    I’ve seen an 02 GT automatic with 1 owner for 78k miles, but the price seems too good to be true? It’s listed at $4900. I haven’t seen it in person or anything but the only thing wrong is that the tags are from 2019. Should i pursue it?

      I cannot offer advice with purchasing a car, but this does seem too good to be true in my opinion. I’d consider that if they’re selling it they may already have had their fun, but with lower miles it could mean that those were full of being beaten on and driven hard for a high ratio of hard driving. Although 4,900 seems somewhat fair, I could easily list that vehicle closer to $7,000 if I owned it myself today. In this market, all things are high. Even my own Passat with 227k miles I would list at 3,500 with passing inspection and knowing it’s current state. Do reach out on Instagram if you wish to pick my mind some more, happy to help however I can!

    Quick question, why does the transmission shift so low? Was it rebuilt?

    • @radialreviews
      @radialreviews  2 года назад +2

      To my knowledge it is stock, but may just be the typical 4 speed tuning. They aren’t usually preferred vs the manual in those years and this might be why.

      @@radialreviews it looks like at the end it actually came close to the red line. It seemed to be short shifting most of the vids unless you wasn’t keeping it on the floor

    Looking to buy a 220,000 mile one should I do?

    • @radialreviews
      @radialreviews  Год назад +1

      In my opinion, I would buy a manual at that mileage but not the automatic. My reasoning is that this is a v8 muscle car, and people beat on v8 muscle cars. Owner number is also a factor, since a 1 owner car is only redlined at the start of a long ownership for the most part, while multiple owners will yield a repeated ‘new owner’ cycle of treating the thing as invincible in hard driving. Additionally, I would only get 220k miles at the right price, and private sale only. My rough range goal would be $2,500-4,000 paid top end, as the 4.6L is a reliable engine but not as much so when inside of a muscle car versus say a leisure vehicle like a civilian Ford model of the era. Those are my current thoughts, do reach out via Instagram for any more personal questions within the buying process and I will assist however possible :)

      @@Boostedangel do NOT buy one with that mileage, that thing is on its last life to say the least. and most likely isnt even the stock transmission. unless you plan on swapping the entire engine out of it and paying more than it costs itself stay FAR from. id say the max mileage you want in these things is 90,000-100,000

      @radialreviews I've been driving a 2000 GT as my daily for the last 17 years. I drive it pretty hard, blew up the automatic 11 years ago and I swaped in a TR3650 with no major issues since.
