Pete Castolome no u can put the files on your internsl storage just be carefull u dont wipe them off in twrp recovery
I tried to put it on internal storage (didnt put it on a folder, just on the internal storage it self when you open it up on compter) and I cant find it when I try the instalation part of magisk and no verity.
Pete Castolome in twrp select install & select storage option the choose internal storage if u still dont see the no verity files choose UP A LEVEL then scroll down untill you see the files

@@verylongchannelhandle Then connect your usb cable, put files in twrp folder, it should be the single one existing in your phone storage, and then go on internal memory, it works just fine

The TWDP file does not download as a .Tar file for me and Odin will not accept the file image. Help?

Awesome man, this is by far the best guide out there. I tripped knox ages ago but wasn't rooted anymore so I had only the disadvantages of the root left. Thanks to you I can use Samsung Health again!
Edit 1: Upon rebooting it went back to Team Win Recov screen, even though its successfully rooted, anyone know how to fix? Used this guide to root my Samsung S7 SM-G930W8. Followed it pretty much to the tee but I didn't have an SD card so i put my zip files just onto my external storage and followed the same process. Thanks a lot my man!
When i try to install Magisk it says: '' Updater process ended with ERROR:1 Error installing zip file ... Magisk v16.4. zip what can i do ? ..

I even paid to get root, and they couldn't get root for me. No one has said to hold down all the keys on the phone and I couldn't understand why I couldn't boot into TWRP win recovery. I used twrp-3.2.3-0-hero2lte from official TWRP website, but you should get always the latest, up-to-date version for your device.

Amazing video bro, but i've got a question for you. after all the process i went back (Of course after booting and checked that everything was correct) i went back to twrp to make a full stock backup and i have noticed that my data partition was in 0MB This is normal? that would be an impediment to install a new rom or a new kernel?

Hi, I have a question. Does this procedure format the mobile drive? Reason I am asking is that I need to retrieve lost photos from the internal drive from my S7 Edge, so rooting is required, but I am not sure that this method will preserve sectors with deleted data.
Question. Will this work with the G930A model? They have a different processor. I see a lot of G930F links.

I'm looking to recover deleted texts on my S7. Rooting the phone appears to be the only option, yet rooting the phone will wipe it clean is that correct? So recovering deleted texts on an s7 running android 8.0 is impossible?

My device is starting... I can select the language and i can connect it to my router.
But after that it`s searching for Updates and it doesnt stop doing that.
I got a good internet connetion and nothing is happening its just saying "Searching for updates please wait some minutes"

Hi, I was doing it again and i faced some problems. When I went to TWRP it didn't see my sdcard. I turned off the phone and put sdcard into my pc and all the files are there. I had to flash stock rom as it didn't want to boot and when I turned on the phone, it also was able to see sdcard. Do you know how to fix it?

Many thanks for the great howto. That worked not excactly for me. If I follow the steps, I end up with not having Magsik and no root. But after booting to the OS and running through the setup, I flashed Magisk again and that time it worked.
I did all the steps except No Verity Opt -Encrypt 6.0 because file is deleted from google drive , I think root succeeded but I can not edit files it give me message read only files , Is this related to the missing step of No Verity Opt -Encrypt 6.0 ?
Can I keep my data ? Because in the twrp you're doing a wipe data, but it's removing everything no ? And I dont want to, so thats not making a problem if dont do that ?

I got root on my G930F. Unfortunately, I can not do a TWRP backup because /Data can not be mounted by TWRP. Actually, that should work, right? What can I do?
Followed attentively, only difference was I used twrp-3.2.3-0-herolte.img.tar instead (latest twrp).
TWRP INSTALLED & MAGISK v16.4 ROOT works.

Yes it wipes everything except the sd card so make sure u backup any important files contacts pis videos 1st

Hey! What are the options to follow for when i turn of and turn on my phone back on. I thought that I would be able to power off my phone and back on with no additional prompts. But whener i turn of my phone and turn it back on the options appear as when i first flash it, is there a way to skip that? That way i dont select something by mistake and F#$% myself? I have a bit of an issue. I followed everything and got my s7 rooted successfully BUT my battery life has rel got a hard hit. my battery only lasts about an hour as compared to beefore it would last me an entire day. also it doesnt show my estimated battery life. for about 3 days now it says "Learning usage pattern"

I tried this on an S7 Edge G935P for Sprint and I tried both twrp's and both of them gave me a fail in Odin, incompatible phone?
Can you help me? First, Odin recognized my mobile, but the Id-com was Grey. So I installed the drivers from Samsung Kies. But now, Odin does not even recognize my mobile any more. what can I do now?

Well it started working, but gets stuck on the setup connection line. I'm blaming sprint.

it said failed when i tried to flash magisk. First i downloaded it from another website but magisk was still the same version then i tried with you exact version from the links but it still failed.
