Guild Wars 2 is a western made MMORPG with buy to play expansions, a free to play base game and a pay for cosmetic and slight convenience cash shop, this game is developed by ArenaNet and initially released in August 2012 since then having 2 major expansions with heart of thorns and path of fire with a third expansion recently announced and expected sometime in 2021.
Guild Wars 2 is commonly referred to as one of the most casual friendly MMOs on the market due to its horizontal endgame progression where you can't really fall behind, The game also features content for everyone from PVE Dungeons and Raids to a fully voice acted ongoing main storyline to both large and small scale PVP as well as a fantastic transmog and fashion system with thousands of collectables and achievements.

Got back into it again after 4 years and I've missed it so much. Goddamn is it underrated. The amount of content and repeatable content it has is just insane

Yeah I get sucked into it hard for a few months at a time and then when life gets busy it sits there lovingly waiting. Every time I come back in it welcomed me back and doesn’t make me feel guilty. It’s says, “bro I’ve missed you….go have fun cause we didn’t make you out geared”
It’s seriously the best fucking game ever. I love it so much. Sometimes just heading outside the city gates and picking a direction to run off in is the most fun I ever had. Always run into something new or some event that unfolds a little different based on how many players and what classes. Seriously…..I’m gushing but I can’t help it. It’s fuckin amazing
GW2 is not a good game. It aged terribly and the current development team is basically clueless regarding what they are doing.

@@jerome9166 I started working slowly for the legendary accessories, while gathering the mastery points useful for the passive and active skills. I just wanted that high mastery level: so yea, start from masteries.

Haven't played since the first month of launch. One of the first few 80s in my server, Charr engineer. Redownloaded the game after 11 and a half years and im excited to play it again. Forgot this game had no sub fee 🎉

It kinda looks like I'm stuck in 2012 when playing on a 4k. Max settings. I restarted from the beginning.. so maybe it's just the beginner's content. I'll look at my lvl 80 later I guess
@@Gomolon95 It's not worth a 4K monitor... yeah it will look slightly better than it does in 1440p but it's an old game... it's engine can do so much... if you're playing GW2 for the graphics in 2024 then you're doing something wrong...
I have played a lot of GW2, so I'm not hating on the game... just saying that graphically it was the shit 10 years ago... but that was 10 years ago for a reason...

@perzeusairosultan530 oh yeah I recently actually got a Samsung Odyssey G9 and it looks beautiful. I honestly just wasn't use to the graphical style but it grew on me.

back in Tyria after long time
The one thing it offers compared to the other top five because they all offer something different is that it's the most casual friendly MMO while still having a hardcore activities for you to do so. If you play it casually or if you play a play at hardcore the only difference between a two is pretty much how much content each player has concerned, but I've had the bestest slot gear for over 6 years now and every time I come back to the game I can just jump right back in and play. There's no new gear. I need to snatch up or anything and it's beautiful and they have multiple ways for you to obtain best and slot gear now. It's been over a decade so me and my roommate are like okay. Maybe now we should finally start working towards legendaries because we've been playing those games so long. It's ridiculous. We don't even have our first one.. but we are best friends and have been playing this game since the first one. Pretty much the game we've bonded the hardest over. As I said, compared to most MMOs it's the most casual friendly. So now that we have aged, we went from being teenagers to now in our early 30s we don't have as much time to spend on MMOs anymore. We have life plus work and everything so guild wars 2. Still being a casual friendly MMO just works for us and it's never made us need to switch to any other one

Go for a Steam Deck if you can. Much less expensive and it will run this just fine (on lower settings).

@@sseetthh yeah just give more room on already polished hot bar. Why do you have to use separate buttons for separate buttons just make hot bar longer
Just re-bind 'em. In most MMO games, you don't need more than numbers 1-5 and then you rebind the rest of your skills to something like CTRL+1-5, so you can use your entire rotation without really ever moving your left hand.
It could be one of the best mmo but Arenanet does everything possible to let this game die faster and faster.

GW2 is a good game. One of the best MMOs out there for sure. But objectively, it's neither the best nor is it for everyone. It's rather niche for an MMORPG.

@@Kyzar90 I have 974+ days playtime on wow, 1758 hours on GW and 1k on FF so I'm capable to say which one is better than other. GW is way more better than FF and I would say way more better than wow in many ways like Horizontal gameplay etc.

Biggest issue with GW2 is the best skins are bought, not earned. It's just FashionWars through your wallet. Kind of lame when compared to GW1.

@@moon_light9843 This mentality is exactly the issue with GW2, in my view.
In GW1 you'd go farm a named elite with a Signet of Capture to get Elite Skills that you could only obtain that way. It gave you a sense of accomplishment when you used it in FoW, Underworld, or whatever. This expands for the top tier armor as well in that game.
You didn't spend 2000+ hours getting the title "God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals" so some one who never even started could buy it in the cash shop.
Just a different outlook I guess.
I wouldn't say the best, the flashiest with a ton of particle effects and glitter? yeah, most of those are cash shop only, but more than 80% of skins are acquired in game (excpet glider and mounts), a lot of trash yes, but a lot of amazing stuff as well, especially legendary.

Trust this video. My pc will take 3 minutes to boot up Steam but absolutely no lag when playing GW2. Which is crazy because I also play Path of Exile and Swtor which have worse graphics but gw2 runs smoother and lag free in WvW

Hello. I made a Norn Guardian Firebrand and recently got 100% world completion... that's the only thing I've been doing so far. I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. I will try doing Fractals now with a team, or do you have a better idea what I should be doing? I'm level 80 going for a Firebrand build.

@@lukasraabe7174 just for pve let me explain, they got rid of warrior banners, assasain presance, spotter buff which was by far the worst thing ever done in the history of gaming, on top of that they gave every single damn class a boon heal or dps in the game which just makes every class feel the same another thing is the only challenge in the game is harvest temple cm im sorry but if you cannot do things like any raid on CM or EoD strike at the bare min on normal you seriously need to reconsider yourself as a pve gamer and lastly why the actual hell was the new fractal cm such a breeze, the only part that fractal was the fact it is so buggy.
now pvp, the onl reason why ppl dont like pvp (noobs) is casue they either experiance these things, they die and get laughed at and then never wanna come back cause there a chicken, 2, people are toxic (which btw is ultra mild in comp to litterly any other game) and then people go cry about it and do somthing else yea the game and its classes has the same if not more class design flaws than pve and when tf is a new system of wvw gonna come out they said alliances would be a thing for 10 years now not yet seen it actually drop.

@@bidon4325 Maybe it’s due to the laptop, the cpus are normally smaller and so is the gpu. But GW2 is unoptimized as well.

I have a RTX 3070 ti the GPU usage is around 40 percent only, and my cpu usage is only at around 20 percent my ram is 40 percent usage, in crowded placesthe fps drop at around 50 fps but the gpu usage still around 40 percent. Can you help me optimize the gpu usage to around 100 percent maybe i can get additional minimum fps. thanks. Windows 11, intel i7 12700k, Rtx 3070ti.

I’ve been playing right around a week now and this game is so damn good. I come from action combat MMOs like Elder Scrolls online and New World and I never dreamed I would enjoy a tab target game so much.
It doesn't need to be tab targeting. I play with the action camera.
@@Ubertortle I have picked up tab target fine. I toggle the action cam on occasion but I feel like you have way more control using the tab target system most of the time.

Tried the free 2 play version, Got bored fast(except if you want to play some event in the areas you encountered unless you just wanted to reach a destination without playing events, yeah it got bored) if your going point A to B since its quite slow when you want to reach certain destination. I wish theres free mount(i don't need the flying mount). or rental or Sprint buff that increase walk speed atleast i could reach the destination i wanted without walking simulator. But over all this game is fun :> for none subs game.
you can get a free rental mount early on I believe. I think you need to buy the expansions which are 100% worth it.
