Pokemon Theory - The Broken Exeggcute

- This is a theory about the broken Exeggcute, and its connection to Exeggutor and Alola Exeggutor.
Pokemon is the property of Nintendo, Creature, Inc., and Gamefreak. I claim no ownership, and all right and credits due to the respective owners of the images and other media used in this video.
May I suggest that Exeggcute, are actually related more to seeds then eggs? And just like germinating seeds, they eventually crack open and sprout. They protect the broken seed, because it becomes the body they need to evolve. Repeating the cycle until they all germinate into a body.

Top 10 questions that can't be explained
There's one problem I think. The Alolan exeguttor is supposed to be the "normal" form of exeguttor, since it appears exeguttor is originally from Alola. The exeguttor from other regions is some sort of stunted exeguttor, because of the lack of sunlight. They compensate this stunting by maintaining the psychic powers from exeggcute. So I don't think the regular exeggutor is "natural" form of exeggutor at all.
alolan exeggutor is the true form and the one we've known from gene 1 is stunted from lack of sunlight and the cooler temperature.the reason I say this is cause in several pokedexes it's stated that exeggutor came from a tropical region and that it grows tall in strong sunlight.it also has been stated the more sunlight the more heads it has.
when alola came around was the only time we heard of exeggutor being native to a region.
there was also box art back in jungle where it showed what a exeggutor looks like when it's in it's native range.

I always figured the broken Eggacute was that way because of to much Psychic energy and used it as a vent. Kind of like how Ichigo cant control his spiritual pressure. And when Linked up to the rest of the group, the broken Eggacute acted as a vent for the others as well. So when it evolved the main head was always the broken one.

It's more likely that the additional sunlight caused an "overgrowth". The sun affected other Pokemon to give them different forms too, but that doesn't make the Alolan Pokemon the "true form" of them. It just so happens that in Exeggutor's case, the Alolan region is the "ideal" environment for Exeggutor. The only reason the Alolan people think the Alolan Exeggutor is the "real" Exeggutor is because it's the one they know and are used to (they also thought the Ice type Vulpix was normal and the Fire type was strange). Alola Exeggutor is only found in the Alolan region, but the normal one is found throughout the rest of the world, so clearly the Alolan Exeggutor is the unnatural due to the "unnaturally" strong sunlight and environment.
id love to see more pokemon variants in this style but with more changes so they dont look like a retextured version similar to the eeveelutions
Exeggept that Ruby Sapphire (including the remakes) and Emerald all state Exeggutor originally came from the Tropics. Alola is most likely the birthplace of Exeggcute and Exeggutor until another game set in a different Tropical Area comes forward.
id love to see tropical pokemon especialy with all the flower/grass pokemon in the game and the water type pokemon variants too

No, the Allans just believe it's its true form because that's the one they're used to (they also thought the Ice type Vulpix was normal and the Fire type was strange). True, the sun's intensity and the climate make it the "ideal" environment for Exeggutor, but that doesn't really mean anything. The fact of the matter is that the Alolan Eceggutor is ONLY found in the Alola tegion while the rest if the world has the normal ones. This clearly means that the Alolan Exeggutor is the unusual one. The environment causes Pokemon to take on different forms, it just so happens that in Exeggutor's case, this type of environment is the most appealing.
perhaps, they can only grow to full size in there natural habitat, and in any other not as tropical environment, there growth gets stunted
Viewer Online101 Exeguttor is stated to come from the tropics several times on the pokedex, and just like real life palm trees, the ones found on other enviroments (like deserts) evolved to be way shorter because there's not enough resources for them to grow full size. So not-alolan Exeguttor is then, most likely, a way to adapt to a different enviroment that just doesn't provide it enough resources to grow full size or develop dragon traits.
i saw a theory about how Alolan is the true form of Exeggcutor and it said that all Exeggcutors MIGHT be originating from Alola, kinda like how pandas come from China.

Except for the large amount of evidence that Alolan Exeggcutor is the original and Kantonian Exeggcutor is the mutation, this theory makes a lot of sense.
actually I think Alolan Exeggutor is the original one as there had been Pokedexes mentioning Alolan Exeggutor and when they were brought to other Regions they turned into normal Exeggutor given the lack of Alolan sun

Eventually, I have 6 more theories for Digimon and 3 lists, including top 5 strongest DigiDestined and top 5 strongest Armor Digivolutions. When I do them depends on when I manage to find time. If the head that's "too large" falls off and becomes an execute, it would be fated to spend its life going from Executor evolution to Executor evolution, always being too large. It would make sense for other Executes to team up with weaker, larger Executes to increase their chances of being one of the last remaining 3 at full development. Although, it's really pretty cruel to think about it that way.
this was cool. but there is stronger evidence saying Alolan Exeggcutor is the "natural" evolution, not the Kanto form. There's videos on it in fact, and regular ingame data about that so that part is virtually false.

Well, you can easily explain this. Exeggcutor is based on the coconut. Look at wild coconut trees and domesticated coconut trees. There is your answer.

actually, the alolan form is said to be the original and that the kanto one had to change to survive in a region that it wasn't meant to be in. It was brought over to breed because exacutor was endangered.
That actually makes a lot of sense considering Alola is based off of Hawaii which is known for its Palmtrees
my theory is that while walking around in tall grass searching for execute you accidentally step on a few, boom, broken.
the natural executor is the alolan. but it would also make sense that original executor has to allocate all executes to only 3 heads because it is lacking

Here's my theory about Exeggcute: may be, when Exeggcute first came to the Pokemon world, it was in perfect condition. Eventually, a trainer came along and tried to catch the Exeggcute, though, he still didn't find the other Exeggcute to breed with to have more and more Exeggcute. The Exeggcute did not want to be caught. He'd always knock the Pokeball away. Each egg (*seed*) took turns knocking the Pokeball away so that only one egg will have a bunch of cracks. Each of them all had a LOT of cracks. The egg in the back, it his turn, once he knocked the Pokeball away, he broke. Lucky him it was only top that broke, once the rest of them saw they knew they couldn't take anymore either. Exeggcute knew the only option left was to run, and they did. They kept on running until they found their the other Exeggcute. Finally, after 10 months they found the other Exeggcute. Apparently they fell down a hill and hit a boulder, the egg in the back was also broken on the top because she was being used as a sheild, the rest of them had some bad cracks too. And so, that is my Exeggcute theory. 🐣

It's because originally Exeggecute was supposed to be a three evolution line, the 2nd evolution shows the eggs bigger turning into the coconutes on a small plant that's growing out of the broken exeggecutes head which then would evolve into the fully grown exeggutor. There u go, that's the actual answer.

Alolan Exeggutor is original -> Goes to Kanto and neck shrinks due to sunlight -> Exeggutor egg falls off (check out the R/S/E Dex Entry) -> Broken egg finds real egg -> Exeggcute is formed
~sigh~ Another one of these. Ok, I'll run through this quickly. First, that wasnt what I was referring to when I said the "original" Exeggutor. Second, despite that, if you think about it, Alola Exeggutor is NOT the original Exeggutor. That's just a theory that came up in the anime because the conditions for the Alola region are considered to be perfect for Exeggutor, so it was theorized that it came first. Be that as it may, if you think about it, it doesn't make sense.
Consider what an island is and how it comes about. Island are either formed from the lava of underwater volcanoes or relished up from under the sea by earthquakes or plate tectonics. In these cases, there is no life on them, and life is brought there from the mainland. The other possibility is that the island was once part if the mainland but breaks away, carrying the life on it with it in which case the Exeggutor and other Alolan Pokemon come from the mainland and the conditions and environment of where the Alola region ended up caused them to develop differently. In either case, the regular Exeggutor came first. The environment of the Alola region just acts like a type of wonder grow for Exeggutor, pretty much jacking it up like steroids.

One thing you got wrong is the fact that Alola Exeggutor is technically the original, since it's stated that Alola Exeggutors were brought to Kanto and then started looking like the "Normal" Exeggutor, so the head on Alola Exeggutor's tail is natural, and not having a tail is unnatural.

Or it's a reference to the way some trees reproduce by having their fruits ripen and fall off usually to be eaten by an animal and digested in a way that promotes it's growth.
so basically the eggsecute are fruits that bond together to eventually become a large plant. which then has fruits of its own that it leaves behind when reproducing.
so there's like 5 executors that contribute to each of the fruits. it would also explain why the fruit is more like an egg. because it's basically a walking tree fetus.
but also the falling would explain why they all look at least a little cracked with the more damaged ones being more passive until it easily merges into the rest of the collective.
The Alolan form is actually supposed to be the natural form, and the form found in Kanto and elsewhere is due to the lack of light. I seem to recall that being part of a Dex entry or on the website..
Its not an "unnatural" thing, but a random, mutant evolutionary style that was beneficial (or just not detrimental) to the alolan exeggutor. It never happened to Kanto ones because 1. it never even occured in their gene pool
2. If it did, it just wasn't selected for for whatever reason.
If it falls, then breaks a little, and breaks into six eggs.
So maybe the part of the big egg that was damaged the most would be the broken egg out of the six.

I also have a theory for broken exeggcute. The cracks resemble how they are respected no cracks mean well. A bit crack means not kinda respected normally. But cracked that means treated bad.

Alola is the natural form. Its been stated that exegguctor was originally meant to look that tall and the kanto version is shorter on purpose.

First the environment and amount of sunlight was called "unusually" intense, so that alrwady is out if the norm, which caused a different type of Exeggutor. It also caused other Pokemon to develop differently than what's normal, which only supports this. And think of it this way, if the regular Exeggutor are found all over the world, but the Alola Exeggutor are found only in this one small island (a 99% outcome to a 1%, if that many), then clearly the Alola Exeggutor is the unusual one.

That's a possibility, but seeing as there are several other Alolan Pokemon, it suggests that this is not the case. I look at the Alolan Exeggutor like a person on steroids.

Depends what it evolves into. I'd certain circumstances cause it to evolve differently than it would when left alone (or really under any other conditions), then the Alola region clearly had an unnatural effect in its evolution.

Yes, animals adapt totheir environment. As such, Alolan Poemon adapted to the Alola region's climate and environment. In Exeggutor's case, the abundant amount of sunlight resulted in overgrowth. Think of actual plants. They few at a natural rate, but if someone or something interfered, say moved it to a different climate with greater sunlight, gave it wonder grow, enriched the soul it grew in, etc, it will develop beyond the norm. Is this the plant's "natural" form? No, it got more than what nature naturally provides so it developed differently. Same with Exeggutor. The Alolan region caused a different development, which is, somehow, a tropical island tree that's part dragon (wtf).

I'm gonna do a video on that, but no, i dont think so. i felt the Alolan people were biased on their judgement bevause the Alola Exeggutor was the one they were used to. Remembet how they tjought the Ice type Vulpix was normal and the Fire type was wierd. The way I see it, the Alolan Exeggutor us like a person on steroids, the unusual environment and intense sunlight caused a type of overgrowth. For further evidence, just look at its type. What seems more likely, Exeggcute going from Grass/Psychic to Exeggutor's Grass/Psychic, or Alolan Exeggutor's Grass/Dragon? Just look at it this way, if the Alolan Exeggutor is found only in the unnatural environment of the Alolan region, but the original Exeggutor is found all over the world, then clearly the Alolan Exeggutor is the strange one.
Not so sure if that holds: Monotremes are way less common than placental mammals, which appear in much more places of the world, but monotremes are still the more primitive type of animal despite only appearing in Australia. That, and it's equally possible there's a bias from us players' perspective, as the psychic exeggutor is the one we've known longest, especially considering that the majority of games so far have taken place in the equivalent of Japan, making the majority of game locations quite far from the majority of the world. There's also a possibility that the psychic type arose in exeggutor in Kanto due to the prevalence of poison-types in that area which being dragon-type wouldn't protect from. Or perhaps the original exeggutor looked more like the ones in Alola in form, but was pure grass type, the secondary types independently arising later on.
Just my thoughts of alternative explanations. If you're not convinced, it might be interesting to hear why not in the upcoming video, as considering all possibilities is a pretty key part of theorizing and makes for stronger arguments.

Wow. Usually when i watch peoples pokemon videos, they say stuff over and over, theyre annoying, and they go back and forth through stuff. your video is properly laid and planned out. well done.
The broken one is broken right on top. If you look at the evolution, you can see its body is shaped like a egg too. On top of the body the neck comes out right at the broken spot.
Please don't take this the wrong way, I just want to help broaden on your theory. My only issue is with your thoughts on the Alolan Exeggutor being more unnatural than "Regular" Exeggutor. I'll share this link and if you read through the top section, you'll read that the people of the Alola region say that Alolan Exeggutor is the true form of Exeggutor. And a possibility for the broken Exeggcute theory based on this information; perhaps the Exeggcute that falls from the tail of Alolan Exeggutor is one of the strong Exeggcute. It would also explain why there are so many more healthy Exeggcute. It also brings up the reason "Regular" Exeggutor doesn't have a tail. Its heads are lower to the ground so there is less chance of an Exeggcute breaking from dropping off, also why there are more healthy Exeggcute. I think it makes sense.
They have stated that the Natural state of Exeggutor is the Alolan form and the shorter form we are used to is the oddball as it isn't receiving enough sunlight to grow big and strong as the Alolan version does.
I like the theory about why one egg is broken though.

The natural form of executor is the Alolan form, the ones in Kanto are because some migrated there and because of the lack of sufficient sunlight are malformed. My theory is that the broken egg SHOULD be the tail but because of the incorrect conditions in Kanto it is sacrificed for nutrition to evolve.

Look at it this way, if Alola Exeggutor is found only on Alola island, but regular Exeggutor is found all over the world, then clearly Alola Exeggutor is the strange one. You could argue that Exeggutor originated on Alola Island and migrated to the rest of the world, be coming underdeveloped, but this is very farfetched. Besides, Alola is an island. So it was either part of the mainland and broke away, or it else from the sea. If it rose from the sea, then the Exeggutor and other Pokemon migrated to it and adapted to the environment. If it broke away from the mainlans, then the Exeggutor and other Pokemon were on it at the time and adapted to the new environment it gained when it settled in its new location. Either way, the regular Exeggutor were still first. The only way the Alola Exeggutor could be first is if the entire planet once had the Alola region environment and sun's intensity, but then everywhere else in the world changed except for the Alola region, in which case all Alola Pokemon are the "true" Pokemon, but this is statistically impossible.
The theory is good but Alolan executor is actualy the natural evolution and when it was brought to Kanto (that has less sun) it got smaller.
This is a good theory but I can break it. exeggcutes pokedex entry states (Idk which game) the cracks and the busted egg are because the closer they are to evolving the more cracks/broken they become. but the exeggutor theory holds up.

And Nintendo is so bad at accepting mistakes that they don't even make the Correction in the Franchise.

In pokemon FRLG you see pidgeotto pokedex information says it can carry an exeggute, so one got broken, but how about exeggutor? He is a palm tree and it is impossible a tree could hatch from an egg, so exeggute is actually a seed
