@@blueiron_yt just luck and weak competition at Asia, even in VNL they played against the weakest team in the Quarter Finals and semifinals however the other side was France, Brazil 🇧🇷, Poland 🇵🇱 and Italy 🇮🇹, they crushed each other, and as you can see the final against France was one side game, France 🇫🇷 did not even played that hard to crush them!
I admire the level of competition of both teams, but it is so amazing how France manages to stop the speed and pace of the Japanese team. In addition, the crowd is against them, but they have shown how truly good it is to have the spirit of an Olympic champion. That is the balance of the players that made them champions this year. They reached the finals this year. They cannot be that far off from these teams in terms of capability to win. In any case i am here to celebrate japan's achievements despite the odds stacked against them. They made me love the sport of volleyball all over again.
@@drjowjow Japan are more than capable. All of the sets here were incredibly close. They lost 23-25 *three* times. Last year bronze, this year silver - they're only getting better

Japan's mentality and fighting spirit are beyond what I imagine. Though physically the look smaller than French players, they showed France that they are a tough opponent.
I don't think it is a physical issue after all. Couple of players are over 200cm tall, Yuki and Nishida are the prime example of strength. It is about experience and this is an area Asian use to absorb very quickly and one day become champions. Next year gold medals contestant surely. Every team have its physical disadvantage attributes, most importantly confidence level play a huge role

It was the final from 3:00 in the morning Japan time, and I watched it on TV. France was strong, but they still took 23 points in all the sets they lost! I hope they get a good rest from here until the Olympics. It was a back-and-forth battle, a clash of skill and technique, a match that made me think that volleyball is fun!
Team Japan is getting better and better, they learn from every match and I believe that eventually they will reach the top! Sadly, not this year at the VNL, but maybe at the olympics! Congratulations to France, they are still the team to beat! Great volleyball!

This was a fantastic achievement by Japan. They definitely deserved to be in the final and gave France a good run for their money. I had started feeling far from everything but watching Japanese team play has brought me back to life . France has a lot of pressure now heading to Paris Olympics - VNL 2024 Champions and Tokyo Olympics Champions. They really did turn things around, from starting the tournament in a not so good fashion and now winning the championships. Great morale boost to them come the Paris Olympics. They were far better in 2022 with full Olympic team . Without Ngapeth it’s not really the same thing .

Japan's mentality and fighting spirit are beyond what I imagine. Though physically the look smaller than French players, they showed France that they are a tough opponent.

It's not easy for Asian Team to make this far duo to physical disadvantage (Hight, Weight, Strength). Thank to Japan. You guys are the pride of Asia.
I don't think it is a physical issue after all. Couple of players are over 200cm tall, Yuki and Nishida are the prime example of strength. It is about experience and this is an area Asian use to absorb very quickly and one day become champions. Next year gold medals contestant surely. Every team have its physical disadvantage attributes, most importantly confidence level play a huge role

It was the final from 3:00 in the morning Japan time, and I watched it on TV.
France was strong, but they still took 23 points in all the sets they lost!
I hope they get a good rest from here until the Olympics.
It was a back-and-forth battle, a clash of skill and technique, a match that made me think that volleyball is fun!
Team Japan is getting better and better, they learn from every match and I believe that eventually they will reach the top! Sadly, not this year at the VNL, but maybe at the olympics!
