0:43 AARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! The neck joint on the SG leaning against the couch is bearing all of the weight in that position. Lay it on the couch. Nice Les Paul.
Dont you think this one has a better tone than your 1968? i know at this level of guitars a youtube video cant be reliable but, at least, from the videos, i believe this is the best sounding les paul i have ever heard, is just perfect, amazing, lovely.
Love your videos Greg ,cause you put your heart in to every one. I love playing more , but you are second when it comes to listening to other guitarist.
Great tone, I like the 2008 Custom as well. With my eyes closed in listening only mode, I can not tell the tonal differences between the 2008 and this vintage 1973.
Hello and rock on! I am using an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Black and it has push-pull buttons to divide pickups in order to get a fender-like sound. I am wondering if Gibson Les Paul Custom has the same feature, too. Glad if you can tell me :)
I appreciate your playing and demonstrating the guitar, I played one that looked just like that one, but it's a more recent year maybe a 2014? Had different knobs and no pro bucker or fancy enhancements like the standard, and of course, I told about 3 times, its a custom! lol, at the local Guitar Center, and wow, it was just plain awesome! Of course the price tag was just as awesome, $4,770.00. What is the play along song track at 1:27? Great blues playing too! Thanks for sharing!
Hi, so beautiful, compliments ! Please, could you test also the Gibson Les Paul Custom Ebony recently delivered by Gibson ? Anyway ...if you know it, please what do you think (pick ups, fingerboard, ...) I'd like the Santana sound ...? Thanks. Angelo
HELLO, IF THAT IS A 1973 GIBSON, IT WAS MADE IN KALAMAZOO MICHIGAN AT THE ORIGINAL FACTORY.. I HAVE BEEN ON A TOUR THERE, MET ALL OF THE ORIGINAL CRAFTSMEN WHO WORKED THERE, AWESOME PEOPLE, IT IS TO BAD THEY MOVED TO NASHVILLE JUST TO MAKE MORE MONEY, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE KALAMAZOO WORKERS WERE PAID UNION WAGES, NASHVILLE NON UNION, NASHVILLE IS LUCKY TO HAVE A FEW PEOPLE WHO RELOCATED THERE FROM MICH. NASHVILLE PUTS OUT A FEW WELL MADE GUITARS ON A GOOD DAY, THINGS HAVE CHANGED , COUSIN FIGEL
Chris Horton, that is cool that your dad worked there, when i was on my tour there, as we were leaving the back room and the last person i talked to was installing Frets, i talked to him for about 15 minutes, and he and another worker were talking back and forth, and the Fret guy told the other worker , OH DON'T FRET IT MAN, We all started laughing, then the tour guide told me it's time to go now, I looked at him and said I could spend the rest of the day here, I am enjoying looking at all the Machines that made my 3 1950's Les Paul Jr's and my other Les Pauls, I was in Heaven, All of the workers were real nice and Informative of their Job, they all seemed to Enjoy what they were doing, It was a Pleasure, Thanks for your Info, Cheers, Gary
So this is a pancake Les Paul? They changed over in late 76 or 77... I hear some people love 'em anyway and some don't. Sounds absolutely fantastic!!!!

HearGear I had one I got used end of 73. Was in a band in high school 1974 with it. (Funny that back then everyone thought the “new LP’s were crap) Years later and they are worshipped. I always loved mine until first wife made me sell it in1981. Yes, I’ll have to someday get another.
James Powlett the ivory around the edges has yellowed a lot from its original white .. only time does that .. I have a 92 custom ... which hasn't yellowed that much ..

My dad was a Gibson employee at the Kalamazoo plant. He was a tuner/adjuster and filed the frets.

okko diablo gain+
how much?
oh so many guitars....
...mit riesen 70er kopfplatte, geil.
mic used?
Question, Greg: do you own all of them?
No. He has a few that he personally owns/keeps. Most of the guitars showcased in these videos are for sale. Click on his info box above for his website, availablevstock, and to learn more.
Don't be fooled. It's his hands. Those hands could make just about any guitar sound good.
He's having to work hard to make this one sound good. It has a decent tone but notes just seem to die, not what I expect of a Les Paul...
No binding nubs. :(
What gender is that? I would like to look for more songs like this
Antonio Cienfuegos blues
This is a great looking and sounding guitar.. LP Custom from 1973 is something special to me :D.. check out my 2014 Gibson Les Paul Custom unboxing.. :D

you have the best amps and sound eqip you could be playing a 3 dollar guitar and it would sound great--so what's the point
+Dave Sabulsky ..... well, what exactly is the question..?
+The Holy Father. 1 plus 1 = 2 .
the point is you are a complete idiot. practice!!
A $400 used Peavey Classic 30 would sound very close to as good man...
@@Dream-Academy no
you must be rich with all those damn guitars
yes, my uncle is pretty big in rice business, Ben is his name by the way....
Iron Cross
i saw the bear
Please switch off the delay
А чо, русскоязычных нету тут?
Let the bear play some riffs...
All of his guitar tones are the same
Plays strats nicely but never seems to speak thru a Les Paul
This guitar looks to new to be a 73
