- The Yamaha Viking 700 is a great UTV that is well suited to the farm, from work to play. I had a couple of minor dislikes but overall it performed very well for the week that I have been testing it.
The best UTV for farm work? Tell us in the comments below! Авто/Мото

The slow mo of Mrs Ozzie, was a definite, "hold my beer and watch this" moment..
Our Viking has been bulletproof for 5 years now ! Will literally go anywhere with the lockers front and back , original belt is still going strong too
My thanks to both you and mrs Ozzie for the excellent review. I. Looking at my first sxs and have been looking at this closely
Great vid guys and the review was all the better for having both of your experience and opinions on the vehicle 😊👌👍 great job team Ozzie 😉
Had mine since memorial Day, currently have 1300 miles on it. 52 inch light bar, windshield an installed kfi winch plate with 3500# winch. Had mine everywhere they are tanks very impressed with its capabilities!!
These little vehicles are great on a farm and are fun to drive. They beat walking that is for sure. The Yamaha looks good. We have an older one made by Club Car, the golf cart company. Ours is four wheel drive, powered by a little Kubota Diesel engine and has a really good aluminium tray on the back that tilts. It’s so handy.
FYI: The air filter is NOT under the drivers seat. When you take the cover off there is nothing under it. Its designed for an aftermarket storage box.
Great review guys,I don't know a great deal about utvs but I know more now.
Love the review and love the intro ozzie...👍
Great machine, thanks Ozzie. There is very good underbody protection and bullbar available for it.
Iv had mine for about 4 months Ozzie. Absolutely awesome rig. Iv got a 40inch lightbar across the roof of mine. Aswell as a few other modified accessories. Once you modify it to your needs. It becomes a weapon
I’m getting so used to it now and it’s going to kill me handing it back as it’s been so useful with further firearm reviews that I’ve done too, just so handy!
ozziereviews should buy one Ozzie they are so handy
Thanks 4 the great video, I don't know what I liked better the Viking or Mrs. Ausie..😍
Great Machine I have one, we love it
beautiful property!
Dam my kinda gal she grabbed some air there ! 😅 😂 🤣 . I have an 08 rhino with alot of accessories on it and us it n my logging operation . I just love this machine . I think there the best on the market . Glad to here there making them again . Woah UA little pricey ! Nice review .
I'm almost tempted to sell my boat and buy one! If I had the land to use one I probably would!!
Hellooooo Mrs Ozzie!!!
Great review Oz, thanks.
,
Mrs Aussie is definitely a rev head😂
Great video mate but how did you live with that squeak the time you had it? Drove me mad just listening to it on the video.
I hope the 2021 have the single handle tailgate. In Canada I don’t think we have the horn.
Hopefully they brought the running temperature down. Andy Mello came out with a system bringing it down to 180*. Which is the best on the market. Location of the radiator needs better placement from keeping mud out of it. Owner of a 2017 Yamaha Viking. A lower gear ratio would be nice. Love the machine, but to much upgrades for a machine handling Alaska Worlderness.
The air filter is under the drivers seat? Does that mean if you fart the gas goes into the engine and gives you an extra power boost?
I noticed the bed was squeaking , I'll be using mine for hunting or is there a remedy to stop the squeak? Thank you
Great Review
The second driver was the best. 😊
Hi Ozzie
Recently found out these have a locked. Rear diff. How did you find this around the farm. ? Does it leave tracks. Driving normally ?
2018 Viking EPS owner here. This machine needs a Turf mode and a Park mode without question. Why they don't have those I don't know.
Mrs. Ozzie is a better driver than Mr. Ozzie...LOL....have a nice evening, from Glamis, California, the Sand Capital of the Desert Southwest United States.
I bought a viking in 2016. It blowed up the first year I never had it in any mud and hardly ever went over 25 mph. Had new engine put on a month later my exhaust fell off due to engine vibration breaking my exhaust studs off in the head. Had it retapped lasted about 6 months and did it again. The engine vibration is horrible even with the factory engine shock absorber.
is that engine brace standard 2:30
Missus Ozzie???!!! Good Golly Miss Molly!!!! You sly devil, you! Little bit jealous, but congrats mate, you're living the dream!
On a less serious note, do you know of any cheaper options for these types of vehicles? Or are the cheaper options not worth it considering where they're probably made?
No not really but I would stick with common quality brands like Yamaha, Polaris etc
😂
Nice review mate. How tall are you? And do you fit in this ok?
Heaps of room and I’m 6”5, it was crazy when I sat in it just how much space there is 👍
Is Mrs Ozzie the real Stig?
Did you end up buying it Ozzie ?
defo needs a light bar for night....Mrs Ozzie drives harder than you hahahaha
21,000. Dollars.
As good as it may be, Yamaha can fuck all the way off with that price point. I'd rather find an old ute to use as a farm vehicle.
Farm vehicles for some reason are expensive. We bought a 2007 UTV for $6k last year. It’s cheaper but it’s expensive all the same for a 15 year old car. You would not pay that much for a 15 year old Falcon or Commodore.
I didn't know Yamaha still made the Rhino.
They don't. This is a Viking. 🙄
What about this vs say a 20k second hand Ute/car proposition for work or play
Yeah it's just not the same tho mate, this just allows such easy access around the farm because it's more compact, having no front window you can easy shoot from the cab, having the tilt tray too just makes life easier and its pretty economical on fuel too. I've had it for over a week now and I can honestly say I'm going to miss the hell out of it, it just made farm life all that bit easier honestly...
The UTV’s are also miles better on wet/soggy ground. They also ride a lot better over rough ground than a ute. I have done a bit of shooting out of a mates Canam. It is a great shooting vehicle. If I had somewhere to park one I would have one. They are a heap of fun as well.
Ya you can drive it right into the swamp and stop and then take off no problem
Sure looks just like an Axxis 700
I went with a kubota sidekick instead of this
I’d have to sort that squeaking out. Sounds like a canned ham
Had ours for 2 years its a little creaky- squeaky but with lockers front and back came with full skid plates. Tha thing goes off road and with zero problems i would buy another in a minute
Shut up and take my money
Just making some constructive criticism.

Just buy a second hand Toyota hilux.
