What are your thoughts on eBikes for mountain biking? Say hi at www.lostwithhannah.com
You're AH-MAH-ZING 🎉
Kinda defeats the purpose. They are good for the physically challenged, 'though.
@@ronald8673 that's an old tired argument from someone who's never tried one... you can get justice go to work out with one of these and Seymour going farther.... obviously the heaviness is the biggest disadvantage so there's advantages to both - open your mind friend✌️
Outstanding AF!!
So what kind of excitement is on your onlyfans
Hi Hannah! Loved your video on your mountain e-bike. I am 78 years old and I have been a bike fanatic for almost 60 years. Now I ride a Trek mountain e-bike. It is truly a game changer. It allows me to get out more often, go much further, and still get a workout. Keep up the great lifestyle you have. I'll keep watching your videos.
Thank you for the awesome views of nature and the update on the bikes, you are gorgeous woman, who apparently is motivated enjoying the great outdoors, This disabled veteran would like to see more of your videos of peace and nature. I’m still trying to find from being over there. You are so helping thank you😊🙏👏👍
1Up racks are the best for off road. Solid as a rock, sold many of them by people seeing mine and how good it works.
Commented earlier about a good rack for ebikes. You might also consider a swing arm. 1Up sells the Rack Attach, but there are others that will allow you to swing the bike rack out to side and avoid conflict with camper door.
1UP USA is the gold standard in MTB/EMTB racks. And consider installing a front hitch receiver or a swing out hitch.
I have that exact bike rack on my Gladiator and I take it off roading often. Yes it does move around a lot but it works just fine. I would recommend it for off-roading. I have never had a problem with the rack or my mountain bike.
Just another great Dr Hannah video. Keep doing what you do. Some of us live vicariously through your adventures. 😊
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Sandwich looked delicious.
I love my Kuat rack. It has a knob you turn that expands inside the reciever so there's no slop.
Thank you Hannah. Im looking forward to seeing you snow board again. Its slowly creeping closer and closer to season.
it's coming so soon!!!!!!!!
Hannah you have those 2 hooks on back of the camper you can try running strapping from the bike to the hooks when traveling .
Hi Hanna, I also run a truck camper setup and carry 1 or 2 ebikes on my hitch mounted rack. There is always play in the hitch, so just use 2 ratchet straps off the sides to the edges of the bumper or under to the frame, this will secure the bike rack from wobbling around. I actually run a front receiver because I tow either my Jet Boat or a trailer with my Side by Side and Quad on it.
Nice video. Camping and ebike riding looks like fun. Yes, ebikes and mountain biking go well together. Great scenery too . Thanks
The rear "suspension" looks great @ 4:28.
Bella, I have a rack from Rocky Mounts that swings away to the right you would prefer. From REI.
Most utility trailer companies have an onsite welder for hitches and such. They could sleeve that to save buying another and offset it some more for clearance on the camper door. (ADD) Just thought of this, they may even be able to put a step plate on it since groceries can push you back from the door.
Love the way you grab life with such gusto. You always dispense such great words of wisdom for life. It’s so good to go through life playing. I think if we stop playing then we become old. Love the bike.
Thank you so much!=)
I love your bubbly personality and your wonderful smile Doc ☺️ thank you for that incredible footage of that mountain trail with your e-bike Hannah 🏞️
Just stumbled onto your channel. What a great way to enjoy life. Growing up in Maine, I love to see all the woods and outdoor lakes that you visit... Enjoy.
Hanna put the e bike on a front receiver hitch . Thats what I did with my lance 1172 camper . It works great also to make it more stable I tie small diameter rope and tie each end of rack to rings on front of f 350 . Really makes it more stable .
Kuat bike rack with swivel adapter!! Best investment I ever made for my rig.
I love that trail that overlooks The Big Blue and lake that rhymes with "Barlette"! :) My happy place!
Hi Hannah, wonderful adventure, most informative on e bikes, most beautiful scenery and poetry. You’re the best. See you next adventure. Gary
Great looking bike, the trail/lake are beautiful, thanks for sharing and taken us along.
Bolt three 2-inch receiver hitches to the back of my van, left frame , center, and right frame. Then slid in the 2-inch square telescoping metal tube from the frame back to the ebike tire rest. Generally I hauled small street legal motorcycles but it works for bikes as well. Nearly any welding shop can weld one in for you if that is the way you want to go. It also makes a nice step for the back door because I always kept a 2x6 bolted across the back.
That's one of my favorite trails especially in the fall when the temperatures are down, less peeps and when aspens are max color.
I have a Hollywood rack and like it. Pretty sturdy, but going from 3" or even 2.5" receiver you need good adapters. I also recommend a hitch stabilizer.
For extreme stuff I use my Alta rack, it works great for ebikes, but it is big.
Yamaha is officially the most reliable motorcycle brand. I hope that carries through with your new E bike👍
Your receiver/bike rack slop is easily fixed by adding a clamping mechanism to where your bike rack square tube slides into your truck receiver. I don’t officially know what it’s called but your local rack store will have them in stock. It tightens up your rack to the receiver making everything tight as a drum. Also adds as a theft deterrent. Regardless though, your bike is built to carry your weight over rough terrain at speed and it can absolutely handle any vibration your rack/receiver dishes out.
Love your channel. It’s always a great escape for me to relax and enjoy your beautiful videos!
Thank you.
Makes me think more about the sport. Great video and information. Good watch Hannah
One of the best rides ever. I've done it many times
Hi Hannah- I ride a class 2 eBike and thought about the whole exercise thing. You're definitely getting exercise. Sure, challenging yourself to lower pedal assist to make it more of a workout takes a conscious effort. It is nice to go 30 or 40 miles in a decent amount of time and not be too exhausted to make tacos when you get back.
Nice bike dr Hannah good choice yamaha is quality they make so many things you would never expect them to make another great video
Class 1 e-bikes are the best been on them for 6 years now your right a total game changer.
I just bought a Quitekat Ebike Hitch Rack - it pivots and it provides ebikes of at least 100 ounds capacity and large tire widths. Love your videos, thanks.
The only thing I would add is a seat suspension. But, you already have the extra suspension, for the back wheel. Just extra suspension, for a seat. If you wanted
I have a pedalling mountain e-bike
Bought it used, for $900. Originally, $1,600. Jetson E bike.
2017, I think it was built. With inbuilt lights, and odometer. I like it, for uphill, around town.
I like the exercise.
Sometimes, I turn the motor off. Then back on, at stop lights. Or, in the wind.
But, the motor really helps with not much effort on flat areas.
At a shop, they could order a seat suspension for around $100, they said.
Enjoyed the scenery!
And food.
Thanks Dr Hannah Straight up info helps to ward off government ending up in the wrong places for e bike regulations for too many e bike trails careful e bikes everyone
Old Hitch Installer here, the way I do it is a 1/2"-13 hole drilled in the sides or top of the hitch box, a grade 8 1/2"-13 Hex Bolt and Jam Nut. Use it to push the ball mount or bike rack tube against the sides or bottom, don't over tighten. Use the Jam Nut to keep it there, some Loctite is always a plus.
Super cool spot ❤ that's a ture statement of ur outcome of life!! Especially with a four wheel camper!!!
Thanks for your thoughts starting at 2:00. As I near the end of my life some points in those thoughts hit very close to home.
Trout can be very elusive. They like to swim under rocks, logs, overhanging banks and trees. Very hard to see them at times.
I have a buddy that uses his e-bike to get to his hunting areas from camp. Some places you have to find out if your allowed to use them off trail though
the Thule ez-fold has a neat feature on the receiver--you can twist a knob and it continuously tightens within the receiver until it doesn't shake anymore. Bonus, there's a ramp available for those taller hitches/heavier e-bikes.
Back at you !!...I've been ebiking every day for around 2 years now 'weather permitting', for exercise but also because its a lot of fun. Another great benefit of ebiking is that you can do it every day, whereas on a standard bike, you probably will have to take days off. And monthly maintenance on my ebike is ongoing, mainly brake adjustments and tire repairs. Okay my friend...good to see you, and I do mean 'see you'...until the next one and travel on !!
Impossible to not be smiling when you are such a happy attitude! 😊
Great camping and hiking trails.
And food looks delicious 😋
@xDrHannahStraight 🧐 sure and that little x in front of the Troll 🧌 s name 📛
Get a life.
I love My Yakima with swing away for my wrangler. The rack tightens down into the swing away which bolts into the receiver. I ride a specialized E-bike and a gravel bike as well. Have fun, love your channel!
Hi Hannah, above every wheel you have a hook kinda thing, where you can fasten your ebike with some rope or other material. @ 1:07 you can see what i mean, would be perfect for it! Have fun girl and be safe!
Awesome video Hannah that does look like a great deal on the e bike 😊 Thanks for taking a salon and showing us the beautiful scenery it was amazing😊
I think spring fed creak trout are one of the hardest fish to catch. I live near a fair sized trout creak and the way I used to do it when I was in my teens is wade upstream using a Panther Martin lure. That way when you are casting upstream and you get a bite all's ya gotta do is real it really fast downstream right into your net.
I've never caught a trout out of a high mountain stream or creek, only lakes
I am 65 and do a lot of exploring in Death Valley and the eastern Sierras on my Sur-ron. It has taken me places that I could not get to otherwise. My favorite places are abandoned mines where few if any people have been in years or decades. Those miners were some tough bad asses and I am always amazed at their persistence and creativity
Stay healthy Hannah. I don't see as many ebikes on trails around here. but it's flat ground.
1UpUSA HD rack is what you want for the ebike. You can add a swing out arm for more access to the rear door.
I'm on my 4th Rad with a Rad Rover 6 power plus. Been four wheeling in the mountains hunting elk and it's held up great. Can haul an elk quarter in rear rack!❤
Hey Hannah, You must pick up a pair off polarized sun glasses to look into water with less glair. It makes a huge difference.
Great video! Looks at the Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack. It attaches to your hitch and has a device that tightens to prevent wobble. Also, it tilts down to allows your vehicle hatch to be opened without removing your bike
The view, omg. The chopped cheeseburger. Will have to try. Thank you for sharing.
Your ability to find places with no one else around is astounding! Or you’re just great at keeping them out of the shot? Either way, amazing job!😊
Oh, I'm sure there are some people around. It looks like she's up near the Lake Tahoe area. If you have a 4x4 there are a lot of areas that are very secluded along the Sierra Nevada area, and even more up in the Cascades.
That area is a beautiful spot to camp. I glad your time there was wonderful may your travels be safe and enjoyful Dr.Hannah Straight all the best JosephLRossiter.
I love your videos. I also have a little help for you about the trout. The stream may seem like it has straight-down walls, but generally, streams have an area under the lip large enough for many fish to hide. Trout, especially brook trout, are very sensitive or skittish, so if they sense you, they will hide under this lip. In addition, they do not like the heat or sunshine, so they may even hang out there until they want to pursue their prey. So temp the trout by trailing your bait near but not right on the area of the lip. Let me know if it works.
You are so fortunate to visit and see these beautiful areas.
WOOHOO!! Pedal assist!!👏🏽 Not all who roam are lost!!😉
Thank you for sharing another spectacular location and a heads up on a great Yamaha deal!! Cheers Hannah!!❤
Mateo!! that's one of my favorite quotes=)
@@DrHannahStraight Right On!! Glad we’re on the same wavelength!!😉💜
There's tons of happiness involved in your kinda goofin around, thanks for sharing your love, and bringing it along for all the adventures; tacos, pizza, now chop cheese too.. whoohoo spicy! 😅
Good job finding and pulling the trigger on the emtb. They can be life changing if you use them. Some of the benefits in our lives have been, significant weight loss, resuming a hobby long since abandoned, increased fitness, and most importantly frequent joy and happiness. If riding brings you joy, do more of it. Keep up the positive content.
Excellent! I’m really glad you decided to give it a try and I’m pretty sure you’ll love it. Great video as always
I have the same type of bike mount. I bought some plastic shims and a clamp. I put the shims in the gaps at the receiver to stop the shake. I put a clamp around the shims to keep them in place. It does the job well enough to stop the shaking. As a tertiary plan I also bungee the bike to the car to have a little extra security, but that's just because I wanted to be extra safe. Yeah probably a little overkill but I haven't ever had an issue. Love your videos by the way!
A like and comment to make the algorithm happy. As always, thanks for posting Hannah!
thank you!!=)
Wow, this eBike is a game-changer for camping and mountain adventures! I love how versatile and powerful it is, perfect for exploring off-grid with my RV. The design and features are top-notch, definitely considering getting one for my next outdoor trip. Thanks for the awesome review!
Another great adventure Hannah. I agree with you, an electric assit e bike is the way to go. I've got one and love it! Love this time of year and the changing colors of the trees. Looking forward to going to the Eastern Sierras in two weeks. Happy traveling girl! 🍃 🍂 🍁 ⛺️ 😊
have fun!!! thank you Tom=)
Absolutely beautiful scenery. Yeah, nature's good to.
Hannah, your soring the hearts of watching egos not eagles. Watch for the cats and bears they will be getting hunger pains as it gets cooler. We enjoy watching your camper cooking channel awesome pictures.
I've enjoyed a Big Bud Pro by Atom for years. Dog rode in trailer when she was able. It's also a great car replacement. I'll have to look at the Yamaha sale, thanks for the tip.
Another great adventure for Hannah! I really enjoy your videos! Thank You!!
thank you!!!
Just bought an Lectric XPeak.... love it. It's a strudy e-bike that does what I want. I live in the Sierra near Yosemite and the amount of roads and trails around here is rediculous. Fun times.
Thanks for sharing looking forward to your next adventure
❤❤😊
thank you for watching!!!
I use a steel motorcycle rack for my ebike. 2 rachet straps and a wire lock for security/ redundancy. The auto retract ratchet straps work best
Hey Doc been missing you😢.Glad to see you back🤗! Thanks for taking us along on another beautiful Adventure😊. That sanmich looks mighty tasty, and by the way so do you😍. Until next time, love ya stay safe🥰😘😘❤️❤️🔥.
Great video! ❤ Loved the bike ( still a bit expensive but a great deal ) and the sandwich Wow!
Beautiful video, Hannah 🩵 scenery around the lake , blue sky etc.. bike klase1 looks bombastic so goes for sandwich !!! I'm craving for that other half 😋🤙🏼
Rocky Mounts backstage 2'' will do the job! Also make sure when not using your Ebe the dropper post better be in extended and not down there will be less tension overall !
The best quality of your videos is "you are funny!" I loved this video, and this sandwich reminded of my buddy from PA...ha ha! he loved both CA and his home town of Philly.
Hello Hannah, the rugged earth background complements your personality, radiates your beauty! No e-bike experience for me yet..
Can’t wait to get back out to the Tahoe area. I rode the flume trail when I was there, amazing ride and amazing views.
The carriage trails in Acadia are outstanding. My wife and love riding our e-bikes for mile on them. The camping is great too
I'm sure you've had plenty of feedback in your ebike rack, but I'll chime in! There's several great options out now. I have the Kuat NV 2.0 which is a great rack. Yakima has the two stage which is also great. Both heavy duty, no need for adapters as long as you have a 2" hitch receiver.
The sale is still going on. I was checking the Yamaha site as you were discussing the bike.
Always a great day when we get new content from you Hannah. You always provide wonderful views and beautiful scenery especially with the mountain top sunbathing 😍 that lake looks really refreshing and a great place to try to catch a fish. Thanks for the info on the bike. I’ve been looking for a good one hopefully there still on sale and yes the no camping sucks I seem to run into that more now than before and I must say that food looks really delicious.
I just purchased a Bakcou Storm Jager which can be programmed for level 1,2,or 3 with or without throttle. The 14 speed Rohloff rear hub is awesome. The mid motor drive uses all those gear ratios so this should be able to go most anywhere. Fully adjustable suspension is very nice. Not cheap by any means but I am very happy with it so far.
I have the Giant Trance e mountain bike which has the Yamaha motor which is one of the better ones out there with a ton of torque. Definitely opens up the options with a high-end mountain bike as it has the full suspension and geometry to do some downhill as well. Looked like a great spot you found which is food for the soul.
Love my Giant E mountain bike. My Hyperax rack system looks similar to yours. I use tie down straps from the right and left sides of the rack to the truck frame to help with reduce rack movement. Cheers!
Hannah, I had 2 Yamaha outboard motors, a 150 and a 9.9 and they ran like a smooth sewing machine.❤
yamaha for life baby!
😂
I'm a +1 on e-bikes offering accessibility. Although I'm a rusted-on road rider (and don't own an e-bike), the reality is that people get out on a bike when they have an e-bike and that has to be a good thing. Sometimes I get a bit frustrated by illegally modified e-bikes, but I'll take the rough with the smooth.
I've done a lot of mountain biking in NJ and NY. I seen some beautiful things but you got me beat at the moment. That looks amazing out there!
so pretty up there!!! you gotta come check it out sometime!
6:56….I 100% agree with that statement.
Informative, Educational, Reflective with great Production value. Keep it up.
Yamaha is tops. They have more experience with electric power than about anyone. They have made electric golf carts and utility vehicles for over fifty years. Made a few motorcycles as well. Good to see you Doc, safe rides.
Remarkable video Hannah very much enjoy your adventures!🤩
Hii , Thule has all kinds of mounting systems for bikes, roof racks and what ever ... Nice views 🥰
Go to a hitch store and get an anti rattle/sway wedge kit. It tightens where the hitch bar goes into the truck
1st from Canada 🇨🇦
Cool bike Hannah!! 🏆
Hannah❤ , Thanks for sharing another amazing adventure. The views overlooking the lake were breathtaking. You scored a killer deal on that e-bike, plus its a yamaha😉, i can see putting alot of miles on it. The chopped cheese looked delicious 😋
Ron!!=) thank you❤️
So happy to see another Dr. Hannah adventure 😀
Yay! Thank you!
