The shadow of the ball is not a thing in volleyball. I believe it is a thing in soccer, which is where the confusion stems from, but in volleyball the physical area of the ball must make physical contact with the line for it to be in.
Per FIVB rules, the ball is in if it is touching the ground within the opposing team's court, including the boundary line. The ball is out when all parts of the ball WHICH ARE IN CONTACT WITH THE FLOOR are outside the boundary lines.
I'm not saying those balls were out though, they were def in cause the ball was physically on the line, but just in the future if anyone tries to make the "shadow" argument to you, you can let them know per FIVB official rules that is not how it works.

what does it mean to be keying someone?
It means the other team's defence is focusing their blocks on a certain player in an attempt to shut them down or remove them as a viable option for scoring. Usually happens when someone is playing really well.
