Not a problem at all! Just remember that the goalie has a "learning" mechanic where he won't fall for the same thing 30 times. You might be able to get away with 29 times, but once you go to 30 its game over man, he will rob you! Haha. What I'm trying to say is, you should switch it up each time to be most successful!
+Brianstormed ahh.. thanks man! I was thinking it was me. My problem is pulling the trigger for some reason after I deke the goalie. Just gotta practice more I guess.
how are you handling if your oppo users the goalie on your break and either goes aggressive or re-positions the goalie then deactivates, they almost always stop the break. It's trifiling!
They should not be able to stop your breakaway move if you don't hesitate. People do that so that you can just take a quick shot or switch things up as if it were a player goalie. The goalie will react usually the same way.
Well 30+ of those videos are already out haha. Just re-doing some videos that were slower or ones that I can contribute more to. What do you mean by competitive controls though? I've played CPU's numerous times on All-Star and Superstar difficulties. I have a video specifically made as a challenge to face a superstar difficulty CPU. I played well but the outcome sucked haha. Other than that, I have played Franchise Mode on both Superstar and Allstar where I have wrecked the CPU pretty badly in all but one or two games.
Idk people always make these breakaway videos/ awesome videos and it goes in/works every time. But as soon as you play online their moves suck cause its actually on a hard control. These work on all star difficultly though. Nice Job
I feel dumb having to ask this but I'm tired of digging through the game menus to try and find the answer... How do I get it to display the stick inputs in the lower right in practice mode like you've got set up here? I'm sure it's an obvious thing that I'm over looking, but it's been driving me nuts. Also thank you for this video. Picked up NHL 17 on sale. Used to play NHL games back on PS2/3 but stopped around the time the skill stick was introduced. Decided to get back into it and really enjoy where the series has gone, but have struggled to adapt to the change and this video has helped in the transition.
The control sticks are shown in the instant replay, so what I did was do a few moves and then press start and went there. Glad the video has helped you out though :)
If you go to my channel and click on the "How to NHL 17" playlist, all the videos there will help you because they focus on different parts of the game. The really good ones are towards the bottom, but some of the basic ones you should still watch up top.
Hey man, can you make an outside skate kick deke tutorial? I did it the other day and lost my shit in amazement lol but I have no clue how I did it and I haven't seen any videos of how to do it online yet.. thatd be awesome and much appreciated. PS (I did it with Phil Kessel base card in HUT if you needed to know minimum player stats)
I just went through the whole vid man.. I didn't see it! If youre not sure what im talking about add me on XBL.. Gamertag: EnemYyyy , and look at my last saved clip
Really? It sounds like you are talking about the puck to the skate deke. I think it is the forehand one where you set it up like between the legs but instead of going between the legs it hits your skate and goes back to your stick. Its tough to do but its set up the same way as the puck to the skate deke. Somebody in the comments of that video brought it up and I responded to it. If you want you can link me, go to xboxclips.com and put in your gamertag, find the video and link it here.
It shouldn't be. The only way it is impossible is if you don't understand what I'm saying (like when I say backhand and forehand) but one of my later videos goes over everything you need to know if you are new to the game (Skater Controls). Just because this is part 1 of my series doesn't really mean that you should start off with this video if you are new to the game :b..its just the order I made the videos.
Its the left right thumb coordination that you are taking for granted. Try to write your name with your left hand as fast as you can and thats how new players feel. I'm so sick and tired of poeple scoring on every breakaway and then not being able to do it myself. I really appreciate your video however. Keep em coming
This is the part where I tell you I'm a lefty :b..Well there isn't much I can do about that,it's all practice from there. I wouldn't expect people to go into a game right after the video. It takes some getting used to. I was the same way when I was learning these dekes from a video in older NHLs. Now it just comes naturally.
You literally have to suck if you can't score on a breakaway in this game. I guess this is a good video for 5 year olds and people who have never played, or seen hockey before, but they play it because they're bored of 2K.
Most people who play this game don't know how to score on a breakaway, if they do, they only know how to score in one situation (like the first move). I want to make sure that my subs know how to score in any situation with a variety of moves.
Thanks man for the awesome and detailed vids with stick movement showing!!!!
*waiting for a huge video of advice for series 2 cards* lol
ITS ALMOST HERE! JUST NEED TO PUT SOME PEANUT BUTTER ON IT!
+Brianstormed great!
Yesterday I scored a hat trick with cam Atkinson with the leg kick move , three times in a row
Yeah that move is OP! Glad it works out for you!
Thanks for this bro! Im gonna spend some time banging out on practice mode trying to perfect a couple of these moves.

toe drag is the most consistant if you have the time to pull it off. even work short side if you do it quickly
It used to be the most consistent short side, but not since the patch. Backhand-Forehand-Backhand is far better there.
DAMN that's why its so hard to score with the toe drag now! i'll give what you advised a shot... hopefully that consistently works
The one the only
I don't play hut anymore but I play eashl and I always miss on breakaways lol thanks for the tips
Great great video series. Looking forward to it. You should prove that your on all star difficulty with competitive controls though

You should do some live gameplay in hut I'd love to see how you dominate
I currently have a HUT highlights series called "HUT Storm" which is new, and a Versus Live Commentary series called "Refuse to Lose."

Hey I'm new to NHL17 and hockey and just subscribed which videos of yours can help me up my game?
If you go to my channel and click on the "How to NHL 17" playlist, all the videos there will help you because they focus on different parts of the game. The really good ones are towards the bottom, but some of the basic ones you should still watch up top.
Great vid
Thanks! :)
Player review on 90 datsyuk?
Not the Datsyuk you are hoping for, I'm afraid. He has some sweet hands but underperforms overall.
JT JOKE4 get the 99 datsyuk!

I believe that is included in my Dekes video. In my How to NHL 17 playlist it is part 23.

Yup that is what it is, forehand puck to the skate. I think its a little harder to do because there is a smaller window of opportunity to do it.
what deke do u recommend at blueline
Between the legs, toe drag, one touch, and windmill are all effective entering the offensive zone.
its seriously f'in impossible to do this if you havenlt played an nhl game before
