    This ship Needs 2 size 4 pilot controlled weapons instead of the size 3S. And a size 3 shield. There are starter ships with better weapons and shields than this. The speed needs to be increased. This should be the fastest ship in the game. That’s what it was sold as back in 2016 when I bought it. Now it’s obsolete!

    • @Furnace2552-cz8iy
      @Furnace2552-cz8iy 8 месяцев назад +1

      Not to that extent but overall agree. Should be fast and tanky but I'd keep the guns and give much more HP/a size 3 shield

    • @temhgb
      @temhgb 8 месяцев назад +2

      At that point, just get rid of the speed limit out of atmosphere, and make the speed stats into power of engines (ability to move out of atmosphere and whatnot) and acceleration lol
      Nah but if you’re going to use an upper medium sized datarunner as a pve/pvp ship, of course you’re gonna run into some problems.
      Then again, I used to use a hull A for pve so I shouldn’t complain

      @@Furnace2552-cz8iy it’s a data runner.
      As described in the video, it’s supposed to be able to survive long enough to run away.
      Sure, I agree it should have stronger shields, but that’s pretty much it.
      About it being slow, it really isn’t. It’s just not faster than small fighters, which are meant to be able to chase down larger ships.

    • @Furnace2552-cz8iy
      @Furnace2552-cz8iy 8 месяцев назад

      @@temhgb actually, lot fighters aren't supposed to chase large ships. That's what interceptors are made for. Especially the f8 which is our first heavy interceptor (Even though Asop calls it a heavy fighter)

  • @ShadowGirl-

    Blades will only work for remote turrets anyway, these are manned turrets and will always require a body, player or npc.
    Also the scanner seat has never trapped anyone on this ship, and if you get into it, you can deploy the sensor dish on top, which is a much more stylish way to fly the ship.

    I love my MSR especially with the Nightrunner skin on it. I don't think I could ever give it up. It's got a place in my permanent fleet. That being said, I don't disagree with anything you said. It's not going to have much use or utility until data running comes into play and they really need to add a second entrance. Until then the C1 or Corsair will remain my daily drivers and the MSR will only come out once in awhile just to give it a shake down.

    Nice concise review. You pretty well listed most folks impressions. It looks gorgeous. Great range, pretty good speed and maneuverability. Not bad cargo capacity. But….
    Kinda chunky looking.
    The cool lower deck for combat gameplay …. Really would rather have more cargo space and say a elevator airlock?
    Why are the servers in the hallways?
    A elevator in the cargo bay? All these doors in the bay where they can get obstructed by cargo?
    The rear of the C1, with a entryway between the rap cargo bay, engineering etc doors … much better thought out. With all the rambling areas in the interior there’s lots of room for a better placed elevator, maybe a airlock or exit hatch or two?
    Did they deliberately under gun it to sell gun upgrades?
    Still gorgeous. Still has some real strong points. But screams work in progress.

    It's a data running ship that you can't run data in yet, it's got 'secret' passageways that everyone knows about, it has a shielded cargo area any pirate will know to check, it has plenty of firepower...if you have two friends willing to man turrets. It feels like for every upside it has an equal downside. In its current state it's pretty useless unless you want to run medium cargo. Maybe once data running is in and those turrets can be pilot controlled it'll become competitive with other ships in its class.

  • @RavingNut
    @RavingNut 7 месяцев назад

    Yeah this ship is lacking in what it is made for and is out classed on either side for what it has right now (i.e cargo and fire power). However, I truly enjoy the MSR with all those downsides.
    The stuff I have done in this ship with no dedicated play loop that it is made for, has made up for it. I have done transport pickups (a player with their Cyclone), as their ship was destroyed by a bounty spawn when in a bunker.
    I also use the MSR for small to mid-salvage cargo, weapons and components. Chuck a Furry in the back, place the cargo and extras in the MSR, then take the fury to the nearby station and get my Vulture to finish the job. Once done (if it all fits) I leave the Vulture there and go sell with the MSR.
    All that and the way it moves for the size of the rotund ship, and it holds up for "not having its game loop" (Its purpose in game).
    Yeah, there might be some ships that could do all this better (Taurus for instance) and have more fire power. But i think they will lack there feel the MSR brings.
    P.S. From what I seen throw around Spectrum (and I think some other places) they might be working on a second entrance at the front near the left side of the cockpit.

    More firepower, better shields, rework that mini elevator to actually make sense, move the servers into the scanning room (always found it weird that you enter the ship through servers) and add a docking collar and or a second entrance. It'd be cool if they do it Corsair style with an elevator that goes ground, bridge and roof level. Also, this ship could really use a proper armory with suits locks....for its size there's absolutly no excuse for not having some, especially when even the C1 does...these could go near the docking collar or second exit. Lastly...for such a beatiful ship I could use some windows, mostly in the recreation, living quarters and hall areas.

    • @creeperbarutu

      except the firepower and shields i am agree with you because this is not an fighter ship it is not meant for fighting you will smugling data running but not fighting just running :) and it is ok this ship is amazing and with the little rework it is done such a beautiful ship

    • @gabzsy4924
      @gabzsy4924 3 месяца назад +1

      @@creeperbarutu it wouldn't be a fighter even with more shields and guns, it dosn't have the agility and it's such a huge pancake of a target. Plus, the upgrade would be very minor. The increase in weapons and shields is just to put it on par with its size and to deter smaller threats so it can escape. Afterall, it's a blockaderunner, it's expected to find resistence and escape tough situations so it needs better resistence and better ways to defend itself.

    It's a gorgeous ship. It's got a horribly designed interior and a third of the ship's inside space is a gimmick that'll never be useful as is.
    I adore the ship, it's a daily driver when I'm just flying to fly. But unless it gets a solid gold standard pass it's just not the ship it was pitched. The recent weight reduction has helped a lot in handling. I just want a blockade runner that can carry volatile cargo and data damnit XD
