Just came across your channel. Great setup you guys have. I had a 2500 with a camper on it, but ended up selling it. Your spring break video brought back memories when I lived in Corpus in the 80’s. If you go down to the National Seashore the road will end into the beach, and you should be able to drive about 60 miles until you get to the Mansfield cut. 4x4’s go down there. Gonna start following your channel. Have a great day.
Thanks for watching and commenting. So glad you found our channel! We have another video from the week after this video of our travels to S Padre Island. We didn’t go far enough down to where it was the 4x4 only section, which was a mistake because we got to “enjoy” the festivities of Semana Santa in the section where any vehicle can get out on. Hopefully YT suggested it for you. Thanks for subscribing. Appreciate you taking the time to watch our videos.
The best part of the beach is the other side of the State Park. Way less crowded, and once you hit the national seashore dispersed camping is allowed and insanely remote. Highly recommend.
Thank you for the suggestion Ryan! We’ll be sure to check out the less crowded section. Greatly appreciate you taking the time to watch our video and comment. Happy belated 4th of July!
If you haven't done it yet, check Magnolia beach & Indianola beach free camping, no permit required "yet", higher up on the beach no high tide worries! Be safe!
I’ve heard good things about those beaches. I’m not sure our timeline will allow us to hit those beaches on this trip but next time! Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend
Thanks for noticing our healthy habits! We both used to be in super good shape and ate super clean. Now and days we are trying to drop a few pounds so eating healthy is going to be a big priority
Love Port A I lived there for four years, but I never went to the beach during spring break. Most of the locals know better. I hope you all had a great time.
I don’t blame the locals! We’re back at Port A again and it’s a totally different experience. I like the calmer version better but it was also cool to see the nonsense of spring break 😂 Thanks for watching!
Glad you like the rig!!! Thanks for watching. Depending on your situation you can take off for the beach without retiring. We’re certainly not retired.
