I can tell you the cuban team back at home is training with bad quality shoes, poor nutrition, holes in the floor of their gym that they just have to live with and train around, no AC ( Forget about that, too expensive for the sports federation) a miserable salary, and more conditions that are not adequate for the sport. Anyways I am proud they came this close against Japan. I wonder what this team could do if they actually had good training conditions to develop themselves.
I miss the old womens team from the 90's - mireya luis, costa, carvajal, torres, regla bell, ruiz. Omg those bunch were just unbeatable. I duno wat happened after their 3rd srraight olympic gold medal for them to disappear into it oblivion. But im really hoping they would someday go back to the limelight.
