Commented earlier about a good rack for ebikes. You might also consider a swing arm. 1Up sells the Rack Attach, but there are others that will allow you to swing the bike rack out to side and avoid conflict with camper door.

Hi Hanna, I also run a truck camper setup and carry 1 or 2 ebikes on my hitch mounted rack. There is always play in the hitch, so just use 2 ratchet straps off the sides to the edges of the bumper or under to the frame, this will secure the bike rack from wobbling around. I actually run a front receiver because I tow either my Jet Boat or a trailer with my Side by Side and Quad on it.

Most utility trailer companies have an onsite welder for hitches and such. They could sleeve that to save buying another and offset it some more for clearance on the camper door. (ADD) Just thought of this, they may even be able to put a step plate on it since groceries can push you back from the door.

Bolt three 2-inch receiver hitches to the back of my van, left frame , center, and right frame. Then slid in the 2-inch square telescoping metal tube from the frame back to the ebike tire rest. Generally I hauled small street legal motorcycles but it works for bikes as well. Nearly any welding shop can weld one in for you if that is the way you want to go. It also makes a nice step for the back door because I always kept a 2x6 bolted across the back.

I have a Hollywood rack and like it. Pretty sturdy, but going from 3" or even 2.5" receiver you need good adapters. I also recommend a hitch stabilizer.
For extreme stuff I use my Alta rack, it works great for ebikes, but it is big.

Yamaha is officially the most reliable motorcycle brand. I hope that carries through with your new E bike👍
Your receiver/bike rack slop is easily fixed by adding a clamping mechanism to where your bike rack square tube slides into your truck receiver. I don’t officially know what it’s called but your local rack store will have them in stock. It tightens up your rack to the receiver making everything tight as a drum. Also adds as a theft deterrent. Regardless though, your bike is built to carry your weight over rough terrain at speed and it can absolutely handle any vibration your rack/receiver dishes out.
Love your channel. It’s always a great escape for me to relax and enjoy your beautiful videos!
    Thank you.

Sure, challenging yourself to lower pedal assist to make it more of a workout takes a conscious effort. The only thing I would add is a seat suspension. But, you already have the extra suspension, for the back wheel. Just extra suspension, for a seat. If you wanted
    I have a pedalling mountain e-bike
Bought it used, for $900. Originally, $1,600. Jetson E bike.
2017, I think it was built. With inbuilt lights, and odometer. I like it, for uphill, around town.
    I like the exercise.
Sometimes, I turn the motor off. Then back on, at stop lights. Or, in the wind.
But, the motor really helps with not much effort on flat areas.
At a shop, they could order a seat suspension for around $100, they said.
    Enjoyed the scenery!
    And food.

Old Hitch Installer here, the way I do it is a 1/2"-13 hole drilled in the sides or top of the hitch box, a grade 8 1/2"-13 Hex Bolt and Jam Nut. Use it to push the ball mount or bike rack tube against the sides or bottom, don't over tighten. Use the Jam Nut to keep it there, some Loctite is always a plus.

Back at you !!...I've been ebiking every day for around 2 years now 'weather permitting', for exercise but also because its a lot of fun. Another great benefit of ebiking is that you can do it every day, whereas on a standard bike, you probably will have to take days off. And monthly maintenance on my ebike is ongoing, mainly brake adjustments and tire repairs. Okay my friend...good to see you, and I do mean 'see you'...until the next one and travel on !!

I think spring fed creak trout are one of the hardest fish to catch. I live near a fair sized trout creak and the way I used to do it when I was in my teens is wade upstream using a Panther Martin lure. That way when you are casting upstream and you get a bite all's ya gotta do is real it really fast downstream right into your net.

I love your videos. I also have a little help for you about the trout. The stream may seem like it has straight-down walls, but generally, streams have an area under the lip large enough for many fish to hide. Trout, especially brook trout, are very sensitive or skittish, so if they sense you, they will hide under this lip. In addition, they do not like the heat or sunshine, so they may even hang out there until they want to pursue their prey. So temp the trout by trailing your bait near but not right on the area of the lip. Let me know if it works.

I have the same type of bike mount. I bought some plastic shims and a clamp. I put the shims in the gaps at the receiver to stop the shake. I put a clamp around the shims to keep them in place. It does the job well enough to stop the shaking. As a tertiary plan I also bungee the bike to the car to have a little extra security, but that's just because I wanted to be extra safe. Yeah probably a little overkill but I haven't ever had an issue. Love your videos by the way!

I'm a +1 on e-bikes offering accessibility. Although I'm a rusted-on road rider (and don't own an e-bike), the reality is that people get out on a bike when they have an e-bike and that has to be a good thing. Sometimes I get a bit frustrated by illegally modified e-bikes, but I'll take the rough with the smooth.

Yamaha is tops. They have more experience with electric power than about anyone. They have made electric golf carts and utility vehicles for over fifty years. Made a few motorcycles as well. Good to see you Doc, safe rides.

Go to a hitch store and get an anti rattle/sway wedge kit. It tightens where the hitch bar goes into the truck
