  • This excerpt from the Full "Build Cosplay Using EVA Foam & Pepakura Designer" Tutorial explains how to asses the 3D model in the Pepakura Designer Software and point out what cuts need to be a Bevel/Angle. There are different kinds of bevel cuts as well.
    I give a few examples on when to use this technique.
    Once you get an understanding of the concept, you can apply this method to ANY Foam pepakura template and apply it to your own Cosplay Project. I always build every project the exact same way. Using these exact techniques.

    What great timing!
    Really appreciate this insight into manipulating foam as well as tips and tricks that I can employ in my own work, thanks for the great video!
    One question I have though is do you have a particular thickness of foam that you like to use for your projects? and If so is there a reason you prefer it?
    I'm weighing up the options and I have some 10mm, 5mm and 2mm stuff that I'm thinking of using from largest to smallest to layer on those finer details, but also trying to reduce weight as much as possible so I'd be curious to know your thoughts!

    Great tutorial Stealth, how often do you change blades when doing a full body armor?
    Do you think laser cutting template pieces would improve efficiency?

    • @Heroesworkshop
      @Heroesworkshop  3 года назад +1

      I try to sharpen them when I can but I mostly buy them in bulk and change them out after every part I’ve built. It’s 5cents a blade when I do the math. Not a big loss. Laser cutting is great for cutting the template out for sure. I’ve seen people cut the foam out with a laser as well. I like to cut my bevels when I cut the piece out. You’d have to cut the bevel yourself after the laser cut. So technically a human is faster than a laser in this case for foam but laser is way faster to cut the template out.

    I have a question about your Halo Infinite armor files. Is there any chance that you're going to change the files to be more accurate when the game comes out, and send the updated files to the people who’ve already bought it? I would like to know because I recently bought the files and the files look similar to the ones inside the Fortnite game files which are really inaccurate. The differences are easier to see in the new Infinite reveal that came out today during the Xbox E3 Infinite section ( ruclips.net/video/wDZ-9B6hX5A/видео.html ), but they can even be seen on the toys (it's even missing details that the very inaccurate fortnite files have, like the vents in the back, an indent on the forearm, and a protruding piece in the center collarbone). I’m eagerly awaiting your response. Also, congrats on 117k subscribers, Master Chief would be proud.

    • @garbagepanda8

      @@Heroesworkshop Sorry if it sounded kind of rude, I meant it as the Fortnite ones were inaccurate, not yours.
