"Don't just build an audience" Build a community. This is very effective goal to achieve but honestly, it's very challenging as well. Thank you for sharing this. 🙌🙌
I kept skipping this video on my feed because of the title ‘How to Start a RUclips Channel’. But I watched it because I watched all the latest Think Media content and didn’t know what else to watch. I am glad I did, this is premium content and has little to do with starting a RUclips channel. However, this video has tons of valuable content even for ‘veteran’ RUclipsrs such as myself. Thank you Think Media!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've been watching "how to" RUclips content for years and this is THE MOST TACTICAL and PRESCRIPTIVE video I have ever seen!!! What great content, confident and yet humble, welcoming helpful presenter in Vanessa and perfect in length and subject matter covered. I cannot thank you enough!!! You instantly have more credibility with me than the thousands of other content creators I've watched. You are so incredibly helpful and generous with your knowledge. What a gift, so inspired right now!!

I did the same thing with lighting and in general buying too many things that I have now given away because I didn´t use it and is too much to carry as a traveler. Now I have my gopro and extra batteries now and a tripod :)
Starting today I'm uploading one song a day until I have my breakthrough. I'm a music producer from Haiti and I've been dragging my feet on launching my RUclips channel. Thanks think media, for the motivation. 2023 my audience will find me.
I had the courage to start my RUclips Channel last yeat, and so far, growing the channel has not been easy or fast. I will keep putting out content and keep the faith.
I recently started and I'm enjoying so far. I love everything about it, from filming to editing and thumbnails. I just passed the Valley of Death and I'll crawl to the top if I must to.
I’m 21 but remeber thinking when I was like 15 how much I wanted to start a RUclips channel idk what I want to do but it’s a process so f*ck it 2023 I start a RUclips channel and uploaded quality consistent content.
Im new to youtube but i hope my channel starts to grow, ive got 37 subscribers so far...🥺❤ i also hope that all creators are successful! Good luck to everyone, stay consistent and never give up, because there's always a beautiful rainbow after the fierce storm! 🥺❤
This is the most content filled video i have seen on this channel. They always say just press record but dont get into stuff like this. Now am more excited to go creating vlog of my life in Belgrade Serbia.
It's never been easier to start a channel and never been harder to grow one. I totally feel this but I pray and hope that all smaller channel makes it big in 2023. We just can't stop the grind 👊
ya, well I am guilty of the 'never starting' aspect she mentioned. For ten years. I look at some channels I admired when I started creating for youtube, and I hate myself. Somehow I just should have put the time in- many of those channels ten years later have millions of views and many have a million subscribers or more, and some have even had contracts develop in traditional TV media and their net worth reflects those successes. One creator i am thinking of in my niche has developed cash wealth in the millions of dollars via her youtube content and product promotion contracts, with over half of that wealth derived from the mainstream media contracts in just one year. No get rich quick really available with youtube, but with over ten years of development and commitment it happened for her - so the advice in this video rings true.
I would advice all creators to never give up and to do this is just by enjoying the process of creating, learning and accepting where you at. Also apply all the tips these growth channels provide, if it fails keep looking what’s wrong, what you can do better. And always enjoy the process. And one day all your hard work will pay
Thank God for kind people like this who are willing to share such information and in turn profit and gain more useful subscribers. It works both ways. Much Thank you young Lady. Keep it up. Give and it will be given back to you:)
2023 is going to be my year to be consistent. That's the goal. If growth comes, it comes but I just want to get consistent at creating content and posting regularly, on schedule. Side note, Vanessa is so beautiful. And shes engaging
@@RUclipsTeacherRemote I want to start at once a week. I haven't posted in a year and this is me getting back into it and pushing to be consistent. I want to start with posting Mondays or Tuesdays evening... or atleast schedule them that way because i want to record multiple videos at once. Then post RUclips Shorts, Instagram and TickTock versions or atleast schedule them everyday till the next main upload.
@@rinusworldzm I hear ya. Its the hardest to decide if you choose a niche or a concept. The getting started part seems to be toughest. Took me many many years to take the plunge. Best of luck 😊
@@RUclipsTeacherRemote I appreciate it. Made the channel in 2019, uploaded random-ish content and ran out of steam for it. Realized it wasn't something I was passionate about. When she said she wanted to be a RUclipsr since she was a high-school student.OMG! There was no smartphone when I was in high school, haha. Time really flies. Anyway, great insights. I can see why she is so successful.
Being a RUclipsr is very similar to running a business. You should upload thing people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. When the growth is real, you should consider hiring people with different skills (editors, script writers...) and continue to maintain a channel image that your viewers have in mind when they see your video. The most difficult part is starting. If I hadn't discovered Famester (which really helped my channel kick off), I'm not sure I would write this comment today.
I disagree over the years it has become a Business sorta but the YOU in RUclips always stand for you so basically do what makes you Happy or is fun for you and ultimately people will follow sad how RUclips now at days is all about making money
@@ryder4313 I understand what you're saying and it should DEFINITELY be about what makes "you" happy, however people like me would like to earn doing what they love so it makes sense to approach and handle it like a business in order to continue doing it with contentment not having to always be stressing over money.
Making it short the keyword of this is "STAY CONSISTENT" this video was suited for me as a beginners and not yet monitize in youtube world. I wish I could apply this very knowledgeable content. I love it.
As a new family on RUclips we just started uploading a month ago and we are still learning the process. To anyone that's trying to pursue your dream DO NOT GIVE UP it will get better. 🙏

Honestly at first I had my doubts, I was driving home and had roughly and hour drive ahead of me. So I then proceeded to look up how to start a RUclips channel. After listening through it all it has inspired me again and I can’t wait. Thanks so much! Much love and God bless everyone 🙏
Her best video by far which oddly enough is on a channel not her own. I watched tens of her videos, and it was all completely useless. I felt people watched her for different reasons (I won't get into, neither here nor there), but for helping people grow, I can't say she helped me gain one subscriber. This is gold what she's giving here.
This is soooo good. I'm a Realtor and starting my channel. The Memphis market is not saturated with YT creators so I'm on the right track. I'm also creating a lifestyle channel & connecting the 2. I have a 2 year old, running my real estate business, and I spend hours in the evening editing! It'll be worth it!!
I'm 45 married with 7 kids and would love to do youtube but of course I never know where or how to start. Also what holds me up is what to do it about.
Great session! I'm a beginner regarding RUclips and Instagram, but I'm an experienced and successful business owner. So, this new universe of Media is like jumping out of an airplane! But, Vanessa really laid the groundwork to follow.
The issue I have with ALL of these kind of videos, about "how to start a RUclips channel" is that they are all geared toward channels that will do the same thing as them, i.e. talking directly to the camera at a desk, table, etc. educating someone on how they can improve their RUclips channel. What about those of us who are wanting to create 2-4 minute entertainment based content that requires more production quality? I am in the process of doing that very thing. With a full time job, I've only been able to create 4 videos so far in 6 months. Not only can I not reasonably upload once per week, but I HAVE to wait until I have several more videos made until I can upload my first video. It's not just hitting record. I'm not talking directly to the audience on camera. I would really like to see someone else's take on how to start and grow a RUclips channel that doesn't have the typical vlog or direct communication style content.
I totally get your point as I am also not a talker on youtube. So most of her tips I cannot apply. I only found 2 useful things, which are the Death Valley, where I am at now, and the linktw thing. P/S: Just came across your channel. Very nice videos. I suggest you prepare enough videos to post for months or a year so that you won't have to stop in between. I'd spent like half a year to prepare enough content for my channel for one year. So, hope it helps. 😊
I spent 2022 going live on TikTok. I love it. I now have a ton of long videos that need to be edited. I’m torn between starting a podcast and a RUclips channel I enjoy going live, but I don’t know if I want to invest in spending a whole bunch of time editing my own videos I would rather try to hire someone to help me or at least to teach me.
Thank you, the greatest takeaway for me was to organize the videos and to set a work schedule. The entire content is amazing though I’ve listened to it a few time and always get something new. 💕🙏🙏🙏
So sharp! When she mentioned IF we head into a new currency? That hit cause this gal knows, our dollar is going to die soon and she is speaking too that literally, even though she mentions it in a hypothetical, she knows! Good for her!
I always get values out of this kind of talk. Thank you! :) But one factor that most speakers doesn't say but we all know: physical attractiveness. It's not essential in the long run but it is the advantage that less attractive people don't have.
I watch her on her own channel but damn I found this keynote she did was terrific - just surprised it took thinkmedia to unleash her best content yet. Thanks!
I manage a lot of people and knew they were going to see my content and wondered if that would have an impact on my career. But I thought about it and I realized that this is my passion and I really want to help people. It's been a fun journey, avoid those valleys people!
The information in this video is GOLDEN!!! It touched on everything, I wish I would have known when I started my channel back in 2011. Being that I'm a hairstylist my videos were getting a lot of views back then, but I was not consistent with posting content. I also did not know that much about the RUclips platform when I created my account. Once Instagram came on the scene, I created a business page on there in 2012. Sad to say, I neglected posting on my RUclips channel for a while because I focused on Instagram. Fast forward to today, It was intended for me to come across this video. Yesterday, I was just saying that I want to take my RUclips channel more seriously. I even did a poll under the community tab of my channel asking what type of content viewers would like to see. This video answered a lot of my questions, and was very helpful! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the lesson, especially that starter gear part, I do have that misunderstanding that I must get those perfect lighting, camera, computers, software etc., to start a youtube channel, Vanessa let me know that what we need to do is: JUST DO IT! Thank you Vanessa and thank you for sharing this lesson with us.
As a new RUclips channel - I would Love to get better and get my content pushed out to the right audience..that would be amazing, but creating content and wholesome vlogs also is a great way for me to collect memories too
I can listen to this CREATOR, all day. "Think Media." Has been a great speech for many of us who struggles pressing record. Thank you so much! I am here for it.

Thanks Think Media and Vanessa I follow both of you since many years and I love your content’ cause Its very helpfull. Wow!! Great video. I'm lucky to have learnt over ten years ago how to do this but things change. The music industry channels I've helped build for people like Echosmith and Sabrina Carpenter before they were famous, have well over a billion views now but I watched this today and learnt new things and got some great new eye opening ideas for my own new channel. Not this one. 😁 Thanks Think Media for always creating great content that helps every RUclipsr.

I love you and God bless you dearie. Thanks for this deep information
I’m gonna start my RUclips channel again in 2023 💪🏽.
Why not now?
@@CliqzHD technically I’m working on in right now with script writing and making a plan, but probably gonna post from 2023 😁
.....Just press RECORD!!
@@tobytorials great 💪🏽
I just subscribed to you. I’m starting a RUclips channel too. One for older education and older college students.
I'm 45 married with 7 kids and would love to do youtube but of course I never know where or how to start. Also what holds me up is what to do it about.
This is the best video I've watched so far on starting and sustaining a RUclips channel. It's a gold mine of ideas. Thanks for posting
I recently started with it and I never had so much fun doing something!!
I hope 2023 gives to you all the same energy and excitement!
cheers :)
We can do this! Good luck to anyone that's at the beginning of their journey, as we are. 🙏
Thank you! Same to you!
Thank you so very much ☺️☺️☺️
I hope 2023 goes better for me! And for all you that are struggling with the channels! ❤️❤️

2023, the year small youtuber crush youtube ❤️❤️
Lets go!!!
Building a community. A good challenge. Thanks ma for the comprehensive content.
Great session! I'm a beginner regarding RUclips and Instagram, but I'm an experienced and successful business owner. So, this new universe of Media is like jumping out of an airplane! But, Vanessa really laid the groundwork to follow.
So, 8 months later, how is it going? Has it been lucrative?
Vanesa you are a life saving person. Think media you guys are just incredible ,you just help us at the right time . Keep it up!!!!!!
All the moments of my life have funneled down to me clicking on this video at the right time. Thank you and I hope you have a prosperous 2023.
She's perfect! At the end she says make this your year!
The information we learn at this vlog is useless unless we take good action.
This training is so helpful for someone like me who loves capturing and sharing special moments but no idea how to grow the channel. Thanks Vanessa!
I started about two months ago and I want to make 2023 my year, thank for this💕
Actually I wanted to start about 10 years
I spent 2022 going live on TikTok.
Straight to the point 🎯
Ok..this is it...let's start! All the best to everyone starting their channel
I'm in the "Valley" at the moment !😅
Ready to start up again and apply this concept to build my momentum!
So do I ! 9 videos up and i'm like urrggggghhh that's why I am here. 😅
😢 I love the encouragement in the comments. I’ve gone down the junk journal rabbit trail and trying to figure out if it is my next niche.
I always get values out of this kind of talk. Thank you! :) But one factor that most speakers doesn't say but we all know: physical attractiveness. It's not essential in the long run but it is the advantage that less attractive people don't have.
Good point!
A good RUclips, like a good business comes with having a good story to tell. Story is King.
What a wealth of information, you weren't kidding about saving this for a later rewatch! ☺Feel way more enlightened with perspective on how to start.
What makes this video so special is the loud and clear voices used… especially the lady
I watch her on her own channel but damn I found this keynote she did was terrific - just surprised it took thinkmedia to unleash her best content yet. Thanks!
They need to reserve some info in order to sell you courses and tools.
I manage a lot of people and knew they were going to see my content and wondered if that would have an impact on my career. But I thought about it and I realized that this is my passion and I really want to help people. It's been a fun journey, avoid those valleys people!
Took notes through this whole entire video, such powerful information here! Time to put it all to use. Thank you Vanessa and thank you Think Media.
Thanks!
WOW 😮 absolute dynamite video - needs to be essential viewing for anyone starting a RUclips channel.
👊🏼💯
Thank you for the lesson, especially that starter gear part,
I do have that misunderstanding that I must get those perfect lighting, camera, computers, software etc., to start a youtube channel,
Vanessa let me know that what we need to do is:
JUST DO IT!
Thank you Vanessa and thank you for sharing this lesson with us.
Wow! You did not underdeliver!! This is DEFINITELY a save-and-watch-again-and-again!!
As a new RUclips channel - I would Love to get better and get my content pushed out to the right audience..that would be amazing, but creating content and wholesome vlogs also is a great way for me to collect memories too
Just subscribed to you.
ye i have started my channel and I know it will grow up soon! believe yourself not others ;)

What an incredibly engaging talk by Vanessa. I mean, I just followed her to support her! Amazing tips for those of us thinking about starting a channel. Very valuable video. SAVE! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Think Media and Vanessa I follow both of you since many years and I love your content’ cause Its very helpfull. I Start my journey in YT in 2020, I gained over 25K follower in 3 month, than I had to stop because of health issues for more than a 1 year. I plan to start over this year and to hit the 100K and more ✅ Keep focusing on your work but Your health is the more important. Wishing you to all the viewers and healthy new year ! To our success 🎉
This lady is very knowledgeable and she is an excellent presenter. This video was very useful to me. Thank you.
Wow. This was a really insightful video and brings a lot of motivation to not give and keep at it. Thanks for such content Think Media team. You guys have made a lot of people's content creation dream a reality.
28:18 OMG, yessss. Relatable. When someone’s promoting their channel/video I click on it, but then I see I need to sign in - and I just close it and that’s it 😂 such a “turn off” lol
Amazing video, thanx ❤️❤️❤️
This is a golmine of a video. Safe to say I'll be coming back once every few years to check up and see if I'm still aligning along with these goals!
THANK GOD! I became RUclipsr during pandemic...still struggling now...but, I knew sooner I will be biggest youtuber too... Thanks
