Yes it is. It is more expensive than doing it through a shader or any similar method. But you get that sweet physics effect when you interact with it which is not that feasible through shaders.
Love your vid i was wondering i did every same step on everything but still my static mesh doesnt have the physics and just stay still do u have an idea what it might be
@@Doomfields Hey, you have to import the mesh as a skeletal one and not as static mesh. Static meshes won't work with physics and all that fancy stuff.
How did your foliage move and interact? I followed the tutorial completely. So when I walk on the plant, nothing happens. But I noticed that when I assign a collision in a static mesh. The blueprint cycle starts working. Everything randomly disappears and appears. And immediately the error "is not valid pending kill or garbage" pops up. Okay, I changed "Destroy actor" to "is valid" The error disappeared. But the randomness still remains, the foliage does not react and the load on the computer begins
@@AlehAoliege oh man. I think you can check the script once again. I have provided a link in the description as well if you want to cross check. It should work.
Indeed it is. Perhaps we'll be developing a better solution in the future but I felt it is a good starting point to get into the entire foliage interaction system. But personally I still pivot painter toolsets for most of the foliage heavy lifting.
I remember being very impressed by this a couple of months back ! Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you so much!
I saw this in our Facebook group. Excited to learn this technique. Thanks for sharing. Just subscribed
Thank you so much!
这是我看见最好的植物视频 感谢让我学到了技术 不知道可以发一下 ue的 蓝图入门教程吗
Isn't a skeletal mesh more expensive than other methods, like weight painting?

Yea this tuto is just bad
Great video. Check the sound quality of your voice, it's low. Please make more content.
Thank you. I will keep in mind about improving the audio quality from now on. :)

Did you rig your foliage first before doing the rest of the tutorial?
@@ButtercupVisuals yes, i checked the rig and everything is ok
And did you set the collision response to overlap and not block
@@ButtercupVisuals yes, i do

this is too heavy
