Stunning, simply stunning!!!!
Thank you. It’s pretty cool out there!
This is “oaf-er” pass outside of “You-ray”
Just love the new intro and song! And, of course, the rest of the video! Y'all are getting better and better! Bravo. Greetings from the island of Chios/Hios in the Aegean Sea in Greece.
Thanks Evan! Hope you are doing well!
Love the videos but you gotta lost the names of the awesome music you always have 🥰
Thanks! Miss you guys!
We have run Ophir Pass several times in both directions in our Jeep JKU. Nice drive and not that bad. We even did it 1 year in our Chevy 4x4 truck with 6 in of snow on the ground from Ophir to Silverton. There was a huge aspen across the road above Ophir. I cut it part way in half then used a tow strap to snap it the rest of the way and move it enough to get thru.... Fun trip...
Yes brother Brad. Love the new intro song and video
Thanks!
Excellent job with this video
Thanks!
Great videos did you change to a Jeep gladiator one of your videos it looked like you were driving a gladiator as always thank you have a great safe rest of the year
That looks like a nice easy trail I could do in my AT4!! Thanks for another great video!!
amazing photography :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing content Brad! Have you ever felt the need for proper locking differentials while off-roading WK2? Are locking diffs really necessary for overlanding or will e-LSD suffice? WK2 looks like the perfect overlanding rig for me but I'm just not sure enough if I can hang around with other serious overlanding rigs on tricky trails? Your opinion?
The Biggest limitations to this platform are the ground clearance and then the front active braking differential. That being said we have more ground clearance at this point than a stock wrangler rubicon. And the active brake lock differential only struggles if you don't have any real traction on the rear. Like in rock crawling. If your goal is to do only serious off roading (rock Crawling, mud) I would look at a different platform. But I think does very well for Overlanding. even on tricky trails.
Awesome video! Ophir and Imogene are on the list now. Question: I have a 2021 JGC Hemi. Have you ever come close to running out of gas on any trail and/or needed extra gas?
Nope. We usually fill up before. Generally we use about a quarter of a tank though. Obviously it varies based on length
Def will be doing this when I go back to Ouray. Loved it out there. Was at Shelf Lake for a overnighter and hiking up to the lake it is so crazy there is still snow up there in July. Such a Crazy thing to see.
It sure is! The lakes at altitude were so cool to see.
It's not the Rubicon, but the views are still stunning. I'm hoping to get out to Colorado from the Northeast at some point, all these passes are on my list.
It's worth the trip!
G'day Brad, how did you manage to keep the drone up so high on such a windy day? Had any wind speed alerts?
No wind issues. We have the mavic air 2s. Also had the mavic zoom 2. Both good
I like the opening music, the drone video, and a track that I might be able to do!
Glad you liked it!
Must have just missed you guys! Ran this heading East on 7/15. Great video.
I really like watching all your videos. I especially like the long beautiful intro from this video. But what happend with the compression? Destroys the great footage, doesn't it?
Thanks for the feedback. I checked the footage. I sometimes have to go into options and tell it to run 1080p. It often runs it at a lower resolution. I am excited to say that we are going to start trying some 4 k footage out. We now have a computer that can handle the data. Look for that coming up in the Moab videos
@@ProdigalOverland really? 4k? That's awesome.
Hey I saw part of a message you left me but you tube isn't letting me see the whole message or respond to it. If you have questions you can email us at: contact@prodigaloverland.com
This was an amazing video and absolutely gorgeous. Killed it on the drone work and the edit with music selection. Now for a couple of things:
1. I started binge watching your channel about 5 days and have finally got all caught up. You can really see how much all of you have improved with everything since the beginning. You all really need to be proud of the amazing work you are doing.
2. In that time you have made me trade my vehicles in for a 2020 GC Trailhawk.
3. I can't wait till the time comes and I am able to go out on the trails with you guys.
Welcome to the present! Thanks for the feedback, I hope you enjoy the new ride! And yes it would be good to meet up sometime!
I’ll never forget rolling through there!!
Brad, amazing video! Excited to get to see these videos now, I’ll be out there with my GC in a few weeks. How would you compare Ophir Pass and Imogene?
Also, on Ophir, on the narrow shelf road just west of the peak, can you see far enough to wait for / avoid any oncoming traffic? Hoping to avoid having to pass another vehicle on the narrow sections.
I personally enjoyed Imogene more
Than Ophir. Imogene is harder and prettier than Ophir. But not as hard as getting to engineer ( next week). But yes you can see oncoming traffic on Ophir. No problems. It’s a pretty chill mountain pass.
