Watching the video of Troxus Explorer revolutionizing riding makes me want one too! The tires mounted on this electric bike serve an important function enough to be called the second heart. It seems that it is equipped with fat tires that can prevent the impact of bumpy roads. And I'm proud that the battery is a Samsung battery. Because I am Korean!!! It helped me a lot in choosing an electric bike today. It was a wonderful guide. thank you!
I bought this ebike about a month ago. I can say it's a beast! I love it! I usually use pedal assist 2 and go around 20 miles per trip. I'll only use 2 out of the 5 bars on the battery. Seems like this bike can go on forever on a charge. Yes, it's a very heavy bike. We have an RV and travel once in a while. I doubt I'll be taking it with us. Just too heavy to man handle into the back of a pick-up or even hang from a bike rack. Only thing I'm not too impressed about is the brakes. To me, it doesn't have the greatest stopping power. However, I usually don't go over 15-20 mph so I have plenty of time to brake. Another thing which is probably common...not sure...is the battery charger gets really hot. I'm talking hot. Now, I usually charge for about an hour, disconnect and let it cool down. I then repeat the process until the battery is fully charged. I love the big tires. I live in the country and periodically go down dirt roads and it seems to do well. I also filled the tires with Flat Out. I'd hate to get a flat with this bike and have to walk it home! I definitely recommend this ebike and would by another one.
Thanks Gary! Yes, the battery charger does get hot and your idea to disconnect and cool it down is a good one. Thanks for the comment and happy riding!
Another (plus) consideration is the UL 2849 listing on that bike, alot of reviewers ignore that fact. As it is a Samsung battery, I am more hopeful that it won't burn down my house. Yes, it's heavy as its a street/urban cruiser(stable riding) with some light off-roading. The bike geometry and the battery placement give it a lower center of gravity.
Great review, Kelly. Nice bike, but the situation of not being able to transport this bike is my biggest concern. I have a Radrunner Plus, which I’ve added many accessories, which I love to ride. Even though my ebike has fat tires and weighs 72 lbs,, I can still transport it on a bike rack. I appreciate the review, and am always interested in other Ebikes. #yesdeer
Nice e-bike Kelly. I Bought the VIVI Sport. Where I live we have lots of hills I makes riding more enjoyable. What drone did you use to get the great videos?
I have the smaller framed Troxus ebike (the Lynx). I really like it and would recommend it for anyone looking for a bike like the Explorer but want the smaller 20" tires. #yesdeer
I have to respectfully disagree about the bike rack comment. You just need one designed for the larger ebikes. I have the HyperAx rack and it has a low loading height and can carry both my ebikes at once. #yesdeer
Great for that info. I didn't really think about there being racks for bigger bikes, but that does make sense. I was trying to put it on a rack that I've had for a long time but is for "normal sized" road and mountain bike tires. Anyway, thanks for watching!
@@readysetdrone A big mistake I see is ebike riders spending thousands of dollars on their ebikes and then trying to carry them on a cheap Amazon pos bike rack.
It took a while for mine to arrive as well. But hopefully I'll have the assembly video done by the time yours arrives! I think you will enjoy it once you have it up and running!
I ordered this bike about a month ago and it took about 8 days to get to me. They had a sale going on and I got mine with a promo code for $1241. Not bad. I bet since they had this big sale going on, they have run out and are getting more. You'll love it when you get it!
Nice review Kelly 👍🏻 I like the color too!

Thanks for watching. It's a great bike, just very heavy!
@@readysetdrone Wow! Thanks for the reply! I could learn a lot from your video.

Great review, Kelly! I’ve been eyeing this bike. #yesdeer
Thanks! Glad you saw the "hidden hashtag"!

All true!

Glad to hear that. I really want to try out a RAD Power bike some day. Maybe you can bring it to a meetup some time?

Thanks John. The drone shots are the Flywoo Explorer FPV with the O3
Very impressive flying Kelly.
Good review Kelly. Don't see a lot of the electric bikes up here as I guess the cost is restrictive. #yesdeer

Cool one 🤝😎
The laws need to change. 80 pounds isn’t a bicycle. A sensible limit for an e-bike to have bicycle rights would be 40 pounds (60 for tandems).
Great job on the review, looks like a good bike, but can it fly ? lol
I want to try that thing out
Sure thing Kai! Next time you are up in Austin.

Placed an order on 4/21... tracking shows it still hasn't left the factory 🙄

What is the point of fat tires?
Not really sure. They look cool, but this is not really an off road bike, so they are a bit overkill. They do make the ride a bit smoother I supose.
For $1800 id expect them to spend $20-40 more on the transmission.
Agreed.
