Spirit (my mobility/medical alert and response dog) was in training and we were at walmart, she was just learning to pick things up when I dropped them. This woman down the aisle dropped her keys and it was close enough that spirit could get to it with her leash so I'm sitting there in my wheelchair and I just hear "oh my goodness so helpful thank you!" Spirit had picked this woman's keys up and handed them back to her it was so funny the lady was so shocked

My mom and I adopted a retired seeing eye dog. She was awesome but we had to get used to the things she was trained for. The hardest was anytime something hit the floor she would automatically pick it up. At first we would knock heads if it was something close and she had quite a hard head! You also couldn't throw dirty laundry in a corner or she would bring it to you. I remember coming i after a hard rain, taking my shoes off and I flipped my socks over near my shoes because they were horribly muddy. I sat down at the kitchen table and here she comes running in with my muddy socks!

One day I was out walking on the beach with my Service Dog. Now, I usually keep her in a tight heel, but since we were at the beach I decided to not put her in a heel. So she was a little ways away from me. Then, a kid randomly came running up to my SD, and I don’t think she even noticed the kid, but she started walking back towards me. The kid couldn’t slow down so he slipped in the sand and landed face first into the sand. All the while my SD was just looking up at me innocently. It made me laugh so hard my SD alerted to me about to hyperventilate. Just the icing on the cake.

I was laying on the ground with my lab who we just had for a few months. Anyways, I turned my head away from her to do something on my phone for a second. My dog didn’t like that, and she took her paw and physically turned my head back towards her. She was so sassy and did it so quickly, that I didn’t know what to do, so I just laughed it off.

I had a dog and one time he saw a frog in the backyard. I guess he thought he was going to have a snack. He scooped up the frog in his mouth and quickly spit him out. The frog had relieved himself in my dog's mouth. After that, when my dog saw the frog he never went near him again.

I had 2 ponies and needed to get a new companion when one of them passed away. My health wasn’t great, and I thought a mini horse would be easier for me to manage. I wound up finding 2 minis, full sisters. It made sense so they’d have each other if my pony didn’t like them. I divided their paddock with some livestock panels, so they could be to know each other safely. However, the panels were designed for bigger horses and I underestimated how small minis are. They seemed fine on their respective sides of the fence. I went about my day. Then when I went to feed in the afternoon one of the minis was missing. I looked & looked and then I found her....sharing hay with my pony like they’ve known each other forever. I was a bit surprised, since my pony doesn’t take well to new things and hadn’t seen a mini before. Sometimes bigger horses don’t like minis.
So, I let everyone live together. The other mini didn’t get along as well with my pony, but they were safe to be together. I still wasn’t fully aware of just how evil minis can be. There’s a frost free water hydrant in the paddock. My ponies were fine with it, so I thought nothing of it. The next time I went to check them, I was shocked to find a ton of water in the paddock. Sure enough, one of the minis turned the hydrant on....draining our 500 gallon reserve tank completely! Of course they played innocent. So I started padlocking the hydrant. They start spinning it, I think itching themselves on it. Now they live in a different paddock...without any hydrant and with mini appropriate fencing.
Rule 1 of mini horses: their extreme cuteness is only matched by their extreme capacity for evil.

    Loved the video!!
I have a pretty... interesting? Cool? Story about my dog. So my mom and I had just gotten home from running some errands, and we went to open up the garage door. For whatever reason, it had closed and locked itself. That was our only way of getting in, seeing as we didn't have a house key to get in the front door. So, we were kind of terrified about what we were supposed to do. So, I decided to go around to the back of the house to see if our sliding glass door was unlocked. It wasn't. So I tapped on the glass and my dog came over. Then I had an idea. I noticed that when the door was locked, the lock was lifted up, and to unlock it it just needed to be pushed down enough. So, I tapped on the glass and got my dog excited, and out of excitement she jumped up towards the door. Without realizing it or anything, she managed to jump up and push the lock down with her paw, and I could easily get into the house. She had no training for this and it was literally all just luck.
    That's my story :)

So, my roommates and I were waiting for the elevator in our dorm, and all of a sudden, this guy and his bird with a harness on comes around the corner. We were all startled for a minute because we didn't think that our building allowed birds in it, but the guy said that it was an emotional support animal, but if it was outside of his dorm, it had to be contained on a leash. So, we just stood there, waiting for the elevator with this guy and his service bird....

I have a story about the hamster I had when I was younger! (I thought it was funny when my mom told it to me)
So it was thanksgiving break, and I went to visit my grandma with my brother for two days. When I got back, I learned that my hamster had escaped, but she was returned to my cage.
What happened was my aunt heard a strange scratching sound under the oven one day. My mom told her to check my hamster's cage, but she never got around to doing that. My mom was going to the store to get mouse traps, when my aunt was cooking again. She heard the same scratching sound and grabbed a paper towel and crouched next to the oven.
Suddenly, she spotted a little rodent sticking it's head out of the oven, and when she grabbed it, a sweet yellow face with a single red eye and a single black eye looked back up at her.
When she brought my hamster back up to it's cage, she discovered a hole in the metal mesh where she had chewed through it. When my brother and I got back, my mom bought me a new, taller cage.

Good luck with your Midterms! I will share one simple silly story. Harlow reminds me a lot of my dog but she was a brittany retriever mix (same color/markings as Harlow). We called her Pampers - spoild dog -, yes) SHE was mellow for the most part but felt that when we were watching too much Television would run into my parents bedroom, grab a pillow off the bed and then right in front of the tv...ummm...well she would begin to hump it across the carpet until one of us would get up and give the command for "Take it back" and as she'd start down the hall, she'd look over her shoulder to ensure someone was following her to the bedroom or else it would come out again. And to answer the questions in your head:
    1) YES - she is a female dog humping a pillow like a male and
    2) YES - it could happen at any time even when important guests may be milling about. I laugh at how silly she was but miss her evey day. Your channel makes me feel closer to her and only in her looks as she was more about just hanging out and that's about.
Oh, she'd also see you eating something and do the "I'm not looking at you" when you notice he eyes staring and slobber oozing from the lips and they would turn away as if to indicated they've been caught but turn away in a "I saw nothing of what you had" face. DMAN CUTE!

My service dog and I were sitting in the back of my college economics class, a very boring class to me. The instructor was discussing a particular boring subject and my service dog had apparently fallen asleep and started snoring and running in his sleep, he kicked one of the chairs in front of us making even more noise. I was so embarrassed, I just wanted to hide. Lucky for me, I have had this particular instructor before so he found it funny. It was the running joke after that day of whether he had managed to bore my poor service dog to sleep or not in class.
    Happy studying.

I remember we were dog-sitting for a friend once while they were out of the country. He was a HUGE black and white pit bull, insanely strong, insanely heavy, very intimidating when he wasn't smiling. He was overall a terrifying dog, but the absolute biggest sweetheart with children. He took to my mom and dad well, which is why their friend let us dog-sit since the dog, Chacho, didn't really get along with many people.
One day, my brother, our cousin and I were out playing in the yard. Chacho came up to us, tail wagging, smiling, tongue sticking out of his mouth, overall a very happy dog looking to play. So we found a rubber ball somewhere in our backyard and played fetch with him for a while. At some point, my bro's crap aim sends the ball to a shelf we used to have outside that held some of my dad's small machines and nails, bolts, all that mech stuff. The dog runs towards the shelf so fast, he's not able to stop when the ball bounces off the shelf and he ends up skidding on the mat outside straight into the shelf. Now, he's a BIG dog, so that shelf shook like a truck just rammed into it from behind, and I think a wrench fell, I'm not sure, there was sudden clanking and loud noises of metal against metal.
When the dog turned around, he had a dirty rag on his face covering his eyes and hanging off his nose. I think he tried to walk towards us (?) but it looked like he had spun around in circles a few dozen times because instead of walking a straight line he curved around and leaned on both his right limbs before proceeding to topple over and just lie there until I walked over and took the rag off his face, then he got up, smiled, and wagged his tail like he didn't just crash full force against a giant shelf that could've fallen on top of him. My bro and cousin thought it was hilarious though, so they covered his face with the rag again and watched him walk like a drunk man in a dog's body, bumping into everything, but what really hit it home was when my dad walked outside to see what all the noise was about.
My dad is also big, as in he does hard manual labor with his hands and it shows in his swollen arms and ginormous bear hands. So it was the funniest thing ever for a 10, 13, and 14 year old when not even 5 steps out of the house, Chacho had managed to run my dad over while tripping over himself in the process. I'm guessing the dog realized the joke was over when that happened because he actually took the rag off his face himself and stared down at my dad with the biggest "I'm innocent" smile I've ever seen. We just thought it was really funny how he was acting like such a big goof that day. He obviously knew he was capable of taking the rag off himself, but he didn't, and we loved him for that. Also woah, I did NOT mean for that to be so long, I'm sorry XD

My dog is small and she loves to ride in our laps when we drive in the car, specifically the drivers lap, and likes to put her paws up on the steering wheel.. and sometimes she honks the horn, and whenever that happens, she just jumps backwards and takes her paws off the wheel and every time is adorable and comical.

The video that brought me to your channel was the one of Hippo bringing you the bottle of Ranch Dressing instead of a bottle of water. I almost fell out of my wheel chair I laughed so hard. Harlow is a beautiful, dedicated, smart goofball lol. She is so good when she's working and when she's not. I love how she comes and rests her head on your shoulder when she is in the back seat of the car. And I love how hard she plays with Orian and Judd for that matter. You can see her dedication to you and how much she loves you. I think she would protect you to her last breath if she had to. I can't think of any stories right now about the dogs I had growing up. I know there are several lol. And to the lady who wouldn't listen to you when you told her Harlow was working. She got what she deserved lol.

Love this style of vlog, Harlow is such a wonderful, silly girl. And good luck on your test! I'm so proud of you continuing with your education with everything else going on and not letting your health hold you back.
My friend has a gorgeous yellow labrador who is a bit excitable and one day we were walking her along a river in town and she was off lead and being really good. We got near a chip shop and she darts in there, smelling the chips (fries) and my friend's mum had to go in there and grab her. She also jumps into any car boots that are open, even if she doesn't know the owner of the car. She's a liability sometimes but she makes me laugh and she always wants cuddles.

When Chiyo was about 3 months old, we started taking him to Disney World. He was already great at tolerating very busy & distracting environments, and just wanted to do some training since its a great opportunity to work with loud noises and tons of people. Well, he was still a baby, and thought ALL outside areas were fair game when he had to go. Right in the middle of mainstreet USA- just decided he would poop right there. With EVERYONE watching. No one was mad or anything since it was outside! But I sure was mortified! Of course now that he’s a fully fledged adult service dog, he would never do that again!! But always a funny puppy story to tell about Chiyo’s days as a SDIT! 🤣

My service dog isn't scared of a ton of things, but he is TERRIFIED of one thing... Windshield wipers. One time I accidentally turned on the back window wipers, and he was in the backseat. He booked it to the front passenger seat floorboard. He proceeded to peek over the seat to see if the wipers were still going. 30 minute drive home and he never moved from his spot xD what's even more hilarious is that he is no way afraid of the front wipers.

I have a corgi/sheltie mix. He has the shape of a corgi, but fur like a sheltie. Anyway, he doesn't realize he has these little short corgi legs. The day we adopted him, we left him alone for two minutes, went looking for him, and found him on the kitchen table! He also loves our porch swing in the backyard. He'll take a flying leap up onto it and sit there grinning while it swings.

I have a couple funny stories myself. First one was when my dog was a puppy, it just rained and she hasn’t been outside to play for a few days. She ran around like a maniac for the first few minutes, slipping and she jumped nearly falling on her face. Then she slowed down and stopped. She sniffed around, dug around and saw a worm. She FREAKED and jumped a foot in the air then dashed off. She literally doesn’t dig anymore. It was so weird and funny! Another one was recently when she got in this “argument” with a sprinkler. She literally for like 20 minutes just stood there snapping and growling at this sprinkler! And even after I had her walk away, she stood at the window and barked at it until it stopped. It was very strange. Best of luck again!!

I volunteer at an organization that trains service dogs. One very important part of what we do is keep the dogs from developing fears. I would always be careful when hosing down the outside kennels so the pups wouldn’t be scared of the water. It worked a little too well an I ended up having 8 Great Dane puppies going after the hose every morning because they loved the water so much 😂

    Hi Jaquie!
I loved your stories, especially when Harlow burped into the others' mouth! Goldens are the best!
As for my funny story, I have a golden retriever as my service dog. I was wanting to give her a fun nickname and was feeling very stumped on it but however, the breeder was so kind enough to send us videos weekly of watching our selected puppies grow! It was the cutest thing to watch ever! When they were around 5 or 6 weeks old, active enough to be running around and such, I showed them to my friends and one of them said, "Oh my gosh, look at them! Look at all the chicken nuggets running around!" That moment, I knew that's going to be her fun nickname. I always called her chicken nugget when she was small but as she grew, hitting the age of 1, I would always joke with her or when she does a task for me, I would say, "Oh my goodness chicken nugget! You're becoming a chicken tender!"

We had a small poodle named Tasja. I remember when my dad thought he could groom(?) her. My mom and I were out at the time. When we came back and saw how badly Tasja looked, my dad made up the story of our poor doggy having passed under a car exhaust. You'll be glad to hear, she did recover from the experience. :)

I took my emotional support animal to college with me, and while I was studying in my dorm, she caught my eye. To my surprise (because she has never ever done this) she was chasing her tail at the end of my bed!! This big fluff ball just chasing her tail, so cute.

My dog used to bring me random stuff from around the house (she was not a service dog she just enjoyed bringing people things) when we first got our kitten she would always pick up our cat by the scruff and bring him to us. It was so cute!

Not a service dog, but, my grandma's dachshund LOVES to run away every chance he gets. Once he found a hole in the fence in the back yard. We caught him and fixed the hole. The next time he went outside he went back to thst spot and was very upset with us because we had closed it. He started crying and barking and looking at us like "why did you do this? Open it up again!" 😂😂😂

Funny stories I loved them! Harlow is a sweetheart. My embarrassing funny story is: My dog Beau is my 80 lb Standard Poodle service dog. While checking out at Walmart ( tight squeeze in register isle) he gave the clerk a goose, sticking his nose right in the man's butt who was standing working at next register!! Yikes! I was so embarrassed! But I suppose Beau just could not resist. His Dog brain takes over sometimes. LOL

Jaquie, you are so right stating that you shouldn't get in front of ANY pet dog, cat or horse that you do not know. Even if it is a service animal. Dogs are like humans, we don't get along with every other human in this planet. Neither do dogs or horses. They sometimes just DONT get along with another dog. They just dont like that animal, and it is right from the start. Some animals love ALL other humans, but they dont like this one human. I know, my one dog loved EVERYONE in my house, ANY of our friends, but hated my dad. He bit my father in the face THREE times to prove he DISPISED him and the first bite happened within 30 hours of us bringing him into our home, and the dog was so friendly with me and my mom. My dad learned his role, and this dog and him lived in somewhat of peace, but never fully.

I remember another Golden Retriever story that happened over 40 years ago. (Yeah, I'm old!) I was teaching Sign Language at the time at a Catholic Deaf Center. There were also some Deaf students staying there during their school break. After I finished teaching for the evening, I was in the Center's kitchen with some of the Deaf students getting a snack when the Center's mascot, a Golden Retriever named C.D., came in. The Deaf students stood around the dog, in a circle, and each student took a turn signing "speak". It was all I could do to keep a straight face as C.D. silently moved his mouth, convincing the Deaf student he "spoke" and got a treat! This silliness was repeated with each student until C.D. sat in front of me expecting me to sign to him. I signed, without voice, "speak" and C.D. moved his mouth silently. I started laughing and simultaneously voiced and signed "faker"! Ever see a dog laugh with body language? That dog gave a dog's body laugh, eyes dancing, tail wagging, and actually barking!!! Funny dog!!!

Ahhh I love hearing stories like this!! My dog is not a service dog but a certainly have tones of good stories. Here's one: i was walking downtown near my house. It was right after a rainstorm and it was still a little rainy so we were both in our raincoats. My dog, Xena, is a great Dane so her in a rain coat is already a bit of a spectical. So we were walking downtown after this storm and a few of the little skinny trees lining the sidewalk had fallen over. We came to one that habdent fallen over but the support beams of both sides of it were broken. Xena did the thin were at the very last moment she decided to walk of the opposite side of the tree from me. As I was like "Xena you dummy" her leash hit the tree and the tree just fell over. There was was a son and dad there and they started laughing hysterically. Xena got spooked cause the tree kinda fell onto her and then the tree feel into a car. Luckily the tree was very small so it didn't do any damage but I was just like "ahhh what do" so I tried to pick up the tree. Oviously it wasn't going to stand up so I kinda just have up and walked away.

Another time we were on a plane with my friends Doberman service dog. Dobermans are extremely gassy. What we were on a small plane headed to New York. He was so gassy that I put my sweatshirt over his butt and tried to contain it. We still had to periodically spray some non-toxic and hypo allergenic spray like lemon because he smelled so bad. We got off our plane and I went to grab my jacket and my jacket just reeked of his butt. 🤢

My dog is an 11 year old German Shepard and I think my favorite story of hers is one time when she was younger and was running around the house playing she slammed head first into a wall got all dazed and there was laundry basket with folded clothes in it near where she knocked herself a good one and she turned around and stuck her head into the basket, just her head, as she was standing, with her whole head submerged in laundry. I was dying laughing.

When I got my kitten she was really gassy. Smelliest cat I've ever had. I was taking her to the vet and put her, in her carrier, on the counter and I warned the person behind the desk that she was gassy. And as we were talking to get everything settled, the woman was like "Oh yeah, she is definitely gassy!" I thought it was pretty funny but it was probably another one of those 'you needed to be there' situations.
Good luck on your test! I have a midterm as well. Joyous times.

My mom had this wonderful dog named Spike. He was a Shar Pei/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He loved cats. My mom actually got him his own cat. Her name was Judy. Judy was insane sometimes. There were times when she would NOT leave Spike alone. Thats when he would either take his paw and hold her down or even better sat on her. All you would see was a tail and feet; slowly you could see Judy calm down. Thats when Spike would let her up and kiss her.

I’m a puppy raiser for the Guide Dog Foundation and we train our dogs to “busy” on hard surfaces (like concrete/black top/parking lots) rather than in grass. Apparently Walmart’s floor looks a lot like those hard surfaces and I swear she ALWAYS pooped inside. It was her favorite place as a puppy 🙄 it’s a running joke now!

When I was like 10 years old, we had a cat named Charlie. So we all sat down for dinner like usual, and half way through, I noticed Charlie was watching the birds through the back door window. A few minutes later I see him do his little butt wiggle before he tried to jump out the window. He smashed into the door and fell on the floor. We all died laughing😂😂😂

If you knew my cat you would think this is hilarious. She goes nuts everytime I open a can of tuna or evem just placing the can on the counter. Well the other day I opened the can and waited for her to come in the kitchen. She never showed up so I start walking down the hall fanning the smell of the tuna out of the can so she can smell it. Still nothing. I go into my bedroom and she is passed out on my bed. She still didn't wake up so I put the can right under her nose and she jumped like 2 feet in the air out of her deep sleep and made the cutest excited "meeeeew" sound. She cracks me up and always cheers me up.

I have a really bad back and my doctor wanted me to go to this support group and there was a service dog, and knew not to pet him. He would put his head on my lap and I still didn't pet him, but his owner allowed me to. Several years ago I used to work at a retirement home and they would have Therapy Dogs come in and visit the residents. One was a beautiful Collie that was blind and deaf...her name was Helen. As funny as that is, it's also amazing because she followed commands by different types of touches. She didn't come around much but there were two other dogs that I loved! One was a Corgi, because I had one as well, and the other was this huge England Mastiff...his name was Bear. They would come every other Wednesday evening and as soon as Bear saw me, he just had to come behind my desk to visit. The little corgi had a step stool so the residents in wheelchairs could pet her. My mom works at a church and it's no secret she loves dogs so three or four people bring their dogs and they run straight to my mom because they know they'll get bones. We've gotten close to some of the dogs in our neighborhood, and there's two dogs that will stop at our driveway and waits for us to come outside. My mom takes some chalk and writes the names of the dogs and leaves bones. Instead of crazy cat lady, she's a crazy dog lady. It's also funnier in person.

(Not a service dog story but anyways...) I have a very shy cat who hides in very odd places. One time I had some rather loud guests come over. I went in my room to get something and realized that my closet door was open. I always close and latch it so my cat can’t get into my clothes and get her fur all over them. I thought someone was in my house. I grabbed the thing closest to me (a pen) and quickly opened the door to frighten the intruder. There was no intruder. Only my cat. She had unlatched the door, climbed into one of the plastic drawers that I keep my shirts in, and fallen asleep. My shirts were covered in cat hair. Apparently she had been sleeping there for a long time. She must have known to close the door behind her after she left the closet. Now I have a cat who opens doors. It’s really creepy when you are using the bathroom or taking a shower because the door will slowly creek open. It scares me every time. My friend calls her the frightening fluffball. (My cat is REALLY fluffy) what will I do with this crazy cat?

When my pug was alive and younger, when we let her in my back yard to go to the bathroom, she absolutely would not go unless you turned around. She was kinda lazy like most pugs are, but if you gave her a bath, she'd run around the house jumping on an off and over the couches like she was in some sort of track team for like 10 minutes 😂
