    The voice volume is too low, so in my case I have to turn the volume up to like 50% (usually I'm fine at 20-25%), and that's not an issue, but these sound glitches are super loud, and work almost like jump scares :D

    One thing I'd like to know is how many points to put in each skill as you level. Is it good to max them out? Or put 3-5 in some and keep advancing into other things?

    • @Malagant
      @Malagant  7 лет назад +4

      dowddash if it is your main ability and especially aoe, you would like to get done with it asap, in most cases atleast. Otherwise its good to mess around and learn the abilities, especially utility and defensive ones, it is easy to respec so

    So you said multiple reduction in resistances doesn't stack... so in this commando build, does the flash bang reduced defensive ability override blitz's blindside and markovian's def ability reduction? I currently am leveling a witchblade, will olreon's blind rage flat phys reduction compete with break morale's? Also, how do you know what skills are best at what lvl? Like you saying vindictive flame is best at 11. Is going over their normal max rank say of 12/12 to 16/12 bad or good? One thing I always do but may be wrong is pumping a skill to the max and then piling +skills like my D2 days.

    If I have a MI item that adds weapon % to a skill that normally doesn't have it, does that mean life steal now works with that skill? From your explanation I assume any skill that does weapon % can benefit from life steal.

    I'm struggling to understand the Devotion system. I'll need to watch this a few times.

  • @yoshoverse
    @yoshoverse 7 лет назад

    i have a couple of questions and hope you can give me some advice.
    the devotion tree is so incredibly convoluted. pet builds are the only way i want to play. that's any combination of necro, occultist and shaman. so three characters, i guess.
    shepherd's crook seems to be a must. bysmiel's bond seems really good. empty throne for resistances seems strong.
    you said that offense/defense ability is very valuable, so panther too.
    now i'm still missing defense reduction. manticore seems good and there's scorpion too.
    mogdrogen the wolf seems insanely good.
    these seem to be the constellations for every pet build, right?
    any necro combo converts to vitality damage, so typhos should be in there.
    and the bat, to give the skeletons a skill and some more healing.
    now i don't have any defensive constellation skill, though.
    without necro, this seems much easier. i can drop typhos and the bat, since there's no conversion and one less pet.
    that gives me the tortoise for defense and staff of rattosh for a good mix of everything.
    does this seem good or would you make changes?
    another question i have, is how you gauge how many points a skill should get.
    maxing the pets in a pet build seems obvious to me.
    any pet necro takes a lot of points. the skeletons alone take 34 points. rotting fumes and master of death strike me as something i should max too. that's half the skill points already. that's without soul harvest or foul eruption.
    occultist has blood of dreeg and aspect of the guardian, as well as bond of bysmiel and manipulation. cabalist is incredibly point hungry. i don't even know how to spare anything but a single point to activate shepherd's call.
    shaman takes fewer points with heart of the wild, oak skin and emboldening presence. primal bonds is exclusive, so that saves 22 to points for ritualists too.
    what shouldn't i max and why?

    • @TehRegent
      @TehRegent 7 лет назад

      you need to click really much and check what dimnishing returns each skill have. example - Foul Eruption from lvl 1 to 3 gives 3% health reduction, from 4-6 gives 2% and after that i gives you only one percent. With skeletons, you need to decide which type of dmg you want to scale.
      you don't need Manipulation - check Bindings of Bysmiel
      from my experience, you don't want to focus on dmg in your skills and devotions as much.
      summons scale with pet bonuses, not your bonuses - bat is pointless.
      based on your post - i combined this tool: www.grimtools.com/calc/d2jBpwE2 . i'm not experienced GD player, but i have my time on summoners in every ARPG possible (don't like the overpowered state of skellies here tho). In my planned tree, I went for Tree of Life instead of Rattosh.
      I'd say start playing and combine your own build on the run.

    • @yoshoverse
      @yoshoverse 7 лет назад

      thanks. i had hoped there was a rule of thumb when it came to skill point allocation.
      this wasn't actually purely theoretical. i am playing a lvl 76 necro/occultist right now, and i'm struggling on elite.
      www.grimtools.com/calc/lNkBpRbZ
      i'm aware that summons scale with pet bonuses. that's not the point of the bat. skelingtons deal a lot of vitality damage and die a lot. i picked the bat purely for the twin fangs skill. the idea was to make them die less, due to the health conversion.
      i realized soon after posting, that rattosh, the veil warden is incredible. i switched the bat out and gave my skelis will of rattosh instead.
      i don't actually have manipulation right now. i heard very high praises of total speed in another video, so i wanted to incorporate it in my build.
      the seventeen points in the occultist mastery make it very expensive though.
      there's a lazy pokémon build in the forums, which praises CoF&vulnerability. my build doesn't have that skill at all, so i wanted to try that too but i just can't find the points.
      i don't have points in the familiar, because it deals lightning damage and the necro focuses on phys conversion and vitality damage.

    • @TehRegent
      @TehRegent 7 лет назад

      i took Familiar for healing passive only tho.
      CoF and Blood of Dreeg are a bread and butter of taking occultist, imo
      Skorpion and Manticore are pointless in your build, imo. those points can be spend better. Lion gives you more power than Tortoise. Take Empty Throne! It's perfect for you and your summons. Imo, I wouldn't max out blight fiend - you mentioned that you want to deal vit damage with your skellies, so acid and poison doesn't get you anywhere - instead focus on "Generating more threath" one point wonders like Rotting Fumes.
      Hellhound and Bligh Fiend doesn't need to deal dmg, they need to take aggro off of you and skellies.
      Take spectral binding and wrath - minus vit resistance, flat health. You need to take Call of the Grave. You don't have to max CoF - it gives you only radius with levels, but Vulnerability is broken. Mark of Torment is good too - it gives you % dmg absorption.
      Are your resistances capped? Invest in some components. Hmm... that's my sight about your link atm.

    • @TehRegent
      @TehRegent 7 лет назад

      oh, and so you know - later on you'll get gear with +skills in necro and occu, as Mala said, then you will have some points to relocate to other skills.

    • @yoshoverse
      @yoshoverse 7 лет назад

      okay. so i'll max vulnerability and one point CoF. sounds good.
      i am less concerned about the damage of the blight fiend and more about it's survival. i'll try one pointing it for a while and see how that works out.
      maxing rotting fumes sounds really good to me, because it reduces defensive ability. malagant was singing praises about reducing defensive ability in this video.
      i had call the grave maxed before and it's so good. i had to drop it when i picked up aspect of the guardian. aspect of the guardian has a 100% uptime, while call the grave has less than 50%.
      i tried mark of torment and didn't like it at all. it's not my cup of tea.
      i'll give spectral wrath a shot but it really doesn't sound amazing to me. 2 sec CD, 3 sec duration and it only triggers if i get hit. seems sketchy.
      i'm pretty happy with devotions right now.
      scorpion and manticore are there for the resistance and defense reductions, which have been praised to no end on the steam forums.
      i had lion before and haven't noticed dropping it at all.
      i do like the tortoise, because it gives me time to drink a healing potion before i die. i had giant's blood before and died more, even though it supposedly heals more too.
      i had empty throne before and i do miss it. i can't spare the points and i don't need that much purple affinity though. typhos seems non negotiable for vitality damage.
      my resistances are far from capped and the content outleveled me before it noticed too. i might need to level up somewhere, before i head into the necropolis. the land mines on the road obliterate me.
      the problem i have, is that gear is pretty hard to come by. pet stats are my main focus on gear. getting that with resistances and high armor for me is pretty rare.
      components overwhelm me. i really don't know what to pick aside form mark of the traveler and bonds of bysmiel. i'll put some stuff on my gear. it's unusual that it's not wasted while leveling, like in most other games.
      how does this look?
      www.grimtools.com/calc/L2JLD0RZ
      i don't know how coefficients work in this game. i hope bone harvest can trigger shepherd's call reliably.

    Question. If you have for example lighting damage multipliers and you have for example the physical damage convert to Elemental damage. Does the elemental damage counts as a Lighting damage? Or the Elemental damage bonus will apply to the lighting damage to?

    • @Malagant
      @Malagant  7 лет назад

      Sworn You can easly test these things in your char sheet, elemental dmg multis apply to all fire, cold and lightning. Flat increases, spread evenly to three.

    • @rinku5555555
      @rinku5555555 7 лет назад

      It does but 1/3 amount becoz Elemental damage is combination of fire, cold & lighting dmg.

    • @Sworn973
      @Sworn973 7 лет назад

      Ohh so Elemental damage is a combination of all 3. So if I have 10% fire damage increase, if I do Elemental damage it will only gain 3.33%, or if I have elemental damage and gain 20% fire damage will only gain 6.66 increase. Is that right?

    Hello, Thank you for good video Could you guys pick 5 constellations with the biggest stand alone value? I know it may not fit in every build but just general point of view.
    Here is my list. Crab, Tortise, Scales of Ulcame, Harvestman Scythe, Affliction, honorable mention to Spider

    • @danmiy12

      hawk:massive oa boost which helps hitting and crits, reduces cunning for guns which saves so many stat points, 3 pts to cap i take it even if my endgame doesnt need greens..its so good even in the endgame
      solemn watcher: if you reached the req blue to unlock this you can take this to massively improve your bulk and then use the completion bonus to use it elsewhere i can see any build with plenty blue making use of this
      aeon hourglass: changes you completely, makes skills come back much faster and also gives crazy resists to everything and massively boosts the 3 primary stats, once you get this you become a different char but its not needed on all builds but some builds req you to have this meaning ya its that good...many builds fall apart if you skip it
      chariot of the dead:massive oa boost you do so many more crits when this is maxed,the proc gives massive da and heals you...biggest flaw is the devotion cost to max it out or even reach the proc..but more oa and da and a heal is great
      ghoul: really op proc in which you are nearly invincible if attacking, gives some lifesteal, but really its for that proc it saved my life so many times as long as your main move has some weapon damage so you can lifesteal...even some spellcasters can abuse it cause the spell has weapon damage so it counts lifesteal
      good runner ups:
      kraken/hydra: broken op if you use that weapon type massive damage to all damage types if you use that weaopn, no reason to skiip it if you use that...but ya useless if you dont use that weapon type..
      any of the resist down devotion: obv to take for massive damage of your main but since everyone uses different damage types its not the same for all chars...
      sailor guide: very nice bonuses to resist and other things and gives 5 blue for 1 more devotion you get a better ver of the eel...
      anvil: must have if you have a shield, but since most dont have shields well lol not used much but you can get many hammers spinning around late game and aoe things to death just from the blocking proc...

    How does conversion work when Dual-Wielding? Is the conversion global, or per weapon? (Like, if both of my weapons have 20% conversion, do I have 40% conversion, or 20% per weapon?)

    • @Malagant
      @Malagant  7 лет назад

      Sheriff K conversion adds up and happens once, is the easiest explanation. There are some exceptions when only skill dmg is converted from new items and skill transmuters. So in your question 2 weapons with 20 would convert 40 yes, would even take more from components etc
