This helped me so much. I had been looking for a job for several months. Once I watched your videos I realized the mistakes I was making. After three weeks I got a great job. Thank you so much !!!!!!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all these interview oriented videos you post! I've found them quite helpful in preparing how I might decide to word answers during interviews!
I actually found your videos because I'm always forgetting "tough situations" or "great situations" that have happened in past employments, which makes current interviews obviously harder, and I was hoping you'd have more sample stories to jog my memory. Ahhh if you had a few more sample stories (like you have the sample weakness here) that might be even more helpful, but regardless I think your videos are wonderful! Thank you for making them ^-^
I am in favor of testing job applicants for their positions. The applicant with the top over all score gets the job. Very objective, very fair. It seems unfair that those who interview better would be more likely to get the job when others who interview poorly are in fact better qualified for jobs.
+Brian Ebers The point is you can learn to interview very very well so that you can get any job you want. Also, testing is already used for many job functions, however they are usually supplemented by behavioral Qs and other general interview questions because SOFT SKILLS and "FIT' matter- ultimately it's not only whether you can do the job, it's whether they will like working with you! Whether you are a fit to their team/organization.
Thank goodness I found this channel in good time. I have an interview next week Thursday (23/07/15). Thanks Careerly for the wonderful tips. You videos have really helped with my prep.

This is so far the best video I found regarding to this question! I totally relate to the example you shared and think I just find the way to present mine with an authentic approach yet not missing the point and just kill it :) thank you so much for sharing!
I benefitted so much from your videos. I love the authenticity and the genuine approach. Would recommend this to everyone.
Thank you Linda- I am so glad to hear that! - Hira
"My greatest weakness would be to accept answering the "What's your greatest weakness" question from recruiters when I really should be telling them I don't want to"
Hira, your all videos are amazing and incredibly useful! I really appreciate your job. Thanks a lot
Thank you! We'll pass on the message. She is always happy to know she's of some help.
I think cliché questions from interviewers, deserve cliché answers
+Carlos m OR... you could exceed expectations and GET THE JOB.
+Carlos m Ha ha.. very true
agree!
An attitude that will lead to one place:
Nowhere.
Believe me or not, if you disclose your greatest weakness, although the interviewer may be grateful for your honesty, the job is not given to you. If your weakness is very much job-related and can affect your ability to perform then the recruiter should be insane to hire you.
+Arash Salimi The question is about something relevant, yet not one that would seriously affect your ability to do the job... because clearly then you should not be interviewing for that job. Hope that makes sense!
You present excellent advice and you are an engaging host. Very helpful information.
Now only i heard a different ans for this question! yeah,Answering genuinely to an extent is better than "going thru detail" thanks careely.
Very interesting and useful tip, I like the way you are presenting . Thank you and well done

Without hesitating just say " While at work, I have been accused of walking around and talking to people as if I own the place""
you will be offered the job on the spot.
Love it. Finally someone with a good answer. We will quote you sir. :)
+Casparus Kruger - That is hilarious and you Sir are awesome!
seriously,?we can say that???
Yes. And don't say it in a light-hearted manner either. Be very serious.
Are you really serious? Ive got interviews on monday and wednesday and I am pretty sure these will be asked. I really like Hira's answers but then again i SUCK at telling lies. thats why i can't get away from anything with my wife. even to the point, "Did you like the lunch I packed for you?". Then i end up packing my own lunch for weeks.
I got wrongfully fired with Los Angeles county and won the lawsuit. What is the most appropriate answere if asked why do I let my previous job? Should I be honest with them about why I left. I am afraid if they may get scared from me. Please help me with a answer?
Never EVER tell a prospective employer that you have sued a previous employer....especially if you won! Lol. Just say something simple like you felt there weren't any career advancement opportunities.
good one thank you
Love this
My previous employer was going thru some financial hardships(big corp. & its all over news & I'm sure everyone knows it) and had reduced my hours from FT to PT/on call. Can I say this to the world famous "why you've left your previous employer question? Thx.
Can I say this question ' what is your weakness' is actually my weakness as I am not able to answer this question in interviews
I told them the reality "i wake up late, sleep late and cant manage time" . they rejected me :D
smart guy...
+Ali Waqas - LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Lol
Hi has anyone ever done a Hirevue video? If so, do you have any tips as far a these go?
are you from sri lanka?
you looks little Vidya bala. n you are really pretty . thx for ur videos. especially there is option for subtitles help more .thx
+surya mani You might have the option to choose subtitles at your end for each video- normally there's an icon that says CC.
Is it ok to say that my weakness is job interviews make me nervous?
Haha :) Probably not. But you can say something like: speaking with audiences that are unfamiliar is something that is not easy for you. HOWEVER, you have been working on this, (give an example) and now you feel more confident in these situations.
hi i have a question? how should i answer what is my weekness cuz i have trouble with money? how should i answer it?
Never use that as a weakness.
That will kill your chances.
You come across very well on screen but your real weakness is far too many Um's in your talk :) I'd suggest either simply pausing to let your last point sink in or having a list of key points (preferably just keywords) to speak about on screen.
+Michael Robinson Working on it- thanks for the feedback! Hira's videos are 'on the fly' and unscripted. Scripting will take away some of her natural style and authenticity. But we hear you!
You are gorgeous thanks for the info :)
My only problem with this video topic is that many people are going to reach for a believable lie to tell as opposed to speaking the truth. Only because doing so would mean them exposing themselves. Suppose a man or a women struggles with an addition, or every now and then they can be irresponsible. The believable lie in this case will probably win.
David Walker This question is typically about work-related weaknesses, and it really is best to come across as making a genuine attempt- e.g. difficulty delegating, public speaking, time management etc. It's not really about mental health issues or disabilities, which are private matters and no employer should ask you to disclose these.
Thank you for providing clarity.
I'm too single-minded at times.
um this is a generic explanation, but um maybe that is your weakness
+Travis Mohan we provide one or two 'types' of answers that would work ... beyond that it's for the candidate to figure out what they want to talk about.
is this girl from india?
does it matter ??? she is just giving you pointers that can apply any where
+tony soares i think she's Sri Lankan
The problem is that she is too attractive. I start paying attention to her than what she is saying.
Are those faces on the wall?
Um I like your um videos. But um, it think um you say um too much. Um it's not a great idea to um say um um all the um um time um
