  • And you thought you needed to be a millionaire to live on the beach!
    We already purchased our annual beach pass for $12 when we visited Port A in March 2022, so this time around in December, camping on the beach was free!
    Port Aransas is the coolest little beach town you’ve probably never heard of, located on the Gulf of Mexico, neighboring Mustang Island, and only 30 minutes from Corpus Christi.
    Boondocking on the beach is a whirlwind! How will our solar panels/lithium batteries perform? Will we run out of fresh water? What is there to do in this small Texas coastal town?
    We appreciate you for tuning in! ♥️ We love this crazy #rvlife and we love taking you along on this journey with us 🛻🚐

    You will need a generator once in a while no matter your set-up.
    Good video.
    Good luck and be very careful in Mexico.

    In this video are you using the wet 100 AH battery with 1 battery I saw your install solar video so if you are doing all that on one battery that’s impressive 😎

    You should invest in a mini turbine .. have one I built a mount for on the tongue of trailer with quick connects for electrical and mounting .. always have full batteries especially on that beach lol

    The beach camping algorithm brought me to your channel a couple of days ago. Mean time I watched a few more of your videos. Anyway, I was just wondering how you guys got around the 3 night rule at Port Aransas??

    WE DID PORT A THIS PAST WINTER. THE WEATHER WAS UNKIND. THE WIND WAS SO HORRIBLE IT DROWNED OUT THE NOISE FROM OUR GENERATOR. WE PACKED IT UP AFTER ONE NITE AND WENT TO BOLIVAR PENINSULA AND VISITED GALVESTON.

    You also need bigger, solar controllers I get down 50 to 60% every night and at 100% by 230 in afternoon I’m currently in Arizona days are very short and I still get back to 100. What amp is your solar controller? I have the capability of doing 80 Amps plus with my generator I can also charged at 100 Amps so actuality I have the capability of charging at 180 amps

    Tilting your solar panels to the south will give you about 25% more watts from your panels

    you need more solar. I have 1600watts and 900ah of lifepo4 batteries and I could use at least 2400watts of solar and maybe another 300ah. Of battery. Slowly build your system mine has been a 2 year project. But almost complet have fun.

    Is the lithium battery capable of running your A/C??

    • @MikeAsh
      @MikeAsh  Год назад

      It could be if we wired it that way. But it probably wouldn’t last very long. We don’t have them wired to run the A/C because our solar/battery setup isn’t large enough
