The supernatural monsters always have a fun feel to their horrors, but the human ones.... have a real disgust factor to them. And the villains of this tale are no exception....
@@poomop3750 Idk. I think humans end up being generic too. A lot of monsters in stories are pretty unique, but the human antagonists tend to be more cliche in my opinion. And with a monster it's scary because it's something otherworldly that doesn't really exist. Stories like this are usually a bit more anger inducing than fear inducing. Again, just my opinion tho. There are definitely some really good stories with human antagonists, they just tend to be based off of others more often than not.
@danielthemaniel7934 See thats the thing with monsters, you can only have so many "the creature had 4 arms and was starving covered in blood and screaming" type creatures before it gets old. Would it be scary to be in that situation? Heck yes it would be. But is it scary to read or listen to? Not really in my opinion. Having a young daughter situation like this keeps me awake at night. My fear turns to anger. There are men capable of this everywhere, women just don't understand how dangerous men can be. This one was really hard to get through, but in a good way. Very well written with a mostly satisfying ending (I kinda wish the dudes had each suffered much more). However, still a great story and narration. Thank you as always!!
Its a very sad fact that a huge percentage of women & girls have experienced some form of sexual assault at some time in their lives, myself included. Most do not report it. This story was exceptionally well written and as always... narrated to perfection. Thanks, Doc 💜

My brother and I were driving in the Nevada desert when we came upon a car wreck, two cars tangled together and people sitting in the dark on the side of the road. We had to drive miles to get them help and it’s pretty barren out there, we both have that surreal feeling about it like it was a dream 28 years later.
Thank you Good Doc! I can handle stories like this one as long as little children are not involved. Really enjoy the longer stories like this as they are great to fall asleep to. ❤
I’ll make a note to everyone: if you ever find yourself in a kidnapping situation, and have any access to the driver, do all you can to wreck the vehicle. Kick the transmission shifter, steering wheel, anything that makes the vehicle go wild. Do Whatever it takes. And if/when you crash, it’s always going to be better than what was coming.
It wasn't bad by any means, it's just I listen to these stories for paranormal and super-natural content. This was basically "Last House on the Left" and "I Spit on Your Grave." Unfortunately by the time I realized this I was aldready in to deep.
I’ve been alive a long long time - too long some might argue - and I’ve had cars break down on the side of the road more times than I’d care to guess. Please give a more specific warning like others have said. This is less domestic violence and more sexual assault and battery. I was not prepared at all for this one and could not finish it.
This kind of story boils my blood. Me and some close friends stumbled across a scenario like this but we ended up stopping it....the good old fashioned way. Luckily we stopped it before either of the girls were fully...well you know. I do often think about how that situation would have gone if we hadn't gotten there when we did. Small town police didn't even detain us for whooping those guys a$$es.
I’ve heard this story before from one of the many horror stories channels. Except hearing what you thought about this is something I was curious to hear.
Stories like this make me somewhat irrationally angry, I know it’s a fictional story but I still get this feeling of rage not being able to kick the shit outta the frat boys for suck acts. I may need a therapist. Lol
Wow…she went really off the rails!!! I can see why you don’t do them very often, however it was a phenomenal tale with great narration as always. She truly let her inner demon take hold of that situation
Such a shame Peter never stood up for himself and the girls despite having many windows opened. He was young and confused but was old enough to make his own decisions. He lived as Keaton's slave and would die as Keaton's slave.
I understand the need for a content warning but I will say that, in my opinion, horror is at its best when it's still able to disturb you. I'm not talking about SHOCK factor like Hollywood does with gore and trying to pass it off as horror, I mean genuinely disturbed or creeped out. When I was listening to this story I just imagined the absolute hopelessness those girls felt. They had no choice but to climb into that creepy car hoping for help and as the story plays out you are on the edge of your seat knowing what's coming but hoping it doesn't. I could feel their hopelessness the whole story and it had me genuinely disturbed and creeped out, that is what I consider good horror writing.
This one is more realistic than the usual (in that vile, opportunistic predators take advantage of people in tough situations) but the attempt at a slight supernatural ending was out of place. Not much fun, but the narration itself was excellent as always!
But it wasn't actually supernatural. He wouldn't have died if he were actually some evil spirit. He was just a not-quite-dead-yet evil human. His voice sounded demonic because of the liquid in his throat and mouth and his vocal chords being severed.
There is NOTHING _"domestic violence"_ about this, it's flat out *murderous assault* by deranged psychopaths. Conflating the two helps the psychopaths out IMMENSELY.
I’m only at 23:46 and my blood pressure is going sky high. I’m going to have to take a break for a bit and calm down. These types I have purposely gone after to teach them that they cannot do this shit. And then showed them why. Consequences can come in so many ways…
You were right Dr., I can’t listen anymore. I suppose as it’s had such a profound effect on me that it is well written. Like an actor who plays a role so well that you end up hating the actor and not the character. It’s just blood boiling.
