The ending shot with you holding the trophy in your hands brought tears to my eyes! Congratulations to the entire team for contributing to this championship, and for doing so through 10 matches!
Thank you! This was an emotional match for me to play in too, and a tough journey for our team to win the whole thing. So grateful for all of you for following me on this journey and for our amazing teammates
Not sure if anyone else noticed but if you go to 5:05 Coach Donny was on his toes and ready. You all work well together and that’s what a team is all about. Knowing each player individually and working together to win together. Great game guys!!
I know the sentiment will be the csun players carried. But the Lib played insane as well. And Donny was extremely efficient and clutch on offense on low volume which as an outside hitter is very very difficult to stay locked in when your right side is being fed 50% of the balls. From experience when you only are set once or twice per rotation it's very hard to find your rythym, timing and confidence. So Donny going 5/6 on attacks was clutch as hell. Very crafty points. Donny served solidly and was excellent on defense as well. Every tall ones player stepped up and played their role. Well deserved TEAM win. Cant wait to see the post championship vlog.
Dude I need another angle of Donny running a celebration lap after the game. What a feeling that must have been! Awesome game and tournament performance; everyone played so solidly despite pressure. Congratulations!!! Been following Tall Ones since USAV Nationals 2019
Let's gooooo! What a tourney. The CSUN players definitely held their own and the rest of the team killed it as well. Good blocks, good serves, so many good touches by the libero, over all just amazing games.
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial I thought everyone played up for sure. It looked like ya'll were playing with more confidence, even when you were down in points. It's been an awesome series to watch. Congrats, and did you win anything?
Everyone's talking about #98, but #97 was the glue of the team. Donny is the backbone ofc - absolutely well-deserved and congrats for all those years of hardwork, a Hinata IRL!!
I felt all the emotions with you Coach Donny! Congrats and great to see you guys get over the hump. Can’t wait to see all the behind the scenes work you guys put in. Definitely interested in how the chemistry was developed and how much you guys put in to get it together. Congrats on winning again and looking forward to seeing you guys defend next year!
Hi Coach, been watching and part of the channel for 10 years now. Congratulations on the win, and dang that is A level? I can’t even imagine AAA or Open.
Who knew all it took was recruiting two national level hitters to win a championship lol. In all seriousness though I’m really proud of Donny for finally winning it and actually playing as an outside.
Congrats to you Coach and the team! We know how hard you guys have worked and had the desire to do well, and it's great to see that result in a championship. Savour it and onwards to the next challenge! 😁
Congrats Donny and team The Tall Ones! You have made such a progress over the years, despite different configurations with players, injuries and what not - things which are often independent of us. It's such a pleasure to see how your team has overcome different obstacles and reached so high! :) I really respect your personal aproach to sport, and I'm assuming to life as well, to be consistent, patient and set on reaching different goals step by step. It was a great match to watch! Also nice to see Ryan, one of the former setters of Tall Ones (I hope I remembered his name right 😛) to have played not a small role in the score. You have made quite a few points when he was serving. I wish you all the best in the upcoming years! Greetings from Poland :)
🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations! It means a lot for you, it shows. Hard work payed out. Good team performance, especially the setter and diagonal made life very difficult for the opponents outsides. Also the subs played a roll. Some opponents errors to add also. Must have been very frustrating for the opponents, all the block tooling….😂
@@davidlim7405 kills 1 error on six attempts in a two set match.... Not bad, but shows that he is virtually not part of the offense at all... Opponents had 13 unforced errors as well. Aka the opponents scored almost triple the amount of points for Tall One's that Donny did. Hes a decend defender and good passer, but he can be as positive abt his skills as an outside as he wants- doesnt change the fact that he isnt good at the position and got carried lmao
Such a stupid comment. Yes the rightside got the majority of their points but a) Donny is the captain and leader b) he was extremely efficient in his attacking c) hes extremely reliable defensively and on service. You said he has 5 points on 6 attempts? Well if opponents had 13 errors that leaves 37 points that Tall Ones scored. 37/5 attackers is roughly 7 points per hitter if divided equally. Take away a few block and setter dumps and some substitute points and your looking at roughly 6 points per attacker. So yes the csun players were insane, but Donny by no means got "carried". He was very very slightly below avg in expected attacking volume, but more than made up for in extreme attacking efficiency, excellent defense, solid serving and vocal leadership. Being on a team means playing a role and donny wasnt needed as the high volume attacker in this team. Think of Jrue Holiday on the celtics. Clutch offense when they need it, veteran leadership, excellent defense and utility...
@@davidc3534 Valid points, but i'll counter with this: have you looked at Donny's results in past USAV nationals compared to this one? He did significantly worse in the past compared to this year. And what was the difference? hmmm MAYBE it was the three CSUN guys he got ot play, one of which was a significantly better setter than anyone he's played with the past and a starting NCAA oppo who can take a high volume of swings. If that doesn't show he got carried by the talent of those guys idk what does lmao

Yea! Brandt passed amazing this game! Thanks for recognizing him
@@ElevateYourselfOfficial also Brandt has a surprisingly efficient serve, he usually serves at least twice per rotation.

Brandt played amazing all tournament. CSUN players obviously great but he made it so easy for them
Yes! Brandt played his best game in the finals, with super solid serve receive.
Congratulations Coach, your tutorials help me a lot.
Constable has a great feel for when to use the setter dump
He's so deceptive too. Amazing setter
For sure. He came up with big plays in all the massive moments this tourney

Your lib is serving!???
USA Volleyball rules allow the libero to serve, while international (FIVB) rules do not.
“Don’t serve the libero 😒”
Video disliked. 😤 Match didn't end with a Donny tool. Unwatchable.
😄
Mad funny watching you celebrate donny 😂😂😂 you didnt do anything lmao, just got carried by the right side and opponent errors
