Your hair is looking mighty good!! Great advise as always ☺️ I used to moisturize and seal faithfully a few year ago, and it weighed hair down too much for my liking, but when I found my "holy grail" shampoo, conditioner , leave in and serum combo, HELLO !! hair took on a new dimension. and speaking about that Paul Mitchell foaming... WOW and a double Kaa-POW! 💃🏾
I don't moisturize and seal as much as I used to anymore either for the same reason. Having a good shampoo and conditioner plus leave-in really helps and I find it unnecessary to have to m&s as much as I used to.
@@DolceDawn Hello hair goddess, found a stash of PM foaming pomade, didn't know what to do with it when I bought it awhile back, applied a just a touch and Nexus Comb Thru finishing mist to my edges and ends and they are super soft, still go that flowing bounce. Good bye coconut oil and hello PM! Thank you for those recommendations...
Oh yeah setting lotion is my cheat product for curls that last over a week. I rarely see RUclipsrs using them but once you know, you know. That Elasta QP Mango moisturizer a little goes a long way. I also use the leave-in, the ingredients are different specifically the aloe vera content, but the name is pretty darn close.
You’re right - setting lotion is the cheat code to a style’s longevity. I can’t go without. And I almost grabbed the wrong Mango Butter picture for my vid when I looked it up. You’re right again - the name and jars are almost identical. 😉
Dolce your hair is looking how my hair looked in high school. Super thick and super healthy! I'm struggling with thickness in front but I'm trying to combat that with less manipulation. Thank you for your tips looking good! :-)
Aww... you’re more than welcome, Teleah. Thank you and I appreciate you watching! We’re gonna do the work and get your hair thick again... 😉 #besthairlife #Letsgo 💁🏾♀️💪🏾
For moisturizers I've been using the Chi keratin leave-in reconstructing treatment but the foaming pommade is going on the list. Paul Mitchell is bogo half off at ulta this week so I just picked up the Neuro protect heatctrl iron hair spray. I usually use PM hot off the press because I like an aerosol and it has a slight hold but wanted to try the Neuro because it boast more hold plus shine. You always recommend such great products, I love these videos.
Ulta has the sales for you, don’t they?! That’s where I get my PM products, too, because you can always catch them at a discounted price/on promo. Never heard of Neuro... gotta write that one down (writes down “N-E-U-R-O”...). And I’m glad you’re loving the vids, Kalisha! Thank you! ♥️
@@DolceDawn The Neuro line has a lot of products within it. They have a shampoo & conditioner, a primer, some type of treatment and a couple of other things. They also have a flat iron and the line in general is to prepare your hair for heat while also reducing the rate of heat transfer to your hair. I might check out some other products eventually.
Ok...I've branched out and purchased the Paul mitchell skinny serum. At the mo, I am using ORS heat protectant serum however, I am curious about the PM serum☺. I've given up on the M and S. It just weighs my hair down and makes my scalp itchy.
@@DolceDawn yes of course😁. I changed up my ORS replenishing conditioner - remember I was saying about the greasy film...well, the was no improvement after washing it out after 10 mins instead of the 20 mins. The creme of nature argan conditioner and shampoo are great 👍.
Hi! I’m a new SUBBY and just love, love your videos. They are very informative. I have low porosity, so as you know, products tend to just sit on my strands unless heat is involved. What’s your hair porosity?
Hey, Dawn! Thank you... and WELCOME ABOARD! 🥳 I do not know my hair’s porosity, so I rely on my hair’s response to products to know what works well for me.
Hey, Twinkle! I’m good - thanks! Hoping the same for you. I bought my Pommade from Ulta, but you can buy it anywhere they sell salon products - including some drug stores, Macy’s and JC Penny.
Unfortunately Ulta does not carry it anymore at least in my area. CVS JC Penny Target out of stock. Just when I want to try it. Will try Amazon. Has anyone tried buying PM foaming on Amazon?
Hey, Nat! Which product are you referring to? If you’re referring to the PM Foaming Pommade, it is more of a moisturizer and can be used on top or AFTER setting your hair with a setting lotion/wrapping foam to “glossify” your style. But I wouldn’t use a moisturizer solely to wrap/mold your hair as they are not formulated (for the most part) to hold/shape a style.
Hey, Domingo88! A lot of leave-ins as well as setting lotions have heat protectant properties already built in (which is good for indirect heat like blow drying). So as long as you have a good one of those (especially the setting lotion, which will help set your curls as well as protect), you should be golden with your rollerset. Serums are also good, too. 👍🏾
I swear by the tresmae(sp). I will try the other products you recommend. But now I'm dealing with frizzy ends. Did a trim I don't want to big chop. What do you recommend?
Hey, Denise! Well, it’s hard for me to say without knowing your regimen or seeing your hair, but you may still have split ends if you didn’t trim/cut enough off. Or you could have frizz from air drying and/or your products not imparting enough moisture. How often do you use heat? If it’s only your ends that are frizzy and not the rest of your hair, I would lean towards a heat issue (maybe iron is too hot or heat protectant is not sufficiently protecting your strands) and/or you may need another trim to rid your strands of all damaged ends. Hope this at least gives a starting point of where to investigate...
@@DolceDawn I blow dry every week wash. I plan to easy up off that and start air drying. Also plan to get a salon trim soon. Hopefully that will solve it, thank you again for your great advice.
Just a question Ms Dolce do you leave your hair out for the summer months because here in SC it's hot and humid I'm ready to cut my hair or pin it up. Just asking for healthy hair regimen purposes.Thank you in advance
Hey, Shakema! I wear my hair out all year round, but you have to do what’s best for you. No sense in suffering in the heat and humidity of SC unnecessarily. Pin it up in a nice chignon/bun or French braid if needed and keep it moving. 💁🏾♀️
Paul Mitchell foaming pomade 🤣🤣 1990's it leaves a shiny film on your hair & contains Petroleum & mineral oil resulting in dryness days later, bad product!
Hey, Summer Breeze! I’ve never had an issue with it and neither did the girl who recommended it to me. She loved it. But like they say, “Different strokes for different folks”! 👍🏾
