    Hey jaquie. It sucks your POTS has been getting worse. I will soon be tested for POTS and my mom and i are convinced i have POTS i'm pretty scared and relieved at the same time. I'm scared of it getting worse. But i'm relieved to finally get something. Something that proves i'm not crazy and overreacting. We'll see. I want to thank you cause without you i would never ever have known about POTS and never come this close to an actuall diagnose. I love you and i hope your POTS will get a little better soon!!💖💖💖

    • @RebeccaBeckery
      @RebeccaBeckery 6 лет назад +2

      AutismAlex I hope you get answers soon! It feels like a weight off your shoulders when you finally have an answer! POTS seems so difficult to live with, but even though I don't know you, I know if you did have it, you'll rock it! 💙 One thing I'm going to tell you, do not let anyone tell you who knows absolutely nothing about medical stuff, tell you that you don't have something you were diagnosed with by a professional. It's crappy that people do that, I'm hoping you never have to go through that but I promise you that you'll feel so much better knowing that they know nothing about what you've been diagnosed with unless they have it. Even if they did have it, everyone is different and different things affect other differently (I don't think I have said differently enough 😂) I wish you the best!!

    Not sure if you noticed but both times harlow had trouble with pressing the button in this video and the other video you used the "touch" command, when she did it you used "hit it" command. Maybe this is why she is struggling sometimes with the buttons for you

    Thank you for discussing and showing a bit of the POTS reaction bc I've always thought I have it, now I am SURE. I literally can go from being just fine to passing out where I stand (or sit), last time it happened while I was on my laptop and that was a disaster. Now I am going to get my doctor to actually LISTEN to me. Having a wonderful service dog like Harlow is a life saver. I hope you feel better soon!!

    Thank you. I feel so much better when I hear you say what you are thankful for, instead of being negative. It reminds me to be thankful. I wish your videos were around 20 years ago when I was injured. Instead of seeing my wheelchair as a tool to help me live a better life I saw it as an enemy. Though, it helps when you have positive people around you and who like be you enough to cheer you on. I had people who really didn’t understand spinal injuries and all they did was pressure me to “walk again”. I’m much older than you but I appreciate your message and your family. And as a closing note I appreciate Judd and his Sevice in the Army (is he in the Reserves or Guard), and his daily job of being a police officer.
    Thanks for sharing and touching strangers lives. You are a lovely young woman.

    I'm SOOOOOOO GLAD to see that I'm not the only one who has to order from the kids menu at restaurants because of medical issues and even THEN, will still have a "doggie bag" to take home‼️

    • @kathrynarchuleta1776
      @kathrynarchuleta1776 6 лет назад

      Sometimes people look at me cross eyed when I ask for a kids menu but my problems are due to the anti-seizure drugs I have to take which unfortunately REALLY SCREW up my appetite. Then add the fact that unlike you, I am one of those chronic pain warriors who (at least for the time being) has absolutely ZERO CHOICE but to be on heavy narcotic doses which as you have found out all too well, mess with your motility!! But I am caught btw a rock and a very very hard place because I am extremely allergic to the non-opioid alternative medicine for my condition 😭😭😭‼️ I'm just hoping for some new breakthroughs.... AND FAST!!!!

      The symptoms of her illness make a lot of sense. I have actually mentioned it in a previous video that her severe immune issues explain most if not all of her issues. The severe immune issues cause nearly everything that has been diagnosed because Mitochondrial Disease has known symptoms including seizures, autism, migraines, dysautonomia, fainting, intestinal issues, cramping, muscle weakness, unexplained vomitings, IBS, other intestinal issues, issues gaining weight, fatigue, POTS, and on and on.
      Literally, every single thing is explainable and symptomatic of her genetic issues. You might have a lot of her conditions but unless you have Mitochondrial Disease as bad as she does your experience will never compare with hers. She is allergic to things very quickly so she can't do a lot of the treatments that you apparently think she should be doing because they will give her an allergic reaction.
      And yes this is coming from someone with similar Invisible Illnesses that ALSO has allergic reactions to god knows what. I break out into hives for whatever reason I do for whatever ingredient my body doesn't like and I have forever.

    • @anaisyasmin9861
      @anaisyasmin9861 6 лет назад +17

      ItsMikki_Theflower (Im not Jaquie lol but here's a few tips).
      Take a step back. Another dog is a very big distraction. I assume she's doing the task very well at home, so the next step is generalising it a bit more. Go out, but into an area with little to no distraction and train there. If your dog does well there you can slowly increase her training around more and more distractions, just take little steps. If you notice she's struggling when you introduce her to a new distraction level take a step back again and reaffirm the tasks in an environment with less distractions. Good luck with your pupper!

      Hi Jaquie, I get upset seeing you so tired, but so admire as we ol’ folks say in NH, I so admire your Moxie! You are such an amazing example for those of us that have chronic conditions. Thank you. Joann D.

    I started looking at your vlogs when Harlow retrieved the Ranch Dressing. I know how grateful you are to have Harlow. I think she might have got that name before I started looking at your site. If you have time for those that are new to the site can you tell us how she got that nickname. My chiropractor has a service dog named Leyna that always is in the office. She seems to know when you are in extra pain and gives you extra attention. She looks exactly like Harlow. Everyone is going to want a Golden Retriever now. I am glad she has good dog friends. I don't think all service dogs have the same opportunity to exercise and play because of their person's disabilities. Harlow has the both of both worlds.

    I have a question about your gastroparesis. A few days ago they showed a tiny report about a girl whose stomach is paralyzed after having a bypass. They never named the illness but from what she described it pretty much sounded like what you always describe but in a lighter version (she is still able to eat but never knows if she can keep it down or not). Her medical team will implant her a gastric stimulator/stomach pacemaker (those are the two translations I found, not sure if any of them is accurate) to help her. Now I wondered, was that ever an option for you? If it was considered, what ultimately prevented it? Sorry if you have already talked about this specifically. I must have overseen it then.

      Gastric pacemakers have a very low success rate sadly.

      It's not usually used for people with EDS as usually our entire gi tract has dysmotility problems. So if the intestine has motility as slow as the stomach then the pacer won't do anything as it only acts on the stomach.
      And it's not usually effective at doing anything other than temporarily reducing nausea. That usually stops within a year and it becomes totally non functional.
      Due to it's extremely poor success rating the nhs here in the UK refuses to fund any gastric pacemaker surgery and upkeep appointments etc. If we want to get it we need to go privately.

    OK Judd as my Mom used to say," more hurry less speed". So let Jaquie take her time to do up her bracelet, it will take less time in the long run. I didn't like that elevator. It was quite scary and shaky. Hope you're feeling better hun.
