I keep losing my cool. I'm not explosive but I always give off a bad vibe when I'm in a bad mood and it affects the people I'm with.

I don’t know what to do. I’ve been voluntarily in therapy for over ten years. I’m 30 years old with three kids and no level of therapy or book reading seems to give me enough tools to not explode. I’ve had plenty of trauma in my life that I think I’ve worked through a lot. I know I was dropped on my head when I was like 4 or 5. I’m living in a shelter and way to poor to afford your clinics but I’m praying that before my kids are too much older, I’ll be able to afford your clinic with the scans. God bless you and the work you do!

Dr. Amen, this is so helpful, I can’t tell you how thankful I am for you and all you share with us who wish we could come see you. Your topics are real life! real people! Will you consider doing a live chat on OCD please? There are degrees I know, mild to severe, but for the people who are coping with it in a milder one, yet still very significant to their daily life and relationships? Thank you.

Thank you Dr Amen for all the work you put in to your patients! Your work is miraculous. I’m trying to save enough to come get a scan and I will be there one day!! My whole life I’ve struggled in unexplainable ways that conflict with my intelligence and potential and I believe there is still hope! God bless you and Mrs Amen ❤️

True. But it's not a standard credit card. It's a medical card. Also, you can have only one scan view, for half the price of two scan views. They will also give you 10 percent off.

I’ve been dealing with this exact issue. Have had TBI’s from military service, and have dealt with some bad things in life where I’ve had a bad temper for the longest time. It’s been tough to try to control this and I often am hurtful to my family or friends.

Thank you Dr Amen! Can you talk about automatic repression of anger and alexythymia? I'd love your recommendation on how to get anger out (somatically?) - I just get numb and work through stuff "logically" then shut down physically after it's over. I think it's a traumatic response.

I am very grateful for this video. I felt as though you had peeked into my brain. I can’t believe I couldn’t see this myself when I diagnose people day in and day out with exactly what I was experiencing.

This feels like me. I’m almost always deeply irritable. Other words that come to mind are overwhelm, annoyed, angst, procrastination, defeated, frustration. It’s like I’m running against a strong wind. Im also easily hangry. I’ve tried SSRIs, bringing my low T up, ketamine microdosing. Nothing works long term. Im currently waiting on the results of an at home sleep study. I told my wife recently, “just existing is difficult for me”. I do have some shame/guilt over a few past happenings, parents never married and mom was an alcoholic dud, but I feel it’s gotta be more than that. I do have one memorable head injury, but at the time I didn’t lose consciousness and the hospital said I didn’t have a concussion.

My boyfriend of 14 years was beat up by 5 random guys last year.
He has traumatic brain injury. Headaches, gets exhausted easily, he definitely has angry dragons. Walks with a cane, has brain seziures. He was very calm & sweet before his TBI. We've been practicing calmness but he gets triggered doing basic tasks. I was taking care if him the first 4 mths & he had no anger issues. When I dislocated my shoulder & fractured it his mom took over 7 mths & he experienced 7 mths of manipulation mentally, abuse physically & financially. She wiped out his $70,000 retirement & $25,000 joint bank account. She took everything of value out of our home & storage & became in control of his disabiliy checks. She cut him off from me, all his friends & family. It was like he was in a cult, brainwashed to believe all sorts of mind manipulating & everything was a conspiracy. I finally got ahold of him & we are living back together & trying to deprogram him from negativity. I'm getting him back on track with his speech, physical therapy, PTSD therapy & I signed him up for San Diego Brain Injury Foundation peer support groups monitored by a social worker.

One day I fell off a railing and landed on my head and was nauseous and very sick the whole day. I wasn’t myself and couldn’t remember what I did when I hit my head. My mom was pretty worried but it cleared up by the end of the day. I am so irritable and it’s something I don’t know I’m doing until after the fact. It’s like this uncontrollable feeling that I hate

Is there a Vitamin Supplement that’s going to help . B12 Methocobalamin.
Family member she has CRPS and now Trigeminal Neuralgia. This happened at 60 .
They are not vaccinated, but definitely irritability. She had CT scan and it’s normal aging, narrowing blood vessels.
I’ve heard Krill oil is better than salmon oil .
I’ve heard cod liver oil ,some is ok ,hemp is better . She does not eat sardines, mackerel etc. She does like salmon, but I don’t know if it’s save to give her . What’s the best Vit E be she’s unable to chew without her teeth.
I have heard that bad bacteria in the mouth is a contributing factor re/ Alzheimer’s ,Dementia, etc .
If we can’t eat walnuts, should we buy fresh and purée them or get a specific supplement.
