- A lot of people have been asking me about the E-bike in this video. It is the Troxus Explorer. I'll leave a like to the bike; you will be seeing a full review video of it soon.

Earlier this week I was looking at google maps scanning forestry roads when I noticed a few locations that looked like good boondocking spots, so I decided to take a chance. The forest roads were open, but some spots still have snow. The first spot I came to had a fallen tree blocking path. I located 3 campsites in total along the trail. Thanks for following along this weekend and I'll see ya next week.
Funny how you sped up the part where you were breaking up the fire wood. It makes you look like “ the kindling ninja”❤️🇨🇦
Looking back on your camps before Toby I miss him❣️
I love that you at least pick up after inconsiderate campers messes and garbage! 🙏TY
What a gorgeous, peaceful site for a stop.
Had to smile at the end when you thanked all us subscribers, thank you Kenny for inviting us along. Ive enjoyed each and everyone of them!
That's very kind of you Dean. I appreciate the comment!
I would report the mutilated birch trees to the forest and let them remedy the situation.
JUST HAPPEN TO COME ACROSS YOUR VIDEO BY MISTAKE GLAD I DID, I'LL BE WATCHING MANY MORE. I GO CAMPING IN MAINE, SOME DAY I WOULD LIKE TO VENTURE OUT TO DIFFERENT STATES. THE MORE I LEARN THE BETTER. THANK YOU KENNY :)
Spent some time camping in the UP during Covid. Had a great time, campgrounds were empty. But being from California I wasn't used to the limited vistas. Holy cow you guys have a lot of trees!! But ya, had a great time, Michiganders are pretty friendly folks.
Up near Vail Colorado there is a place on the water that has a bunch of Fairy Gardens that people have made, so your weird hanging troll swings may be for a fairy garden. Really enjoyed your video, it’s my first one. 🐾🐾
Thank you so much for leaving a comment. I'm glad you found the channel!
Love the lil troll swing lol how cute. The things ya come across 😂
Nice spot!! We enjoyed you bringing us along. Like your content. Ok time to start mowing. Later. Take care.
Oh yes....its that time of year. I haven't cut the grass yet. I still need to remove all the broken tree branches from this winter.
When I was a kid I rode my mini bike along a very overgrown roadway and came across a demolished bridge. It took about 15 years before I found out it was part of a larger campground that was abandoned 50 years prior. It was never fixed up & reabsorbed by the forest till the 90s
That would be cool to find.
You keep saying we, whose with you?
When I talk to the camera, I imagine the viewer is along for the adventure. So the "we" is whoever is watching and along for the ride.
The best time to go out, pre bug and cold enough to keep most people at home. Moved from Michigan to Colorado and I miss those woods so much. This video takes me back to all the time I’ve spent in northern Michigans woods. I think this video is speaking to me on another level..time to go home. Thank you.
This is an awesome comment. I'm glad the video brought back memories for you.
New subscriber here, and on another level, I understand exactly what you're talkin about about time to go home. I love this state and camping in the Colorado mountains but I am done with Colorado politics after 33 years. Great video!
Tucked away some wear in the up good times
Really enjoyed this vid. I’m an Australian off-grid dweller, and this vid popped up on my feed. I too, like exploring and finding hidden, forgotten areas for a camp. I also had a chuckle, as I’ve been referred to as a Jack of all trades, more times than I’d care to remember. You name it, I’ve done it. And also, my nickname in one previous life of mine, was Kenny!
With that phrase, there is more to it than most people know. So whenever anyone says that to me, I always follow it up with the last line.
“A Jack of all trades, but a master of none….However, far better, than a master of one!”
Cheers,
Rob,Tasmania, Australia
I really apricate you taking the time to watch the video and leave such an awesome comment. Be safe out there!
I enjoyed your video! It reminded me of camping with our 8.5 foot Vacationer cabover camper on a 4X4 Ford truck, we had a lot of fun and went a lot of places with that set up. Thanks for taking us along on your camping trip. This is the only way I can camp now after the stroke(brain aneurism). I'm 79 and watching a lot of things on RUclips I used to be able to do. We were campground hosts until the stroke, loved that job! I'll be looking for more of your videos.
Thanks Dave. Sorry to hear about the health issues. I'll make a deal with you.....if you continue to tune in on Tuesday nights...I'll keep bringing you on my Minnesota adventures.
First time tuning in. Good watch. Thanks.
I appreciate you checking out the video.
Glad I came across your channel man, you seem like a good dude. Looking forward to future camping videos.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. Thanks for the comment!
I enjoyed it. This is the 1st time I've seen one of your episodes pop up. Good job love the outdoors where I spend most of my time as well.
Thanks Gene! I appreciate the comment.
11:19 the true measure of how level your camper is!!! Nice video.
I think about that stuff when I'm recording. I wonder how many people recognize that kind of stuff. lol
@@KennyOfAllTrades Appreciate your work. I'm living vicariously through you and your videos. Your are doing stuff, I never will be able to do. Keep up the great work! Kenny just be you!
I like the added boot cleaning brush setup that you've going there on your steps!
That sure is handy!
Your videos are relaxing, now I go back and rewatch your older ones. You could be a tourist guide for Minnesota with all the off the beaten path places you go and give some history.
Thanks Robert. I really enjoy learning about the history of places. When I was a kid I wanted to be Indiana Jones. I still enjoy learning about the history. It never seemed to take off on the videos so I stopped showing it. Maybe I'll start sneaking in a few tidbits
@@KennyOfAllTrades I live in mn. And I love it when you mention the history of where you are at. I LOVE learning about history.
I will have to start doing that again. I'm really into history as well.
Fellow Truck Camper here and have enjoyed your channel since the beginning. Hoping great things come your way. Cheers!
Very Cool, thanks for following along.
Loved the twig snapping edits! Happy 2 years! Happy 10k subscribers! Love Tuesdays!
Thanks Cory. It takes a little time to edit that together, but I like the way it sounds. lol
Just came across this video. I really enjoyed it. I subscribed and will go back through your videos…well done.
Thank you scott, I really appreciate the compliment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I've said it before and I will say it again! I love Tuesdays! Thanks for all the great content Kenny!
Thanks Roy, I appreciate that.
Oh wow! 2 years!! Congratulations 🥳 love being along for the weekends 😁
It's nice to let the soul relax with the quiet sounds of nature. Thanks for watching.
Thank you I am handicapped and I enjoy the videos. I especially like the snow and cold videos or the rain. Thank you.
Thank you for leaving a comment LeAnn. I appreciate that!
Kenny, first I'd like to congratulate you on enticing me to contribute my first ever comment on RUclips. Second, I've had experience with Henry's tropi-cool as a maintenance man and it will work great as a sealant, but i feel it would not hold up well to scratches, scrapes, and hard pokes. Keep doing what you're doing, and thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
Thsnks you for the comment. I really appreciate hearing from someone with real life experiences using the product.
Kenny! Love your videos.. You’re helping me slowly get the wife interested! Hope to experience some of your adventures on my own!
Thanks for leaving things better than you found them! I was in the Redwoods one time when the big winds came up, those limbs tend to snap and impale themselves into the ground.
Thanks for watching Bob!
Your not a goof and really enjoy your calm videos. I need that for myself. It helps me if that helps you. I look forward to Tuesday! Please keep going. Thank you Kenny.
Thanks you Jeff! I love that you find my videos calming.
Awesome video! Funny little troll tire swing…. Loved the drone shots that you could see Lake Superior. I can’t wait to head to the north shore. My happy place!! Great job eating the veggies I sent. ;).
I wonder how many people will realize that's a lake in the background....not clouds.
Hello from the sunny quiet Ozarks Kenny! Another video of value! tight lines and bent poles!
I’m borrowing a friend’s truck/truck camper tomorrow for a long weekend near Ashland WI. I need a step like yours! Oh well, my little aluminum step ladder will have to do for now. I’m very excited!
Have fun, enjoy the travels, and be safe!
They’re taking birch bark for fires.
Nice forest
Nice Rig
Thanks for watching Donnan! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend and be safe.
You're welcome on the 10,000 Kenny! You're doing it right, please keep doing it.
Thanks Doug!
Love all of your videos, I feel like I am camping with you. Love your positive attitude and you love of nature.
This is an awesome compliment. Thanks
Totally enjoy your videos. You're one of the most honest and purest camping channels I've found. I love your content every week. I'm betting it won't be long and you'll have 100k subscribers. Thanks for sharing Kenny, can't wait until next week and I'm going to try cooking those burgers, they look delicious. 👍
Thanks Randy. I really appreciate that.
I saw a comment about you having a Mr. Rogers going camping vibe to your videos. Spot on.
Loved the cute Faerie House with swing. Some child had fun making it or adult! I remember making those when my grand kids were little❣️
For whatever reason, the Tube of Yous recommended your channel, and I’m so stoked!
And the ASMR of you breaking kindling was just so satisfying…😀
I'm glad you found the channel!
Starlink would be your answer to having connectivity. Luv mine.
That would be cool. I had to drop my internet service a few months ago. I only use my hot spot now. But when I do get internet again, I'll be looking at Starlink.
I like outdoor stuff so thought I'd subscribe. Nice big truck and camper. Wonder if you think it's too big. Nice bike too. Thanks for the content. See you next time. From Central Oklahoma
Thanks! The idea behind the channel is having weekend adventures. I'm not a full-time RUclipsr, I' work Monday - Friday, then go camping on the weekends. I post my adventures every Tuesday. So far, I've only missed a couple of weekends. It dosrnt matter if it's -40 or 105 degrees. I'm making a video.
And so far, I've never needed a smaller camper. I have taken this camper on trails people wouldn't take an empty truck on. Im not easy on the setup, and I love having a four star hotel in the bed of my truck.
Okay the first thing you do is get out the hammock. Next t thing is a pillow an a really good book !!!!
Great video as always Kenny! 😊 and CONGRATULATIONS!
Thanks!!
Thank you for your video, it was most enjoyed.
Thanks Victoria
Cream cheese! No way that could be bad! Thanks for the great idea.
Great minds think alike!
technically your Glamping , but it doesnt matter, youre doing you, and doing what you love...... and your doing what most of us wish we could do! ... Safe Travels! Camp on!
You found Snap, Crackle and Pop's tire swing! Awesome campsite, too bad some scumbags marred up all those trees. Some peoples' kids I guess.
I was thinking the same thing. I could see a board 13-year-old swinging at the tree. That is what happens when there no internet I guess.
Your camper is my goal, thank you for the uploads!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. My camper is 20 years old, I've had it going on 7 years now. I try to spend every weekend in it.
Love the tone and slow pace of the videos! Wish we had the same access to free camping on the east coast.
Thank you for the compliment.
Love this video! Just subscribed...I want to see more!! I will be binge watching. Love that bike too. Love the location...Very very peaceful.
Thanks I appreciate that! I'm glad you found the channel.
I love watching your videos each Tuesday... Thanks again for bringing your fans along.
Thanks John. I love to hear that people enjoy these little adventures..
Just found your channel Kenny and I must say, Take me with you!!! Please!! LOL. It looks so comforting and relaxing.
Hay Lisa, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was a super peaceful weekend. I hope I can find another empty forest for Saturday! You will have to check back on Tuesday to see where we end up.
First time watching ..looks really nice out there ..enjoy 🤠🌲
Thanks for watching Matt
Great vid. Thanks. That paved part you were riding on looks a little like the Sawbill Trail, especially the pull-off by the overlook. I love Superior National Forest.
Superior National Forest is awesome! I've been exploring it for about 10 years now and I'm still finding new spots.
Just found this channel and I love how wholesome it is. This is great! Just subscribed! I love how modern camping has become. Makes it more accessible to many more people.
I agree. I get a lot of comments from people telling me that I should just stay home and sit on my couch because i have a nice camper.. I don't get it... the camper is twenty years old. Plus, having a nice camper makes spending two days off work in the middle of the forest enjoyable. If I was set up in a tent, I would stay home when it's 40 below zero or 100 degrees. But instead, almost every weekend for over two years, I have been in the camper.
Just found your channel. My favorite part of the state to explore as well. Thanks for a great video.
Thanks Nick, I appreciate the comment!
Thanks for another great video Kenny - I always enjoy hanging out with you.
I appreciate you tagging along.
Great find!
Your setup looks like it makes for some comfortable camping adventures.
Thanks!
I so wish I could go camping but no one around me goes..it looks so peaceful and as an executive, the thought of no cell service is divine
It was so nice to unplug for the weekend! Thanks for watching.
What's stopping you from going camping alone? A lot of the time it's more enjoyable camping alone.
@@alk3078 I’m ignorant to camping for the most part
It's ok. We all start somewhere. My suggestion would be to first try a Sate Park. There's usually like-minded people camping looking to relax.
Always bring a chainsaw when traveling on Forest Roads. Saved me more than once.
I've taken down some pretty big logs with the Sawzall. No doubt a chain saw would work much better.
I bought an electric chain saw stores nicely anywhere with no smell cuts all the firewood I need for a week on a single charge
@@KennyOfAllTrades did you see that deadfall? I don’t know if that’s a tree that you want to take on unless you really need to get past it.
If it was all the way on the ground, that would be one thing.
I really like that you tidy up the campsite. Important to keep Nature natural. Kenny, let us know: In Canada, when you are at a private or public campground do you bring in your own campfire wood or do you have permission to glean downfalls, say like, one tree per site per visit?
Carne! You got it. Thumbs up 👍🏼!
Oh, I'm not in Canada, I just have a heavy Minnesota accent....or so I've been told. To be fair, I was about 60 miles from Canada. Thankfully, in Minnesota, we can forage dead and downed trees everywhere but State Parks.
Hi Kenny, thanks for sharing your weekend.
I think it was opening fishing this weekend in Minnesota.
As far as your generator goes, there’s a spring on your choke that you may want to check.
Ill have to look at that. I did not see a spring disconnected, but it may have fallen off completely. Ill have to see if I can find a diagram of the carb linkages.
I'm a "Troll" but I love to visit the U.P. Some beautiful places to camp up there! Those burgers sound delicious - have to try that some time...
I made it up to Michigan 2 summers ago. It was beautiful. I took a few days off and made a road trip out of it. I stayed in Wisconsin and spent a few nights on the edge of Lake Superior at a place called High Rock in Copper Harbor. I found a remote camping spot down miles of forestry trails. I met a few guys trying to get their Subaru's back there. They turned around, but I pushed through. It was sooooo awesome. I woke up to barges passing between me and a light house. I would love to go back. Those first few videos were fun, but never got many views. .
I love these videos from in the woods, Kenny. I've been on this journey with you for maybe the last 6 months. Enjoying it massively. Congrats on hittin 10K, brother. 🎉
Thanks!
You thank us for watching your videos, BUT it is more correct to say is: THANK YOU for sharing with us you adventures... (from Brazil)
I appreciate that
Thanks for the video! I just picked up a truck camper for my Duramax last week. I am in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have a few spots I am going to check out this weekend.
Awesome! Have Fun and be safe!!
I used Henry Tropicool 887 coupled with Henry 885 to coat my roof about 1 year ago and like it so far. I did a lot of research and spoke to some knowledgeable people that have used multiple products prior to choosing 887/885. One note: once you go with silicone coating, you cannot use anything else. Hope this helps and keep up the great videos.
PS: Nice to hear spring warbler songs during your walk.
Thanks for the info Jay. I'll give you a call before I buy anything. I know you are like me; we do a ton of research before buying a product. You will have to fill me in on what you learned.
Great video and amazing location!
Thanks Aaron!
I can almost smell those yummy burgers.
I enjoy hearing all the nature sounds. 55, what perfect temperatures.
Oh my, what a perfect video. Honestly I would’ve changed sites after seeing those trees. Why would people just decide to kill trees for no reason? People are truly weird. Thank u sir for being a positive force cos u do help tip d scale back in d positive direction. Thank u sir !!!
Thank you, I really appreciate that. 🙏
Congratulations!!!!!! Hears to ten thousand more!
Thanks!
🎉Happy 2 year anniversary! 🎊 And congratulations on 10,000 subscribers!
Thank you!
Loved this location. Congratulations on 10k. You needed Foresty Forest's chain saw for this one to clear out some of those roads and trails.😀
I'm gonna have to seriously think about a real saw. Thanks for watching.
Another great video! And that was an awesome campsite, and we are going to have try those burgers. Thanks for taking the time to share and God bless 💜
Thanks! The burgers were awesome. Have a wonderful week!
A very nice video. Thank you. Appreciate how well put together.
Looks like sasquatch had the dirt roads blocked a couple of times so no one can get through, that's the big boys pushing them big tree's down...❤❤❤
Be careful! Out there I would not go alone anywhere don't take any trip without company and don't take anything for granted
Thanks Harold. I appreciate your comment. We do live in a crazy world.
Hey, Kenny. Thanks for the vacation. Your videos are so relaxing. Seems like I'm right there. Keep up the great work and enjoy.
Kenny, congrats on your huge milestones. Well deserved 👍🏼 Thank you so much for sharing your videos. Always look forward to Tuesdays for new content.
Thanks Mike
These types of camp sites are EVERY where here in Oregon. You'd love it!
I would LOVE THAT! My Dad was from Oregon. He always talked about going back and showing us kids where he grew up and went to high school. He would tell us stories of working the cattle on horse back in the 60s. Unfortunately, dad passed away two and a half years ago. We never made it over there. One day, I'll bring my kids to show them where Grandpa grew up.
Yeah, that was a troll swing you found😁
I like your burger recipes 😋 They looked filling!
And congrats on 10k! 🎉🥳 Way to go!
Thanks!
I enjoy watching your travels into the back country. With our 5th wheel we do more glampin then campin but its all in getting out in nature.
I agree Duane. I always get a few comments saying that what I'm doing isn't really camping because of my Truck Camper. People even say I should just stay home and sit on the couch. I, like you, think it's about getting out to nature and taking in the fresh air. Just because were not laying on the ground in a tent doesn't mean were not camping.
Within the first 5 minutes I was hooked to your channel. The wife and I used Henry's for our travel trailer and it looked amazing and gave us piece of mind knowing our roof was now protected.
Thank you for the kind words. I read a lot of great reviews on Henry's. It looks to be a quality product.
Keep up the great work, Man!
Thanks Martin
Kenny congrats on the 10k you so deserve it. Love your campsite this week. You will definitely be getting alot more viewers. As said before your honest and true. Holy buckets,be kind, and be honest. 😊
Thanks Lynn, I apricate the kind words!
First time I've watched you ...enjoyed the video. What kind of bike were you riding?
Getting ready to hit the road myself, can't wait to do a little hiking.
That bike is called the Troxus Explorer. I really like it. I have a folding ebike as well. Both are nice but the Troxus feels like a mountain bike. It's more comfortable than a folding bike. On the folding bike, I sit in a heads-up position over the front tire. It's not bad, it just feels different than a standard bike.
Thx for the quick reply

I appreciate that Steve. Thanks for leaving a comment. It really helps with RUclips suggesting the videos to others.
We did our 36'TT with Henry s 8 months ago . holding up good and 5-10 degrees cooler inside
Awesome! The cooler temperatures would definitely be a huge positive.
Great video Kenny. I look forward to them.
You don't look like you weigh that much😮.
10,000 subscribers...I'm not surprised and you shouldn't be either. Your videos are very well done and entertaining. I have my family watch you as well. Hope to see more fishing and hopefully you will catch a mess of fish to grill.😊
Have an awesome week.
Oh thanks Dianne. That was very kind of you. I carry my weight well. lol
This summer I'll catch a fish for the grill, that's a promise!
Congratulations Kenny,I enjoy watching your videos. I look forward every Tuesday to watch your adventures. Keep up the good work and that is cool how you explain your products 👍
Thanks Danny! I appreciate that.
These are the kind of camping videos I like. Most of the videos you see now are how to and don’t do this and 10 ways to set up your camp. How to change a flat and so on !
This was a lot of fun to watch! Thank you.
That's an awesome comment. Thanks!
You've come far Pilgrim. I have been at it since 2009 and still have to learn with the RUclips channel here
It's definitely a learning process!

Thank you!
Thanks Kenny for bringing us along!
Congratulations on two years and ten thousand subscribers. You have earned it with your quality video's sharing your camp with us.
The troll swing got me thinking of the mouse from "The Green Mile" LOL maybe a mouse was in training for the "mouse circus" Loved that movie, before becoming a Deputy I did a couple of years in the Jail Div. The antics in the Green Mile reminded me of a bunch of the characters we had. We had locals, INS, USMS Federal Detainees. Made quite a few "deliveries" to Con-Air on their way to Oakie City.
Look forward to your video every Tuesday.
Thank you Richard! I always appreciate your generosity!
Hi Richard, I love the Green Mile movie also. One of my favorites. I hope you are doing well. Thanks for being one of Kenny’s biggest supporters.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Glad to do it Kenny! I hope it helps in some small way.
@@mandib757 Thanks Mandi, I hope it helps Kenny to get something he wouldn't get on his own. At least help with the Diesel expense.
I don't know how many characters(being kind) like "Wild Bill" we had. Our County Jail usually had a pop of 120 men & women......quite a cast of characters! A good weird, warped sense of humor was a must.
