That generation Mustang V6 hardtop can be picked up pretty reasonably and they are simple to work on. I had a 1997 hardtop V6 5 speed. Bought it wrecked when I was 16 from a neighbor. My dad and I concreted a couple steel eyelets into his driveway when we replaced it just for that project. We where able to straighten the frame out and put the car back together. I drove that car daily all through H.S. drove it 400 miles to Tech School in Wyoming, with all my stuff crammed in it, when I finished tech school I drove it 400 miles to my new home in Missouri and dailied it for four years. Then Moved to Winnipeg, Canada. I used that car to move and towed an inclosed 4x8 Uhaul trailer with it and did the same thing 4 years later when I moved back to Missouri. My Dad calls it the miracle car. Got rid of the car last August and bought a 2003 New edge. V6 Auto. 74k miles. Payed $2750 for it.
I have a 1999 ,green and convertable, looks the same just a year older.I did have to replace the top and the rack and pinion but yeah it,s a fun car to drive,,,it,s my retirement toy.

Nice video JJ! I like the simple, throwback interior cues. And the rust free aspect of this car! Up thumb!!
Well done ! I'm considering one of these as a retirement car for my wife ;)

I have a question. You said you drove different versions of this car. What was this car like with the v six and the manual transmission?
They were alright. Not as fun as a V8 with a manual, obviously, but I’d prefer it over the auto.
