First Challenge with our BMW M1000RR! | M1000RR Series Part 5

- After our first ride, we immediately had things we needed to address!
First, to get through these break-in miles a little more pleasantly, we are upgrading the fuel cap to the TWM Quick Release fuel cap. This time, we are using the carbon fiber cap, but once we upgrade our fuel tank to the Fullsix carbon fiber fuel tank, we'll swap the fuel cap to the titanium model, for the contrast!
Another glaring issue, is that above 40MPH, the mirrors vibrate like crazy, leaving them unusable. So the Rizoma stealth mirrors is the way to go, however, we run into fitment issues!
The new 2023 BMW M1000RR has different bodywork for the mirrors, and the Rizoma mirrors just don't fit. We are not sure whether Rizoma will create an updated design specifically for the M1000RR, but if not, we have to figure out a different solution for our mirrors.

Mani, who makes the Insta 360 holder for the foot peg position that you are using? Maybe you can offer those on your site. Also, I can attest to the comment about needing a machine shop to fix the threads. I would also add that the titanium bolts dont work with the carbon twm cap.
3D print a spacer that is the same shape of the recess but raises the mirror enough to get it off the fairing? maybe taper it so it matches up with the base of the mirror
The upper corners go over the edge, but this is actually a pretty good idea!

Mr Manny what do you do with parts you remove from the specials you build?
You know after seeing 2WDW flash and tune a 23 Kawasaki zx4rr and getting a impressive 77hp with no upgrades, it actually made me appreciate what manufacturers are trying to do, in giving us consumers a good enjoyable product. With that said, I would be interested in seeing a M1000RR flashed and tuned with zero modifications just to see where it would sit both power wise but also on the road. I get, including myself no one leaves a bike bone stock, but I believe there’s valuable information in seeing where the bike sits literally in weight as well as how it performs at its true base.This isn’t a shot or me being disrespectful in anyway just a thought. I do believe that vibration that you feel at 40, once properly tuned would be gone, and then you can see and feel the bike truly the way the manufacturers meant them to be if there were no emissions hoops they have to jump through. Sorry for the rant

If the bikes comes with SC Project, people will change to Akrapovic etc. If it comes with Akrapovic, they'll change to SC Project etc. The bike owners are happy, shops like this are happy, everybody happy. I really love the nonsense. 🤣
I guess that is the way you see things perhaps. This one came with Akrapovic, we will still use Akrapovic on it, we have our own reasoning. But bitter people like you will never be satisfied ;)
I bet you have a bad coil pack and its giving you a misfire throwing you a nasty code! I would hook up your GS911 and double check to see if its that so you then can steer your tech in the direction before he dives down the rabbit hole!

its a race engine, so don't turn bike off and on every minute , its doesn't like it hence error code

@@Motomillion the engine error code u got was because the bike was overheating by starting it all the time and not moving the sensor on the M is sensitive… the m engine is not a normal S MOTOR it’s completely different, the bike needs cooling and it don’t like traffic too

After first service, the rev limiter can be removed, but no other restriction can be removed unless the bike is flashed.
