Am surprised so few people appreciate this talk. I think I'm in a position to appreciate this talk better because I've had a similar experience earlier & had heard Jules Verne in the #SenseMaking series ( ruclips.net/video/xe_79RQhKBY/видео.html )... where he talks about his book The Art Of Losing Control, where he has collected experiences of transcendence from 14 different people. I think he's really good with the topic he's talking about Viz. spiritual emergency/transcendence/flow.
The ego is the conscious being's identification with the body and the ideas in the Mind. For humane people a persona is some effort to be socially acceptable in behavior and speech. An inhumane person's person is a total mask. Persona and ego are not the same thing.
i dont expect ANYTHING from jesus ...i have received enough ...THE GIFT OF LIFE ...its a life of servitude to him that is only valid thing .....otherwise, its selfish reasons and what YOU can receive...dont you get that?

The example of knitting as a means to get out of my chattering ego-mind resonated with me. I was knitting while listening to this RUclips lecture 🧶🙂🧶.
The lecture is not bad but the title is somewhat misleading. I thought it was actually about the science behind our spiritual experiences
