Thanks Jim! I was really trying to bring a cinematic feel to those shots by the river. Lots of heavy zooming in during editing, trying to line up some dramatic music. Glad you enjoyed this weeks video.
@@thecumminscamper 'a cinematic feel'... I love tech-talk. Keep 'em coming. And don't you pay any attention to those 'man-splain' haters. . They are just jealous.
Enjoyed the video, but please do not walk away from a fire saying that while you are aware that you probably did not use enough water, it is wet out and may rain. You were surrounded by snow, grey water and other water sources. Grab a large armful of snow and drop it on the ashes. This video was made about the exact same time there was a large fire at Turquoise Lake, caused by a campfire that was not fully extinguished. As a retired fireman that fought some very large wildland fires here in Colorado, I encourage you to use your platform to teach more responsible behaviors, rather than making cavalier statements. We have to be successful extinguishing our fires every time, the fire only has to be successful once. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
First time viewing... Impressed with your common sense and siding with caution. [However, you say that it has been raining. Have you ever seen a creek/river swell by several feet in a few minutes?] Your sense of Adventure and Rig are the best... You must have a terrific wife. I. I'm retiring. You're living my full-Timing adventure with Simular Rig.
Thanks for the kind words Robert. I agree on your point that I should have been thinking rain+river=rising water. As an east coast boy we don’t get flash floods so I’ll admit, I didn’t think about that. I will in the future. My wife’s amazing. We both have the same love for this lifestyle of fulltime travel and don’t have a desire at all to stop. Hopefully you subscribed so you can catch future videos from us. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks dude! Colorado + Drones = Magic! Looking forward to filming some more banger drone shots while we’re here all summer. Keeps me from having to talk to the camera too much 😂
Thanks Janel! It’s good to be back out in nature. We’ve started our new jobs in CO and it’s in a stunning area where I’ll be able to film some more drone shots! How’s your van life journey going? I forget if you were looking at vans or owned one when we met you at Vanfest
@@thecumminscamper No, I didn’t get one. I’m still car camping. Went to Bahia Honda State Park in Big Pine Key right before the Florida heat wave started. Still in physical therapy with the shattered shoulder from back in October, but eventually I want to get out to the Grand Canyon’s. Congratulations on your jobs! 🏕
Thanks bud! I really appreciate the compliment on the drone footage. The feedback has been super positive on the drone footage so I’ll be sure to keep it up in future vids
Thanks for watching dude! Colorados been great so far. Cold nights and warm days with afternoon cloud cover pretty much everyday. The sand dunes are super cool. Did you visit the hot springs near the dunes? The ones we went to you paid for but it was pretty reasonably priced.
Glad y’all liked the suspenseful music. I was definitely shooting for a cinematic kind of feel and it felt like that music helped achieve that vibe. I gotta get a dash cam so that moose moments are in 4k!! Thanks for watching y’all.
We’re loving Colorado and we’re excited to keep filming some videos of our time here. Those Texas summer temps are going to be rough! Keep a spare central air unit on standby 😂
People that grow up in CO need to go to sea level once in their life at least. You are taking three breaths for one at altitude. Acclimated or not. 21% vs 6% life is easier
DANG THIS IS A GOOD VIDEO! Loved the camping, the suspense, the MOOSE sighting. We’ve seen lots of moose poo but no big beasts yet. Thanks for the shoutout. Sending love to you guys
Thanks friends! Greatly appreciate the positive comments. Can’t wait to see y’all soon. We’re already trying to figure out when we can take a trip to come see ya!
What a cool place to grow up! When we were in Vail we saw our first brown bear, a small one, roaming through our friend’s yard in the heart of town. Pretty cool! OC is a great little town. I love the small town vibe. I love going there to see our friends and the beautiful landscape. Thanks for watching!
Sounds like a great rig! The pop tops have such awesome go anywhere capabilities. We’d love one as a second camper one day if we had some land out west to keep both campers. Thanks for watching and being here!
Great drone shots! Well.......don't hold me in suspense .......how much is a Colorado fishing permit!!! Thanks for the info about camping next to a river in CO. Be safe and have fun !
Glad you enjoyed the drone shots! Colorados landscape is perfect for excessive drone usage 😝 The permit price was $129 for an out of stater. Thanks for the well wishes! Have a great week!
You should use your gray water to put out the fire...its a win /win.. Awesome camp spots...still too cold looking for my blood😂 love the drone shots and the fishing license info...Arizona is ridiculously expensive for out of state as well ..Ohb well, guess we will keep buying fish instead of catching dinner.
My grey waters mixed with my pee since I did away with the urine jug from our composting toilet and routed a hose from the pee outlet down to my shower drain. No more 2 day change out of the pee jug but it also makes the grey water extra nasty. I’m glad I caught a fish to help justify the license. Hope to catch some more fish this summer but everything here is catch and release so no fresh fish for us 😂
Love the drone shots, gives one an idea of the country side 👍🏼. Never camped along a river yet didn't know the 100 ft thing-oops. Love your vids! Thx! 🍻 Ps condo looked very inviting, nice job.
Glad you enjoyed the drone shots. They came out great and I’m so glad i flew the drone a bunch while filming. I never knew about the distance from the river thing but it makes sense. Don’t want humans congregating too close to a water source.
Thanks for watching Ben! Boondockings easier than it looks. Having enough battery, solar, and either a generator or dc-dc charger is the biggest part I’d say. Otherwise you learn as you go like I did with the 100’ rule in conjunction with camping near the water. Still learning everyday. Here is our Amazon store. I should probably include it in the description of these videos! Hey, thanks for the question! Please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already as it really helps us out a lot as a YT channel. The trucks length with the camper on is 25 feet. The dirtbike is 3 more feet making us 28 feet overall length. Height is about 12’4” tall. Width is 8’1” other than the mirrors which are wider.
@@joeblow8206 thankfully a ton of people have rigs there so I blend right in. Probably spent about 20 days there in the last year and a half. Still haven’t had the hoa or any residents complain yet. I’ll be back there again soon to keep doing the opposite of what you’re upset about.
The music while parking by the river was pretty epic. The drone shot of the river was even better then epic!!! Hi M

I double checked it on the National Park Service website for Colorado and it checks out to be correct. The More You Know 💫 😂
