Hey Hannah, I think that this Humvee Camper comes with everything you will need to continue doing what you do in style, which I am a super fan of, the price tag is big but for what it is and what it has to make your everyday life comfortable is perfect, and the most important thing is your safety, I think its money well spent to ensure your everyday safety when you are travelling and working alone like you do, I so enjoy your videos and your adventurous sprit, please continue to do what you do, and stay safe out there.
The ground clearance is not great, and the cabin is not made for offroading, gravel roads and a bit of grass, the cabin will catch everything in its way off road, those windows will not last , I would consider if you want those amenities, an iveco 4x4, with a cabin, it is superior in off road capabilities, not a gas guzzler and cheaper to build, than a humvee, on top of that you get ground clearance and sit higher while the center of gravity is lower, the cabin can flex and more space
Oh dang! That thing has more counter space than my house! The toilet scares me though. Like, that’s just weird. 😂 And it’s all about the activities for sure. Yes Hannah: move into one of those, you deserve it. Although it might be too big to get to some of the spots you like going to. Stay frosty my friend!!!
You must absolutely buy this rig. As a Beach Master in the UNITED STATES NAVY I operated the HUMVEE among other equipment on terrain. Ever since I have wanted to do such a conversion. At this time I overland in a 2015 2 door Jeep Wrangler. Outstanding off road but limited space. That rig is the perfect long term overlanding home. Buy it and take me on your adventures.
That rig could take you places that would be inaccessible to other vehicles. And it's so You! Yes, we'd love to see where you'll be able to take us with this awesome rig; as a female alone out there, there's also the safety factor: Not even a bear could break into that thing. Hannah & her Hummer, new adventures await...
As nice as it is Swthrt, at that price I think it better come w/a 15-20yr, 150-200k mile Full Bumper to Bumper & Top to Bottom 100%Covered & Transferable Warranty. If not, then truthfully, I think it's a Waste of $$$$$$
Nice!!! I used to make parts for the Humvee factory in Mishawaka, Indiana. They are made totally solid. Back then they made the base vehicle with a Chevy 350 and 4-bbl carburetor for ease of maintenance. Then they’d add the accessories like 50cal turret, missile launcher, etc and go through an automated camouflage paint booth. Each one was road tested and track tested before approval. Downtown Mishawaka was cool with military Hummers running everywhere. BTW: That Hannah test was impressive!
Oh my that is AMAZING!!!The stuff dreams are made of.I love how you don't have direct outside access to your propane and necessity items.Glad to see you Hannah.I just finished my morning coffee,of course it's my mad mix with your mushroom coffee, soooooo good.
Is your van 4x4? The suspension in the Humvee is the same as a Unimog. The only thing missing is a big brush guard on the front. You could put on cameras to have a 360 degree view. As we discussed else where the ability to get to the drivers seat without going outside.
Doc, all I can say is Wow! My days in the Marine Corps were spent in the old M151A version of the Jeep so no Humvee experience, but I could see you running around in this rig! Personally I could see myself running around in this rig for the shower alone. That was unbelievable! Shame there was no mount for a "deuce" for the zombie apocalypse or just if you neighbors get to close or loud! 😀 I also love the direct access and the queen size bed. The separate garage in the back really appeals to me. Someone was really thinking when they build this, but of course it was a vet. This seems more than worthy of the price. Hope you get to take one our for a test drive! As always Doc, have fun!
I am impressed beyond words. I have a Phaeton Coach 45 foot but this looks absolutely ingenious. BTW you look stunning and need to make a Calendar big time.
Hello Dr Hannah, that was a very good presentation of that vehicle. It definitely has all the options or luxury's a person could ask for. I'm sure you would get a lot of attention wherever you would travel with that rig. I personally like the rig you travel in now, it takes you wherever you want to go. But whatever you decide keep on exploring. I love watching your adventures.
@@DrHannahStraight I’m building an ambulance with a passthrough and I have tons of room in the back for my buildout. It’s also getting a 4x4 conversion from UJoint so it can go anywhere. It’ll cost well under $100k all said and done. Just wanted to throw that option out there.
I might say no because of the price tag, BUT 1) It can go anywhere a 4x4 can go & a few places a 4x4 can’t go; 2) It’s military grade, which means it’s very durable, reliable & fairly simple to maintain & repair; and 3) You’re going to be living in it in temperatures from -20° - 115°F (-26° - 46°C)…
It does look like a wonderful set up - although I thought the sliding toilet and flushing system, could lead to malfunctions, also, price tag, fuel consumption would be, in my opinion a non-starter, I also wouldn’t like to try and change a wheel in the “rough” - your current rig gives you everything you need and more 😀
@DrHannaStraight. More ideas for my build! That toilet in the shower cupboard idea is one I already had though. I'm building a winterised camper on a 2016 Iveco chassis. But it was a refrigerated truck originally so already has plenty of insulation. maybe you can review it when it's done? I have 100% electric cooking with induction hob and air fryer and diesel heating. 510Ah LiFePo batteries and 525W solar.
The downside is cost, everything else looks pretty awesome. Humvee's might not to be the easiest thing to get repaired in the boonies, don't know how much of a problem.
Another excellent video , superbly explained with your abundance of energy and good humour . " Plenty of room for activities . " That just cracked me up . But what an awesome rig , it even looks the part from the outside , for serious off roading : Siberia , Brecon Beacons , and surprisingly for a vehicle that from the outside looks like a beast , the inside was spacious and very well thought about . Hope we see you out and about testing it .
If you’re going to pay that kind of money, a comfortable driving area is gonna be really important since you put a lot of time there going out into the world. Everything else about this rig is awesome. Coming from a vet, those seats get tiring.
This wolf rig is awesome. It’s like a battle base and a home all in one. You could travel anywhere in that. That’s for sharing. That clearance is amazing.
The only thing I would worry about Is overall height (for doing camper limbo under lower bridges), other than that it looks great! Well, and I would give it a different paint job as well … something to fit your personality.
Great video Hannah! Always fun to see you check out different rigs and builds that are out there! Also love the supervisor and the trainee that were part of the review! Based on your recent experiences, I think a big requirement for any future buys is a backup heating system!😋
Amazing! The last camper you'll ever need. It looks much better when you're inside (or outside) of it Hannah. All it needs is a roll out hot tub, but I like seeing you travel to the remote ones in the great outdoors. I think my 6'4'' self would be able to stand up straight inside. I know you would be a great dog mom, I'm sure you'd love it. 🐺 😄
Looks like the HumVee Ambulance variant. The HumVees in my unit had a snorkel air intake and exhaust system to traverse water. Run flat tires and a huge space between the driver and passenger in the front. You could put a decent stereo there.
Well done. My brother is in a Global Extreme Vehicle , for about 1.6 years now, about 1,000,000 more than the humvee. He and his wife are loving it. GPS tracks all over North America. Who ever did the Grand Canyon drone shot , that was pretty nice, illegal , but nice.
You showed storage for food, dishes, and cleaning materials, but what about other storage? Is there space for your snowboard, clothes, paddle board, etc.
Hannah, I never in a million years would've thought I'd live to hear you say '.50 caliber.' Also, since you mentioned 'the zombie apocalypse', 'The Last of Us' is a pretty good show! HOLY CRAP!!! That toilet looked like something out of the John Carpenter movie 'The Thing!' Pun intended. It also made me think of the Tumbler from 'Batman Begins.' Are you going to take up crime fighting!?!?
The Kitchen faucet is $60.00. Buy a used Hummer, Milwaukie saws-all, and diablo blades. Build your own camper and go to it. Save yourself $225,000. And louvered windows are the best for letting in fresh air and keeping the rain out. Locate the mounting brackets on the one you showed us. As they say EZ PEEZY, LEMON SQUEEZY.
You should move into that thing, you deserve it! You have been through enough already, but that may also be a good reason to watch. You have come a long way, go for it Hannah.
Repost: Hannal I posted a question and I was checking to see if you may have responded or not. I don't see it and I'm seeing a sad trend on social media which I hope is not the case here... too! That is a cool kick butt truck camper for sure! But before going and spending $350,000 upfront doing like you, which I'm content creator, pro photog, videographer and entreprenur to say the least, we design, make and retalil swim and fitness wear like you wear, and also have a candle buisness like you! I also have a truck camper like you but over here on the east coast! An adrenaline junkie who loves skydiving and mountain climing when not working. So, my question again is and... it's one that is relative to your viewers as well as mine. There has been a decade old debate among pro photoand videographers about getting permits and shooting in our National Parks and Forests. Now 85% to 90% of especially photogs I know and some newer Content Creators love to buck the system and are not even registered or licensed business entities! Yet they buck the system of operating as a legit pro or business to avoid taxes and gettign permit to shoot in our State and National Parks and Forestes. A few days ago, a fellow Content Creator posted a video on the issue of getting permits and being highly restricted now of shooting or creataing content in our National Parks & Forests. - WARNING Filming in National Parks is Banned for RUclipsrs - Jeven Dovey (ruclips.net/video/4ExA1l5nYrg/видео.html) "Effective October 28, 2022, the National Park Service rescinded interim guidance that was in place during litigation regarding commercial filming and has returned to longstanding laws and regulations governing commercial filming in parks. Q - "Does commercial filming by individuals or small groups require a permit?" A- "Federal law requires a permit for all commercial filming, no matter the size of the crew or the type of equipment. This includes individuals or small groups that don’t use much equipment, but generate revenue by posting footage on websites, such as RUclips and TikTok. The primary focus of the NPS, however, is on commercial filming that has the potential to impact park resources and visitors beyond what occurs from normal visitor use of park areas. Examples of this type of filming are productions that use substantial equipment such as sets and lighting, productions with crews that exceed 5 people, and filming in closed areas, wilderness areas, or in locations that would create conflicts with other visitors or harm sensitive resources. All filmers, no matter the size, must comply with all rules that apply in park areas, just like other visitors." www.nps.gov/aboutus/news/commercial-film-and-photo-permits.htm So my question is, can you provide us info or do a video on this and what you are dealing with in regards to getting permits for the west coast National Parks and & Forests you shoot you conent in? Jeven , being a west coast Content Creator who uses NPS says it is different with eac h park and they are even assessing a fee for someone to go with you while you are filimg and that covers their hourly cost. So when you are getting your permits, have you experiencesd this? Had someone go with you? If so what is the cost? How hard has it been for you to get permits on the west coast NPS or for NF??? I ran into this with the whole drone thing though I was not effected. But friends of mine were using their drone and posting on Facebook. The FAA and other agencies are checking people's social media and content to see if they have licenses on file or they have gotten permits. The FAA issues them a warning for their drone with a potential $150,000 fine if they continued post content on their social media without a licenss. But now they are facing some charges for posting content in national parks that they are making money from their RUclips and other social media accounts that they did not have permits for. So, have you had this happen yet? Can they really go view our RUclips videos and then go back and check to see if you got a permit to film that content in that National Park or Forest? I'm trying to find out!!! I'm nervous of contacting the NPS and asking about it and then they check my RUclips channel. That is why I am using this dumby account! What if someone turns you or I, or us content creators in??? It wouldn't suprise me with all of the censorsing going on these days!!!! I seriousl hope this was a glitch and you didn't delete my prior comment on this! Love the channel and the content! Keep rocking and let us know about this topic and don't deleleted it again!!! This could impact a ton of us molbile campers & contenct creators!!!
I am living in a 1995 skyline weekender , it’s pretty heavy on my dodge Ram 3500 I think I am over weight and my axles may break . I don’t know what truck this could have been made for I have a dual axle but it’s still pretty heavy for this truck. It’s a 1999 dodge so should have been one of the bigger ones when the camper was manufactured. I feel like my truck will break when I drive down the road , going to get a travel trailer or motorhome asap. I have to tow a mini cooper due to my job requiring driving in town wherever I go. I won’t be up in the wilderness due to no 4x4 it’s a rear wheel drive dually for towing not for a slide in camper. I am going to use elks lodges and KOA rv parks . I did the elks initiation making the elks antlers with your hands saying an oath and then voila your in yes rv parks restaurants and golf courses, charity fund raisers like fixing the roads and building airports or whatever .
Soooo, show us how you're supposed to use the hi-lift jack, when its 12 ft off the ground. Or how you would lift a 37in flat tire, into the "easy to use" spare tire holder.
This is awesome! I have used a truck slide in camper in my Humvee. People laughed at me when I first did it. Who is laughing now? And I’m building another one for it now. Hannah when you come to Alaska you can go off road with me in our Humvee camper! I’ve been updating videos of the build at my channel. It won’t be as nice as this machine but is also not a dedicated camper. Can convert back to pure truck for off roading. I also have a military trailer I’m rigging to hold the camper too. Anyway. Wow!!! Thanks for sharing. And yes you need that upgrade engine. Mine is the stock 6.2 non turbo and it struggles with highways. Okay everywhere else.
In the words of Arnold (humvee owner), "Do it. do it NOW!". Just be sure to buy a matching outfit. Something with camo or wolf print on it! I vote yes.
Hi. Well Hannah bigger and bulkier isn't necessarily better. What's the ROI on that rig? Is there an ROI? What about the LOI? Is it really worth it? Things to consider. Also looks like you'd hit some stuff with it. Going on narrow trails. Have fun.
Ran across your channel 4 day's ago.. Wow what a breath of fresh air you are lol. Very informing about what you do and the places you visit. I have been rv'ing for years and have learned more from you. And also have to say a very brave lady for some of the places you visit.(caves walking and driving lol ) Pleas keep the vidoes coming and stay safe beautiful...
WOW !!! After seeing all your comments I am so humbled !!! THANK YOU !!! Ya'll should start a "go-fund-me" for Hannah to get one. For those concerned about fuel mileage, it's nothing like the originals... NOTHING.... See ya out there !!! Safe travels & happy camping !!!!
Every one of your videos are really exciting to watch and you lead a very exciting life and you are my hero Thank You for your videos and I'll keep watching more of your videos that I've missed and your new ones of course when they come out Take Care and you Rock 😊 ❤🌷❤
Just so you know hannah . The hummer chassis is made by GM I know thus cause I use to haul the frame rails to Them . But it's OK hun we know you like Ford but you can cross over . Just put your bear spray in the new one . I will finish watching this when I get home you and everyone be safe out there .
Absolutely! It is too weird, last week I was fretting over your safety in your normal rig. I'm thinking, you are one tough cookie staying out in the woods all by your lonesome self! With this rig even I'd camp alone! Even in the woods!! Great episode! Was feeling a little Sunday blue, your vid picked me right up again. Thanks!!
Like the HUMVEE Off-Grid Motorhome, it is great for a couple plus a dog. Just seven questions. One; how much in US Dollars? Two; will this company supply to the UK and Europe? Three; when will they be available, or how long for one to be built to order and delivered? Four; what colours does it come in? Five; can a bi-fuel (unleaded petrol and LPG) 6.2-litre Covette turbo-powered engine, be installed in place of the diesel engines on offer? Six; can electric two ring hob and a microwave oven grill be fitted too? Seven; what is it like to drive, on road or off road, plus do you need 360-degree dayligh adverse-weather night-time driving parking and security /widelife digital camera system fitted? Eight; Maybe fitted with GPS and Sat Phone dishes, plus satellite television DAB radio dish, plus CB radio and marine aviation radio fitted too? Nine; could it be converted for a Disabled Driver or Disabled Passenger, plus a Service Dog too?
Nice conversion of an M997A2 Humvee Ambulance. Those things take a heck of a beating, even with a Patient in the back. I also love the ease with how you can get under the hood and do simple Fill level checks and replace some parts. The flip up hood makes things tons easier Alothough I could do without the canvas seats. Oh, when you're not traversing broken terrain, they'll fly on open roads and top easily out 65mph (engine was governed). Honestly the think I love most about them is that you really don't have to do a lot of conversion. Simply roll out a mat and a sleeping bag in one of the Litter bays and bam. you're set. Again, Love the conversion.
Yep, that was me. The prototype has the old 6.5 crappy engine. All the new ones we build have the 5.9 Cummins, which gets 16mpg and has 500hp. I just havent had the time to get the upgrade and we are inundated with builds now....
@@wolfrigs8997 looked like I sweet rig! I actually passed you twice because I stopped in Payson. I was hauling ass in a Nissan Armada coming back from Barrett Jackson.

Pun intended.
It also made me think of the Tumbler from 'Batman Begins.'
Are you going to take up crime fighting!?!?
WARNING Filming in National Parks is Banned for RUclipsrs - Jeven Dovey (ruclips.net/video/4ExA1l5nYrg/видео.html)
"Effective October 28, 2022, the National Park Service rescinded interim guidance that was in place during litigation regarding commercial filming and has returned to longstanding laws and regulations governing commercial filming in parks.
Q - "Does commercial filming by individuals or small groups require a permit?"
A- "Federal law requires a permit for all commercial filming, no matter the size of the crew or the type of equipment.
All filmers, no matter the size, must comply with all rules that apply in park areas, just like other visitors."
www.nps.gov/aboutus/news/commercial-film-and-photo-permits.htm
So my question is, can you provide us info or do a video on this and what you are dealing with in regards to getting permits for the west coast National Parks and & Forests you shoot you conent in?
Well done. Definitely you were having fun with this one. Thank you for sharing. Stay warm, safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
This is one rig I've never seen but think I'm in love! Holy crap, I think I know what I'm saving (and going to work hard) for now!
Welcome aboard!!!❤️
Awesome truck, and it suits you perfectly hannah.
Great Rig Hannah! Yes by all means you can live in it and delight us with more video adventures. Good Luck!!
Absolutely beautiful !! The Humvee isn't bad either ! 😁
It's a M977A3 the Ambulance version of the HUMMVE. The M988 is the 4 door version of the HUMMVE with the Soft Top that everyone's used to seeing.
Are you doing this for the weekend only? Or who are you with? Amazing!
Awesome description of this Hummer!
Every one of your videos are really exciting to watch
and you lead a very exciting life and you are my hero
Thank You for your videos and I'll keep watching more
of your videos that I've missed and your new ones of
course when they come out Take Care and you Rock
😊 ❤🌷❤
your happiness is contagious!!!
That's a good price for that rig. More than I can spend right now, but very reasonable for what you get.
Just so you know hannah .
The hummer chassis is made by GM
I know thus cause I use to haul the frame rails to Them .
But it's OK hun we know you like Ford but you can cross over .
Just put your bear spray in the new one .
I will finish watching this when I get home you and everyone be safe out there .
8:10 Those switches are manufactured by the same company that made the Apollo mission switch panels!
Thanks!!
hope you're feeling better, sending you some sunshine🌞
Great our of the WolfRig!
Well done, Dr. Hannah!
you should move into that Humvee camper, that's a nice vehicle to get you to all those great hot springs
This fits you perfectly. Great video. Thanks be safe out there in this crazy time. 👍👍🇺🇸
Thank you!!!❤️
Your beauty, your accent, your smile makes you a good product presenter...🙂👍
Enjoy, keep safe & more power to you!
Watching from Philippines 🇵🇭
Just AMAZING! And the vehicle is AWESOME TOO! LOL Thanks for sharing! Love you, God bless!
I think it's a solid YES!! You should definitely move into that rig.
😯Oh really that’s amazing😊😊
❤🤩
Where are you from dear..?
Hannah. You had plenty of clearance over your ample rocks. Your rocks rock
Dr. Hannah, Luv Ya, Luv Your Show!! What an AWESOME Humvee camper vehicle!! YOU ROCK!! 🤩🤓❤
Yep where do I sign up! plenty of activities for the room.
Fantastic Rig, Fantastic demo of an All-Terrain, All-purpose vehicle
I saw a WolfRig chugging up the the mountains somewhere around Payson yesterday.
@@bunker108 Funny, I think I remember the vehicle.... This is the prototype and still is missing the engine mods. So I would never sell it in it's current form. In fact, this one never gets sold for many reasons that won't end up in production.
That rig is epic!!! I'd live in one for sure.
It's nicer inside than I though it would be but the price tag and fuel costs scare the beejesus out of me! LOL
Yes you should get that that looks like a awesome rig
lol, you had me at (there's plenty of room for activities) 7:40
That's really cool Hannah, brings back memories from the Army days. That was more than likely a Med/Ambulance carrier or a command control Hummer. Very Cool!!! GET IT!!!!
That camper setup looks great!!!
It reminds me of the Humvee ambulance vehicles, probably where the inspiration for this came from.
Take it for a test drive and you'll know if it'll work for you! Thinking of going to Alaska at all? You'll need something like the Wolf Rig.
Yes, move into this rig. I can't wait to see your videos in this rig.
Great rig, go for it. Plenty of room and your are able to personalize it.
That's awesome! You can go anywhere with it. All the comforts of home
Yes, by all means move into it! It is super cool!!!
