I feel like the kid with divorced parents that is hoping mom and dad will finally get back together even though it probably isn't going to happen
So this video is sort of like walking in on them having sex right?
Toronto band's are so great. Here's my Toronto tribute song
ruclips.net/video/iyh2Tyz0toY/видео.html
OMG this comment legit made me sad :(
too true. At least this moment happens. Will never for Moxy Fruvous.
@@normskyrocks their time has come and Jian
Watching this is 2023 wishing this band would be whole again 😢 sigh
Me too 😢

Steven Page's voice adds a lot of appeal to the BNL songs. He belongs back on stage with band. Without him, it's like a starfish with a missing arm.
I'll be honest, I only tried one BNL album post-Page, and didn't care for it. But I do really like a lot of the stuff from Page's solo albums. His voice (and songwriting) is the biggest part of what drew me to BNL.
It grows back?
Honestly, I think it's up to Stephen page at this point to rejoin. He's kind of selfish and dark for bnl, but I would welcome him with open arms back to bnl if I were ed. He wrote and performed songs like "the old apartment" that has helped me through my breakup. Talented individual and one of the founding members that's been through dark times.
I couldn't agree more. They've had some cute songs post-Page but nothing even comes close to their hey day.
Yeah, I like more songs on the albums with Steven page on them than the newer ones, i definitely think he added flavor to the songs
Their bassist is such an underrated player. He’s incredible.
I just saw them live. Dude, the bass player stole the show. His energy is awesome.
An absolute character, and really a sheer talent. Stage presence to win every show.
Stephen is such a huge part of the sound.
if this were any more Canadian I'd be crying maple syrup
That's the best thing I've read in a long time!
lmao.
If you cut them, they bleed maple serum.
LoL merry belated Christmas and Happy New year from me in Hamilton Ontario Canada miss Sally
I am.
Underrated moment: "Hey, that's Andy Creegan!" ALL the OG Ladies in the house for this one!
God I’d wish they could make it work , Ed and Stephen together is so good.
I can never bring myself to care about the Grammy’s, because they'll never have a moment better than this
Couldn't have said it better!
Steven with BNL just makes me smile. This was such a fun performance. I wish one day they put their issues behind them and play together again.
Isn't it weird when you get to that age that things make you happy just because they make you feel young, and you finally understand your parents' generation?
Especially when you thought you were "hip" because you liked BNL before they hit it big in the States?!
Great music is great music. It doesn't matter where or when it was from as long as you like it
Isn't it weird that you think this is good music
@@chriscarter8593 Isn't it weird you dug this deep in the comments to be snarky?
Oh man, watching this is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. So great to see and hear them together, heartbreaking because it was probably the last time.
It's been 5 years now and still the last time together.
Anyone else didn't want this to end?
Alex Marchand Yeah..
Yeah I’m not sure why it just didn’t do it for me.
Alex Marchand Hell yes! Would've been great if they did a few more numbers.
I wanted an entire show. One last real performance with Page and the boys.
@@Podcastforthewin I think the mikes were a bit muted for the One week song.... didnt have the edge.
It is like Page never left. Having Andy Creeggan join for "If I Had $1000000" was an added bonus.
I completely agree and i regret scrolling down and reading your comment before He came on stage.
Yeah me too. Ugh comments.
It brought tears to my eyes!!! Steve's been missing so long! This is such a good video! THANK YOU!!!!!!
It was a true reunion.
Maybe I can finally see them live in person one day
BNL singing “If I had a Million Dollars” is a piece of Canadiana. It’s goes so much deeper than it just being a song. There are some truly Canadian moments, and this song back in 1990 or whatever it was, that was Canada. The whole country sang it together.
The most Canadian thing aboot "If I Had a Million Dollars" is that our friends and family north of the border (which I have) call Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Kraft Dinner. 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Remember Canada?
@@traceythompson1092 As a Canadian everybody I know calls it Kraft Dinner. Weird to hear Kraft Mac and Cheese I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who says that lol. 😂
So many 90’s cultural references. I love it. Glad to hear Steven’s voice again with BNL.
Steven just slides right back in like he's never been away. Sounded so good. If this is the last time we see them together then it was a special performance to go out on.
Long live BNL and the Steven Page Trio!
I'm so with you. Hearing all of those voices together was cathartic!
Met182 has the band officially called it quits? I am aware that both Creegan and Page left, but with the release of Fake Nudes, I thought they were still making music (without the two aforementioned guys). Am I wrong?
As far as I know this is the case.
Massamoto so the remaining four are still rocking on?
They're still going, and Steve has done some good solo stuff. I stopped following the band when he left, he wrote and sang most of my favorite songs.
The magic was still there, like they never missed a beat. Now we can hope they enjoyed it enough to sign up for the "Everything Old Is New Again" Tour sponsored by Kraft.
As long as there were exotic ketchups.
Etruscan Roar Dijon ketchup
@@alexrickman3619 Yuuum
they missed a few beats
*looks at clipboard* Nope, you got everything. Perfect idea.
Have to love Steve @ 07:30 "When I had a million dollars". The whole thing is joyous, and very sadly missed
I picked up on that as well
And all was right with the world once again
How we wish.
Cringe
I was so glad to see them looking happy together again.
Even if it was only for our benefit... Don't think they're burying the hatchet and reuniting any time soon.
Agreed. They didn’t sit all together for the show. I’d love to see a tour but I’m not holding my breath
The preshow interview the 2 did speak very fondly of each other and their memories... and the hugs....
Yeah me too. I think it's just that they didn't want to say "we'll do it" and then not follow through on it. Kevin Hearns posted a photo of the band on his Instagram but Steven and Ed really didn't look like they were comfortable around each other.
By all accounts, they can at least be civil around one another. Actually becoming a family of choice again is another story.
Plot twist. Every single person on that stage has a million dollars.
Lol yeah but maybe not Andy though.
yeah but its a canadian million. so thats like. 1000 USD each. :P
and kraft dinners
I need a house anyway
And Dijon ketchup.
WOW. A ridiculously talented band that was always family-friendly, yet had really clever pop culture-referencing lyrics and a carefree attitude that was just infectious. I remember jamming out to "Stunt" in 6th grade, fond memories, great band.
You have not heard “A” and “In the Car” my friend.
It baffles me that these buffoons got on television with this garbage.
@@danielpatternson6149 Homeboy ain't heard "I'll Be That Girl" if he thinks they're always family friendly lol
@@sheamusahearn1125 true
Actually in One Week, the is a reference to the tantric sex position.
Sorry, but there is absolutely no Barenaked Ladies without Mr. Steven Page.
Steven made Ed LOL when he sang “when I had a million dollars” at the end.
I'm almost certain the bass player is the nicest man on earth.
Brings tears to my eyes seeing Steve with the guys again. One of the best live bands ever.
Steven being back on stage with them was already awesome enough, then Andy coming to play with them on "if I had a million dollars" just made this absolute perfection
The happiness seen in this performance makes me cry tears of joy every time. If this was a one-off, it was a great way for Steven Page to say goodbye. If it was a real reunion, then it was a great way for Steven to say hello. Truly a bittersweet moment in Canadian history, right here.
I agree. what a great performance. Would be cool if they got back together, though.
Everyone aged as expected. Except Jim Creegan, is he immortal?
So far.
Problems are everywhere but chemistry is undeniable.....please do a tour as the full BNL.
Page voice is what they were missing from the band, glad to see him united with them, they needed Page
Not gonna lie.....seeing them back together made my eyes leak a little. Congrats guys!!!
eww
Only a little? You have more optical fortitude than I, friend.
I cried like a sad little baby. I can't believe it's been nine years!
I'm glad that you didn't lie Elizabeth lol sorry, I love to see the full band back together anyways merry belated Christmas and Happy New year from me in Hamilton Ontario Canada
Not gonna lie, but I dunno why people have to say they're not gonna lie before saying something that wouldn't have been worth lying about.
Unless they lie alot so need to stress that this time, it's not a lie.
I have tears in my eyes. I miss these guys.
You are not alone!!! X
There is such a thing as chemistry in a band. Just proves how much is missed with Steve out. Hope they could come back together for more than this sometime before the "Old Folks Home Tour" at 70.
Never realized that Steven left to pursue a career as Drew Carey
lol
HAHAHHAHA
😐
😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Or Eric Stonestreet.
I was there! Watching Steven Page at 4:00 being giddy with joy to be back on stage with them after 10 years singing this song caused instant tears. Love BNL!
Nice! Looked fun!
I'm really hoping Page joins them on a tour. The chemistry between Steven and Ed is one of things we grew to love when seeing them live.
ed said not a chance. lot of bad blood there clearly. page screwed up big time and they must see him as a cancer to the band, but, I think they kinda suck without him.
Yeah and Jay & Dan pointed out that Page only sued them three years ago over the Big Bang Theory theme.
Do you have a link to an interview with Ed where he said this?
Give them time you never know,it's been a long time and they still have some stuff they need to work out.
" I think it's getting to the point
Where we have almost made amends
I think it's the getting to the point
That is the hardest part"
The band is Page....period.
From the uk, I grew up on bare naked ladies Gordon album, still fall to sleep to it pure talented musicians
Look how genuinely happy they look to perform ❤
That lady gathering frantically like it’s real cash. Lol
First off It looks pathetic, secondly being filmed on live television made it look even more pathetic. Good one lady
Jack HAMMER That was my daughter-in-law with the pink hair. Always the entrepreneur counting her millions. 😄
I bet her name was Debbie or Karen.
gathering frantically like they’re Big Macs
lol that was funny to watch that. but nice to see them back on stage together. my two favorite songs from them.
"Maybe a nice chesterfield or an ottoman." You really can't have a line in a song more Canadian than that.
Kristine Maitland umm yeah u can thats not even candian 😂
sure it is, if you're over 40.
you could buy a lot of ottoman's for a million dollars. But I'd still use them all.
While eating my kraft dinner.
I can't imagine there won't be a reunion tour. It would be bigger than the Stones with U2 as the opener.
Come back to us BNL!
Kristine Maitland I
What kind of weed are you smoking and why aren't you sharing?
I love Steven's voice. I miss them together.
Ed and Steve back together... singing a song about a couple that went through a break-up.
Stephen and Ed,....listen up........Dont think I can put into words what this band and their songs meant to me in high school in the 90's and so many others......especially the album "Gordon"...mostly the songs you dont here on radio still touch me,..........the high level of musicality on that album mostly unnoticed is amazing for those youngsters........now I'm 40's, 4 kids, what the world would call successful, but who cares,.....I'd love soooooooo much to see a reunion tour!!!
Cmon guys...lifes short,,,dont go out this way......we'll literally all be dead soon.
Honour your your fans who love you dearly and want to see y'all back together!!.....So quit fartin' around and do it for all us millions of Canadians ALREADY!!!!!....YOUR KILLIN US
put your phones down and enjoy the moment. I'm sure CBC is recording it for you
Amen to that!
True love includes forgiveness, compassion, empathy. This band has been through a lot.
I'm American and don't really watch the Junos, so when this came up on my 'explore' page and I saw the title, I actually yelled 'Oh my god!' out loud! I never thought I'd see the day when they were all back on the stage! It broke my heart so much when Steven left and I haven't listened to BNL since then. I know that if they were to get back together now, it wouldn't be the same (things never are), but I'd be so incredibly happy to see the 5 on stage again in person
Terrell L. Moody this is 100% how I have felt. I just happened upon this and it was so good to see everyone back together. Stephen and Ed’s voices and dynamic made them sonfun
Its great to see them together for the first time in 10 years
It's been that long? Damn
i know right i couldn't believe it when the news was talking about it
The0utlier it hasn't been that long, they dropped an album this fall and a couple of years ago too
i don't mean the whole band i mean steven page and BNL. also i love there new stuff to.
wow! cocaine flies when you're having a good time
True Measure of Success: Everyone was smiling!! That’s why you started a band. That’s why I became a fan. I will always be a fan of your songs. Thank you!
Why did this bring me so much joy? lol
they are pretty good apart, but put them together and that synergy makes magic happen
Anyone noticed at the end Steven sang “WHEN I had a million dollars” lol.....
Yeah lol self depreciating joke about him not being as rich as he used to be?
7:30.
He blew through it.
Peter Lewis snort
And Robinson is having trouble getting enough air to finish a line
I'm not crying, you're crying
Erin Peltzman ok that broke me up. Damn.
I've literally seen 100+ acts in concert and they were always the most entertaining.
This is such an uplifting experience in light of all the crap going on in the world right now. But BNL is not the same without Steven’s unique vocals and Ed and Steven’s chemistry on stage. I sure hope they decide to tour together again and give the thousands of fans what they are craving!! So many people were moved to tears when they watched the pure joy on stage. Life is too short. Just do the thing!!!
Super wish they could patch things up and get back together. Still, what a great moment.
who knows, this could have been a major step forward to that moment
Steven hinted at.... 'something'... on his recent tour. Not sure what that will mean. Maybe a one-off in the studio, or some benefit thing? Who knows. They seem to at least be mending fences, and it seems Steven is much more at peace with himself and his demons now.
I just found this and I wanted to cry. I love BNL with Page.
Ed and Steven together made the BNL so magical.
That was pretty EPIC. More please... with Steven AND Andy. BNL United
I was psyched to see Andy too.
Grew up in Scarborough and remember seeing these guys on Speaker's Corner. Them and Maestro Fresh Wes were the local superstars. So it brought me a lot of Scarborough nostalgia to here them work lyrics from Let Your Backbone slide into If I had a Million Dollars.
Saw them when they were kids at Edmonton Folk Kilts and Skateboards so fun!
Cried the whole time. Love this so much.
Me too.
Same.
My Maple Leaf Tattoo started hurting.. ( Harry Potter Reference)
There's always something about the atmosphere at a BNL show that just makes you feel better than when it started. Even through a screen.
Amen to that!👍👍
I couldn't agree more. I have been to see them four times now and each time is somehow better than the last.
They absolutely need to do at least one big reunion tour together! Maybe to celebrate Covid being over, it would help heal the world. BNL needs that special chemistry with Steven back!
This was truly epic! These guys seriously need to record together again!
It's not you this time; it's me. I'm crying. And ANDY!
Having seen them several times as a bar band playing in London Ontario, it is simply amazing to see how far they got.
Getting Steve back was amazing, but they also got ANDY CREEGGAN there as well. That must've been a treat for the old school BNL fans
This was awesome!
Steven Page really screwed things up in the past and as hard as it was, they guys made the right decision at the time. I feel he has done his time and deserves to be back in the group. Congrats guys!
justjoan82 this is exactly what happened. It was Stevens ego that caused the division. It’s time to heal now.
Steven has bi polar hardly his fault.
@@eddiefreeman2395 what? That doesn't excuse people from consequences. The focus on them possibly healing after the break is what's important
@@eddiefreeman2395 idk what his cocaine habits has to do with being bipolar but ok
@@rjncarpediem I thought it was cocaine that caused the division?
Absolutely soul wrenching that these guys couldn't get over whatever split them apart. I feel like BNL are right up there with The Hip and Rush as Canadian royalty, and people often forget about them because it feels like they have been erased in many respects.
Congrats to them and I'm so glad I'm only 4 years late in seeing this.
Looked like a complete, full, and happy band there. Best performance in quite a few years "together"
Love this so much. I miss seeing them altogether
LOVE these guys!!!
Omg my soul needed that!
Awesome to see them back together. It hasn’t been the same without Paige .
My daughter said a couple of months ago : "Grâce à toi papa, j'étais la seule dans la classe d'anglais à connaître ce groupe et cette chanson"...I was so proud of her. MERCI à ce groupe fantastique d'avoir fait tant de beaux morceaux.
Their live performances were always awesome
Love seeing them back together! One of my favorite bands ever.
Couldn't stop smiling through this! So wonderful to see!
Amazing. Congrats BNL
They look like they’re having so much fun haha lovin this
Steve knew everything even after 11 years... they really need to bring him back.
Damn, just to see one more, ONE more reunion tour guys! Cmon!!!!!
So in love with this!!!!
Love this...cried happy tears!!!!
Ed is fine and all but Page is the voice of that band.
Neither could carry it on their own to its fullest potential.
They are equally important.
Nope Page was the soul and their best songs in my opinion are all his.
So happy to see them all playing together again. They are such a great band with great voices!
I love these guys so much
Love you guys. LOVE.
Grew up in the 90's and this song just pops up in my life from time to time, without my looking for it. Love it EVERY TIME!!
This makes me so happy!!

I’m still watching this. They belong together.
