I'm a 66-year young female (young at heart at least) retiring in 3 months. Selling my house in Florida and moving into an rv . Also gonna tow my 4x4 jeep. I'm "chomping at the bit" to get up and go! Speaking of rescuing animals… I recently had something happen on the road and I thought I was going to have to rescue two dogs at the same time. Can you imagine that all of a sudden I become a four dog nomad! It seems to have all worked out, though I will cover it in a future video. 🌲🌵🐕🐕🦺
I've got a couple suggestions taken for what they're worth. When you are going on a hike by yourself hate it could be even a little risky, leave a note on your door or even inside the camper if it's unlocked, explaining where you have gone the time you have left with the date play the time and date you expect to be back also the dogs are inside. Providing the dogs are in the trailer.
I really enjoy your wide-open hikes, the huge sky, rain coming from way off... makes me think of a post-apocalyptic scene. So glad to know there are places like this. Great music too! Thanks G.O.

Yippie, you were at the top of my feed! Love this style of video, THANK YOU. I am going to believe the person loved their dog, obviously tried to get care for it. The dog passed and leaving it with it's favorite blanket was the best they could do. Yes, they should have buried it, maybe they thought they were giving back to nature.
I really appreciate this video. Perfect length, and it held my attention. I enjoy just hearing you talk about things and showing us where you are, etc. As for the cave, I wouldn't go alone, but I'm a huge scaredy-cat. I'm sure you probably already did it, haha!
I posted a link in your previous video to info on increasing the size of the hole in your pilot jet to reduce surging. I appreciate that this may seem daunting to you, but it is a common issue. Small engines run lean to meet emission standards and the slightest bit of build up will cause them to run even leaner and surge. Ensure the hole in the jet is cleaned out by using a torch tip cleaner or small drill bit. It may look clear with the naked eye, yet still require cleaning.
I have a few (OK, more than a few😃) years on you, but enjoy your relatability. No pompous stuff, fancy graphics and theme songs, no half a million RV in a park I can’t afford, just “here I am and this is what I’m doing, making the most of it.” That, coupled with your devotion to your dogs, keeps me watching. Thinking about going to Quartzite for the first time after the holidays. Love to meet you if you’re there. I’d love to pet Dodger, he’s awesome.

You should read your comments several people wrote in on your comment page and told you to check that idle screw. I myself was going to do that but so many people had already said it that I seen no use in me writing it also.
Looking to a laser light therapy wand for dodgers hip and lag works wonders. Also I would recommend getting an easy start kit for your trailer ac unit. The. You will not have any power issues running the ac in the summer.
I do have an easy start installed. The generator has worked well in the past for the last few years running the air conditioning with the easy start. I think I’ll get it figured out eventually so that system works again. It’s just that I’m not very motivated to get it working because it’s been so cold out lately so I don’t need the air-conditioning at all. You know what I mean?🌵🌲
Continuing from my last comment. I accidentally hit send. Farmers will leave their gates open in the fall because the older cattle will lead the younger cattle back towards the ranch as it starts getting chilly out they have a natural tendency to go back to where they know there's food and water and care. Any old rancher knows this. And back to the risky cave the thing of it is it's not going into tight spots that gets people lost, as much as it is getting lost. People going in caves it's dark it all looks the same and they get in there and get twisted around and can't find their way out I think Columbus Ohio right now but I'm from Florida we heard about that all the time down in Florida people going into the old caves and getting lost. Sometimes they would be a matter of feet from the entrance but their lights are going out or whatever you know what have you and they get lost and they think they're way back in there and I guess they give up. People say if you get lost stay where you're at other people say don't stay where you're at try to find a way out. Myself I don't know, I would think myself would try to find a way out. However I can see the logic in staying put
I can't go for a walk without prospecting, tracking, foraging and then some. Mesquite trees get the most action. I always have my eyes open for a good hedgehog cactus might have to fight a blackjack for it
Ive had a few dogs cremated. You can spread their ashes just about anywhere. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Its good that it cold so you can appreciate the heat down south. May the good Lord watch over you and your family and friends. Peace and Love 😊.
If you have a dog, you're a dog trainer. You're either training them to listen to you, or to ignore you. Trust you or not trust you. It's irrelevant what commands or hand signals you choose to use, as long as you are consistent. If you wanted to, you could teach them that "Jump!" means "lay down and stay." LOL! It's actually a good idea to use unusual commands for some things because it makes it harder for someone to steal your dog if they don't respond to assumed commands in the way that's expected. For example, most people teach their dog to get in their vehicle with commands like "Up!" or "Get in!" or "load up!" But what if you taught your dogs to get in your truck by saying something like, "Green!" Somebody who wants to steal your dog would never guess that. LOL! I would always teach them that "No!" means they better stop whatever they're doing though, just because if they run up on a stranger, the stranger would be most likely to say "No!" to make them stop, and it's good that they should stop in that situation. Finding that screw was really lucky! Always nice to discover the problem will be an easy fix. A few days ago I decided to skip the gas generator and instead ordered the new Bluetti Elite V2 and the DC-1 charger because the V2 can run a small AC and the charger can charge any power station; which I already have an OUPES 1200 but the charging brick fried about a week ago and may have damaged the unit, so they're sending me a whole new unit...which means I'll have 3 power stations (1 possibly glitchy, time will tell...), and the DC-1 can charge all of them when it's too cloudy for solar...plus, I won't have to mess with a generator, maintenance, hauling extra gas, etc... I'm getting closer to ordering that trailer! I was going to do it this year, but then I caught Covid in June and didn't start to feel better until Sept (still not 100%, IMO). So I decided to wait until next spring. In the interim, I'm collecting the things I know I need and watching nomad videos is helping me figure that part out. :)
Hey so you do this full time? ive been looking at getting a trailer under 20ft but where do you park long term? I 'm not looking into driving all from week to week. The longer I can stay the better. I was looking at an RV beach resort RV park in Baja but the fkrs just raised it to 650 dollars from 425 just 1.5yrs ago! I wont pay that.
Best long term camping is in Quartzsite Arizona. I travel full-time, so yeah I usually only stay in places a week or two and then move on. It’s part of the adventure for me my dogs.
You definitely are in a desolate area. I’d find it interesting to visit but would not want to stay too long. It’s what I would feel it would be like after a nuclear holocaust. It is very comforting to have dogs to share your experiences with.

Dude, if I was a cow and you brought me out there to graze, I'd be pissed! I don't think I've ever seen such a desolate place. WTH do the coyotes even eat? Oh, and I don't know about that cave idea, sounds pretty sketchy to me. If something happened, Dodger and Echo would be trapped in that travel trailer for eternity.
Yeah, you are right about Eko and Dodger. Since there’s no other human around, I decided it’s not safe for myself. Let alone for me leaving the dogs behind. But man oh man, I really really really want to go inside🌵🌲🐕🦺🐕
