Muc-Off is cycling’s care and maintenance household name.
The brand was founded in 1994 when Rex and Marylin Trimnell, owner of bike components brand X-Lite at the time, needed a cleaner they could rely on to keep their bikes not only clean, but free from corrosion.
After designing and manufacturing the world’s first twin crown bicycle fork, Rex created a perfectly pink spray to clean his kit. To make a long story short, Rex’s cleaner was the best thing since sliced bread, and it wasn’t long before word got out and Muc-Off was born.
25 years later and Muc-Off has developed its product range to include every bike cleaning solution imaginable, but also a range of tour-winning lubes, bike protectant sprays and a whole lot more.
With some of the best athletes in the world crash-testing the products and providing valuable feedback to Muc-Off’s team of expert product developers, you can rest assured that your bike is in good hands.

It's 1AM and I'm thinking what will stop the flap-stopping sticker from flapping around.
Use an offcut of rim tape to seal the flap stopping sticker down 🤔
@@CurtisLodge1991 what will stop flap stopping off cut from flapping round 🤣
You need the upgrade kit which has anti flap, rim tape sticker kit, with anti sticker flappy tape, with free slappy anti stick tape, for your rim!
Or staples!!!
The type of “how-to” video created by people who have done this hundreds of times and don’t know how to show newbies. Hint-newbies don’t want quick and concise, we want details.
The question is the valves came with extra rubber thingies but you didn't explain which to use they're all different shape
You made that look so easy dude! I'd probably be tangled in the tape and covered in sealant 😫😫🤘🤘
Me all over that prob take me 4 kits get it right 🤣
Brilliant - just put a Nobby Nic on a ptrx-c1 and it's held pressure overnight with no sealant! 💦
Didn't fully seat straight away but must have pinged in on its own.
Top vid! 👌🏻
Just brought mine before it ran out of stock and am waiting for it to arrive
Dude, your t-shirt is savage.
that 12 ring cassette a thing of beauty
i have 1x12 XT on my chameleon i absolutely love it lol
Nice video 👍🏻 boy, love your work #oyoy 🤣🤟🏻
in there with the Muc-off gloves
Where do you get a muc off schrader valve kit? Unless they only do presta. I see stans has some.
My rims iw is 20mm. Should i go 4 the 21mm rim tape?
When are u getting more of tubeless trail kit
hi bro when you put the tape, did you put it double twice around the rim or once only ? please make me clear about this... thanks anyway
so you converted tubeless setup to tubeless setup, well done!
What
Will stop the sticker from flapping around though?
If my inner width is 21mm I should get the 21 tape?
How tight do you put the core in?
I installed the valves without the extra rubber adapters delivered, is that mandatory? Well, it keep it´s air...
I got bigger problem, i got broken tire. And i dunno is this gonna help my flat tire problem? Or do i have to change another?
My Trek checkpoint ALR5 came with tubeless ready wheels and G2 tubeless ready tires...why did the dealer say I needed to buy new tires and pay 100.00 fee to go tubeless when I bought the bike if tires are tubeless ready?
starting from the opposite side of the valve seat how many turns do I have to do around the rim before returning to the starting point and fixing the tape with the adhesive?
Cheers
Yea this is pretty unclear tbh. I ran it 1 full way around and then 1/2 way so it stops straight across from the valve. Looking at other videos now that seems unnecessary... Also, please show people you need to really push it down in the center of the rim. The oring for the valve on the outside of the rim is another poing that causes confusion for someone doing it for the first time, but after some googling you dan find how it goes. Would be nice to see that in there too :)
I watched this video betting they'ed do it... I wasn't let down.
STRETCH THE TAPE ON! I hate seeing air bubbles under the tape, it's just lazy and can cause leaks. However starting before and finishing after **Thumbs up** the valve then helps keep the tape from pinging back.
How much of this liquid do I put in a gravel bike tyre. 700x38. Cheers
I’m having trouble popping the beads of the tyre even with a track pump, what compressor attachment is that as I cannot find one with a Presta valve attachment with a good seal.
Remove the valve core in order to pop the bead for the first time if you have trouble
@@slwbys Hi Thank for the reply,, I used my lbs to finish off the job, ran out of steam with that track pump😁
Hi .. my tyres are 650 b x 47 .. how much sealant should I put in for tubeless .. cheers Chris

@@turbod15 cheers buddy..
Are the valves in this kit suitable for schrader valve bores?
Difference in diameter is big, I would get appropriate valves for the valve hole
What???? You use the sticker for that?? Mind blown for real!
i have a 26" rim with 32mm width
and a 2.8 size tire
what kit do i need???
Dh plus
DO I have to change the tape on the rims every time I change the tires or is it enough to put new sealant inside?
Hey! You do not need to change the tape every time you change sealant. Once you've got Rim Tape in place on your rim, that's it!
@@mucoffltd ThX
That easy.
Oioiiiiiii 🤘
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Tried the sealant and tape about four times and it just wouldn’t work.Switched to gorilla tape and a different sealant which worked first time.I was disappointed but I love all the other Muc Off products.
Opposite used other products, but muc off holds best.
Do I need an air compressor to do this or can a normal hand pump do the job?
Floor pump can do the job, compressors make things a whole lot easier though
Very Nice kit product.
Do you offer me ?
How much sealant for 27.5 × 2.6 tyres?
There are measurement suggestions on the packaging to help you fill your tyres with appropriate amount. For 27.5 x 2.60, we'd recommend 80ml-105ml per tyre.
Does this kit also offer the valve core remover cap?
Ye
Yes it does!
With this system, is it possible to inflate with a conventional floor pump?
Yup, but you'd have to pump fast. Just did it
If I’ve got a tubeless ready rum and tubeless tyre do I need tape
What do you think
Technically, your Tubeless Ready Rim should already be taped up but the tape installed tends to be low quality, so it's up to you whether you'd like to install top end tape or not! 🤘
how about showing where and how to put the rubber thingies on the valve ? and which rubber for which type of bike ?
The most important thing with the "rubber thingies" is that they fit snug enough into your rim. Rims vary, so trial and error before sealant goes in is a must. There are 3x rubber thingies to choose from so we have you covered :)
@@mucoffltd😁"rubber thingies" is the professional term. joke aside. yes; you got me covered and the already installed on the valve did their job just fine. thanksy. luckily the muc-off milk is prepared for germany (sometimes it seems our streets are made of destroyed glas bottles)
Ok looking to do this so how often does it go flat i assume its not perfect ? or is it i ride mostly street 20 m a day and sick of flats lol
Every bike is different, for the most part, any small punctures (up to 6mm) will be filled with sealant. On road tires, given that glass shards are more prevalent, they can happen but not extremely common. You're more likely to experience a blowout then flat. Same with Mountain Bikes, sealant usually can last anywhere from a year to 2 years, maybe more, but for the most part, small punctures get filled.
@@andrewsantosgomez5607 thanks im going to give it a try 👍
@@timmytfpv7316 Yeah, absolutely. And if you like having tunes, there is actually tube sealant. I use that on my girlfriend's bike cause it's more convenient and she doesn't ride as much.
I dont get it my valve leak every time :(
How do you make that look so simple?!
So are tubeless better than tube for mountain and road bikes?
Am currently using tube on my road bike, have been for my whole life but would like to try tubeless at some point.
It's personal preference! The main perk of going tubeless is you won't need to worry about punctures mid ride!
Tubeless is the way to go for XC, because it’s way too easy to puncture your wheel. For other disciplines it’s debatable.
Why did you take the old one... 43 segunds..?
Why do you need to cut the tape at a 45 degree angle?
Hi Lee, as this is not a flat surface, cutting at an angles allows a better sealing when applying. Thanks//Muc-Off
You didn’t show the removal of the valve cover 😢
Didn't show to remove core
How much sealent for enduro wild 27.5 2.6
There are measurement suggestions on the packaging to help you fill your tyres with appropriate amount. For 27.5 x 2.60, we'd recommend 80ml-105ml per tyre.
You never mentioned or used the valve sealer or even explained the most likely part to leak would of been helpful
Anyone commenting on spraying the glue remover right onto the cassette???
bit of drivetrain cleaner will shift that. gentle rinse after and bobs your uncle :)
The sealant won’t go in
Literally the only thing not self explanatory is which seal out of the 3 that the valve comes with you should use and it isn't shown in the video 🤦🏼♂️
So, you're cute converting a tubeless tire to tubeless? ? 🤔
Can you make video in French
Turn on subtitles for french 🇫🇷 Oravwar
Holy moly spent enough. I never do all that and I bet I ride more forest that you but I use Stans.
I wouldn't really call this a conversion, since you're starting with an already tubeless wheel...
Doesn’t really change anything lol
don't see many points in doing it ... but content is nice
Not very helpful video. Really lacks a lot of details. I Tried this tape for $30. It doesn’t stick very well to my rim even after cleaning the rim, it doesn’t really take the shape of the contour of the bottom of the rim but mostly because it doesn’t stick well. And it doesn’t stick very well to itself at the over lap either. Seems like well marketed over priced garbage so far but maybe I’m a one off. Going back to $8 gorilla tape that worked for two years
Step 1: Take wheel off
Step 2: Remove air
Step 3: Ruin tubeless bead
Step 4: Google new tyres...
Absolutely useless video for someone doing this for the first time
we have many videos to follow. Check out our TikTok channel too. There's some very helpful parts on there ;)
Scam, doesn’t work.
