference between someone who is avoiding a question and someone who is using the Socratic method. He ultimately does answer the question, but he very wisely starts by asking the interviewer to give his answers first. If nothing else, he at least clarified the question before answering it. And it is also true that the answer basically is, “We don’t actually know the answer, but we can speculate as to what the answer might be. We can also perhaps find a way to ask a better question.”
Limitless power in the form of travel. They talk about time travel on the web. Epstein was looking for limitless power. That was his answer. I love that he builds up to the answer; he wants you to think. That’s what a good teacher does/
He can't. Some of what he knows may require a security clearance. Legally you can't say anything, but you can ask questions and talk about surrounding topics until the audience comes to their own conclusions.
This isn’t cryptic, he simply doesn’t want to answer the question, he knows something but he bypasses the question with questions on physics and the power there of. 😅
The Elite Breeding Program was totally swept away.. the NM Ranch, the student recuts from MIT, Harvard and other Ivy League Universities.. where are all the children??? This went on for years..
The simplest explanation is Epstein, when not conning people or raping girls, loved watching Nova and a part of him believed he could’ve been a scientist, but his life is too busy with other things. If he was inviting jazz musicians to the island, it would also be reasonable to guess he loved jazz and believed if he took saxophone lessons he’d be one of the greats. Not every explanation about Epstein needs to fit a Bond villain character arc.
Bingo, I knew the guy and he was extremely boring. There is no conspiracy other than he managed to acquire an island where famous people didn't have to worry about the papparazi when they partied. There was no cabal or big secret, his parties had thousands of attendess..but people want a 'list' lol.
The reason why people are suspicious is because Epstein paid people to cover-up allegations of Hawking having sex with minors, which means that he was somehow afraid of that allegation leading back to him. That doesn't mean Hawking is guilty, but it also makes him rather suspicious.
I don't think JE was interested in Hawking. I think whoever was behind JE was interested in him and wanted JE to get close to learn something that Hawking wouldn't talk about to the public
My guess is physicists are good at Quantitative Mathematics, what use is that to Epstein? Helping him write software that can help him predict and analyze market trends.. what are the banks current "hot shots" Quants.. aka, Quantitative Analysts. So given this was in the 90's, he would have been part of an early pack of banks trying to forecast stocks to buy and sell, and when. Because how did Epstein make money? Stock Market.
The bible warns "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places". Ephesians 6:12
Nowadays people are so numb and intoxicated with massive loads of content everywhere, that they forget to use their brains. A lot of people commented that Eric was a master in the art of saying nothing and expected some answers. He already did people! In his podcast! He spoke his mind to whoever wanted to hear it. He received death threats due to that. He knows the answers to the questions he is given here. But he can't say them, for whatever reason. He may even want to protect his family and close ones. He wants us to make thought exercises and to talk as much as possible between ourselves and, then maybe, one day, someone will reach the right answer.
After living through Covid, I think everyone needs to be very aware of the political clout saying "Trust the Science" has. Having an instantly recognizable scientist in your pocket is an obvious political advantage.
bahaha that's it! He saw the future and with the help of hawkins and others he wormholed his way out!! That probably explains why the cameras were on the fritz!!
Not an auspicious start. Replying to questions with questions, asking what you thought was terrible about it when you hadn't.....he seems really up himself and no way am I going to watch the podcast. Have enjoyed many others though and look forward to more.

Not only Stephen Hawking. Many scientists went to the island. Former head of media lab, some recent female Nobel laureates… and yes, they saw the girls and kept their mouths shut
All the haters in the comments. Eric had the distinction of being the first person to have figured out Epstein, years before the docs dropped. Guy deserves respect.
He didn't figure out epstein. Certainly wasnt the first. Per his own recollection he had an interaction that he found extremely strange and off putting and thought he might be a "construct".
Hawking was old news in physics. The science had moved past him years ago. Footnote: when Einstein died Mossad showed up at his house and took everything. They gathered his notes with everything else and drove off with them in a truck. I'm serious. "After Albert Einstein died in 1955, Israeli officials came to clean out his office at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton."
I like Eric. I dont understand why anyone can dislike him! What is there to hate? He is intelligent and kind and full of stories and interesting bits of information! And he is kindly n decent! ❤ Eric Weinstein!
This guy is one of the best people I've ever seen in the art of disguising his overly inflated ego. The way he constructs his narrative to answer something he probably has no idea about, while perfectly capturing your attention and curiosity in the process, projects the image that what he knows or what he's about to say is always five layers above the question that he’s being asked. And he loves realizing that his audience is on the highest peak of curiosity, thirsty for his perspective, while subtly projects the idea that he is the all-knowing master of every subject. That’s his method of feeding his insatiable ego, always craving larger amounts of external validation. He’s never in doubt, and he’s never wrong. The ultimate source of absolute truth, which no-one other than him knows about
Yes. Everyone is fixated on the horrible aspect of what happened to underage people on his island, but tend to forget about the money, the power, the (possible) blackmail, and most of all why and who was/is behind it all.
Please Eric, open the Portal back up and put 5% of your time toward finding the right people and pressing on the right questions to get real answers! No one else seems willing or able!
It’s the intellectual cheerleader effect. You gain credibility by interfacing with hawking that you can leverage socially with others. Epstein wasn’t interested in Hawking per se. The people Epstein was interested in were interested in Hawking
I almost didn’t watch this because of the comments, but I took a chance and I can say for certain that he clearly answered it. The relationship is physics. Why physics? He said when you understand physics or you can control those that understand it, you control the world. Why? Because those that can harness the power of physics can make nuclear bombs, travel space, control resources, etc.
I worked at the SSC for General Dynamics in 1991 thru the contract termination. The reason it was shut down was due to mismanagement of funds by people in charge. It was also because those writing the checks had no idea what benefits were possible. Or what benefits could/would be developed just by attempting to achieve what CERN has. SSC would have done it decades earlier, imo. Those are the reasons.
Epstien simply put influential people together to attract them to his events. People puff up near other people of influence. If they want to appear smart they puff up next to people known for their intellect. Not my original idea. Neurobiologist Dr. Andrew Huberman’s. Makes sense
I’ve never heard anyone, until now, bring up the fact that there was someone that controlled Jeff Epstein. That is the person or persons that we should really be concerned about
Annnnd that would most likely be the Mossad...or at the very least, a Mossad/CIA joint effort. Do you see the power that you would have over a nation's foreign and domestic policy making if you have explosive, career-ending blackmail materials involving a good many of the people responsible for crafting and voting on those policies? Let's take that a step further and say that you have those same kind of materials on people that have very valuable insider information about the stock market? Do you see the economic potential in using the threat of releasing those materials to attain insider stock information? Now, look at alllllll the people Epstein had associations with and all the people that were reportedly regulars on his "Lolita Express" and on his island. Do you see the power in leveraging that kind of threat? Now, consider the idea that the weilder isn't really "Epstein," but the Mossad and possibly CIA as well...
@@dboi4952 U are right. I don’t know what I was thinking. Of course he was just a pawn being used by very powerful people that we never hear about. I’m sure he was just one of the many people that were being used by the elites nefarious and disgusting acts
I have a great friend that is absolutely brilliant. Like a legitimate genius. He is the head of cyber security for an energy company. He talks like this, where he thinks hes answering a question, but said a whole lot of what sounds like nonsense. After all my years, I think its a filter problem, in how they see the world, and rationalize it into words.
I think you guys overthinking it. If an investor (broader sense, might be a state..) want to invest long term in tech, then bet in fields which potentially having very unexpected, long term tech impact. It is like Softbank betting on software (all software, whole field). Bio, Chem is a little old, crowded, Physics potentially has a lot of steam in it. Quantum, Materials-Semiconductors is already crowded, what do you bet on what no one used for tech yet? Far end f particle physics, cosmology, gravitation is on potential field that may have huge impact without people betting on it.
That depends: If you’re just interested in his work, that’s probably fine. But if you’re trying to lure him into an international blackmail racket alongside many other powerful people. Then that’s a bit dodgy.
They were nerding out a bit much…..if the question is what would Epstein (and the intel networks he works for) want with Stephen Hawking it might not be about understanding or possessing Hawking’s knowledge They want to blackmail leading scientists so that they will support different agendas that they push So whether you have a preventable pandemic or you’re wanting the world to obsess about the climate so that you can restructure society….if renowned scientists are in sync with the narrative/propaganda, it’s useful So the real question is what other leading scientists are blackmailed?
Thanks Eric; so many true words. The rest of us need to jump on board and continue this first tier discussion on Physics, not sidetrack on the riff-raff. Thankyou.🕊
Truth is this guy had 0 answers but loves the idea of acting like he knows more then you do. (Im refering to the question, What did epstien want with hawkins?)
04:04 We assume neutrino's travel through space and reach earth unscaved, but I think that's a huge assumption because we have now clue in what state these 'neutrinos' left and what they lost along the way . . . The neutrinos we talk about, could be what remains of a bigger particle.
Testla wanted to give the world free electrical power but the powers that be, stopped him because who they may be saw what he was doing as a money maker
I really enjoy listening to you two. So refreshing to hear honest dialogue between two deep and well informed thinkers! I had no idea that physics has been killed. I took the most advanced mathematics at West Point. When I went to SUNY in 91 & 92 I was told that all of my mathematics from then on would be theoretical. As the mother of two young children, I decided to be a stay at home mom instead. This was a wise choice given the horrific targeting I would come to endure later. I had wanted to go back to school when my youngest went into first grade. Unfortunately auto accidents (rear ending by a courier for lawyers) and horrific targeting struck me first. I tried to get things investigated which only led to lost custody. My ex’s brother, a silicone valley patent attorney, was gifted my children to raise. I had divorced in 1998. We are living in an extremely corrupted, unjust, and cruel world! Keep doing these great podcasts, both of you, please! Many thanks!🙏
I think why he asks the interviewer questions is ; he doesn't want to say something that is obvious for him or common sense but instead he wants to pull the answer out of you .
Eric is role playing as Mr. Miyagi again, although he did get out a few statements like "why don't we care about physics anymore" that seem reasonable.
The Maxwell family works in scientific publishing, the importance of which has become apparent during the past four years. Spies and intelligence assets are very important in that field.

Makes sense.
This guy is so GUARDED with answers. In fact, he usually turns the subject around by asking a question to the host instead. It gives the impression that he is the host.
it gives the impression that hes hiding something
@@petetony310 He is hiding something. He knows, or suspects things he can't say or they would come after him, so he's giving us the cryptic clues to work it out for ourselves.
He needs to tell us without telling us. We need to read between the lines.

Eric asked the perfect question: Why are we concerned with this construct JE? Why don’t we instead get concerned with JE’s builder, the people who’s behind him?
So excited for round 2. The last time Eric was on was absolutely mesmerizing - can’t wait
I think this is his third appearance.
He fooled too! Don’t feel bad. I thought he had something to say as well but then I looked behind the curtain.

The common denominator between entertainers, politicians, and academics is that they all socialize with each other. Chris Tucker can introduce you to Jay-Z who can in turn introduce you to Obama. Why does Hawking have to be interesting beyond who he knows?

Never seen someone not answer a question so hard
That’s all he does on any of the podcasts I’ve seen him on.
Dude would make a great politician😂
I think he is rather trying to not answer in order to avoid he doesn't really have any.
Agreed
Ur saying epstein didn't abuse underage girls ?@stoneneils

I don't think JE was interested in Hawking. I think whoever was behind JE was interested in him and wanted JE to get close to learn something that Hawking wouldn't talk about to the public
That’s exactly what Eric Weinstein said
My guess is physicists are good at Quantitative Mathematics, what use is that to Epstein? Helping him write software that can help him predict and analyze market trends..
what are the banks current "hot shots" Quants.. aka, Quantitative Analysts.
So given this was in the 90's, he would have been part of an early pack of banks trying to forecast stocks to buy and sell, and when.

Not only Stephen Hawking. Many scientists went to the island. Former head of media lab, some recent female Nobel laureates… and yes, they saw the girls and kept their mouths shut

Hawking was old news in physics. The science had moved past him years ago. Footnote: when Einstein died Mossad showed up at his house and took everything.

Just answer the question.

I’m picking up a “Cosmic Giggle” vibe from this “Eric” character. 🥳🤪🥳

I love the answering questions with questions. It makes the interviewer work for his answer.
No one talks about the breeding program in place at Zorro ranch he had, the trafficking was low level in comparison to what was really happening
Eric and his abundance of caution. But a radical heart! Can never go wrong speaking with him or his brother for that matter.
Just to clarify, Congress stopped federal funding for the SCC in 1993 because it was $4.4 billion and way above budget.
Really? I've always thought of him as just the face or even member of a much bigger entity behind him.

I think you guys overthinking it.
