Welcome to my channel I unbox guns in short video format. I focus on what manufacturers include in their packaging but also discuss minor details or features of the platform. I hope you'll subscribe. Let me know if there are any particular unboxings you'd like me to do.

I've had my Fulton Armory M1 for 2 to 3 years now. This thing is truly heirloom quality and I'll look forward to passing it onto my children.

Before AR500 steel targets I had a pistol reset plate around 1983. So 357 magnum 6 inch barrel would leave a small mark on the plate. The 30 cal carbine would leave a dent the size of my fingernail.. so the 30 cal round is more powerful than the 357.

The mags will drop out if they have rounds in them because they're a lot heavier, or at least they should. My W.W.II Inland original will drop or not drop a mag depending on how worn it is, how old it is or whether it's an original G1 mag or Korean replica or whatever. By design the carbine was not necessarily meant to retain mags. Really they are supposed to drop out without pulling them out. Basically. And in the case of your brand new carbine from Fulton, after a while the mag well might more freely drop out mags freely once it's worn in a bit. So it's between the mags themselves and the mag well too.

I would avoid the Aquila .30 Carbine ammo long term unless its all you can find. I've found it to be underpowered compared to other commercial brand ammo. FYI, the original M1 Carbine safety was a push button. They switched to the flip style safety because GI's could confuse the mag release for the safety in combat. I own 3 FA carbines, 1 with the Ultimak rail installed. I would recommend trying the Vortex Venom 3MOA reddot on yours. I use one on mine and its a very light and handy optic. Palmetto State Armory runs sales on them time to time

I toy with the idea of ordering a Fulton Armory M1 carbine (standard service model) every few months. At $2,500 though, it’s a tough decision. I had an Auto-Ordnance version, which I enjoyed, but you could see and feel the cheapness in fitting and materials. One of these days, I’ll break down and treat myself to a Fulton.

Should always clean inspect oil and grease your new gun. Cut the button out of mag pouch. Before it dents your stock.

I bet that sling is cotton, if it is imitating the original sling.
Put a good LPVO on it with a long eye relief. Nightforce would matchFulton Armory's quality.

To me theres always just one question about the M1carbine? Where can I find DEPENDABLE magazines? Ive owned 2 carbines and at least in those days there seemed to be no good mags. If that has changed I would consider getting another one.

I have a few carbines with a mix of GI and other unknown brands and have zero issues . From what I have seen KCI seems to be the best and at a reasonable price . Gun mag warehouse has them and you can buy singles or they have them in 10 packs .
You may try “Keep Shooting” as well and last I checked both of these are currently on sale . Who knows they may be the same brand but if I recall Keep shooting’s description sounds as if they build their own .
I’d stay away from Pro Mag as I have heard bad things about all their offerings . Good luck !

For 50 more bucks you could have gotten a ww2 receiver.

I would have gotten the 18" barrel myself (I own 3 FA's) but if he likes the 16" barrel length good for him.
