Hey there! Thank you all guys for watching the video, I appreciate it a lot! What would you like me to play next? Please, let me know on the comments and as always, have a great day!
I am not Spanish, I am a Filipino, but I have been listening to "UNA Y CARNE" and dejo la Tierra is always on my playlist. Goosebumps... I play DJEMBE, BONGO, CONGA, CAJON and the likes... Flamenco is siento porsiento compatible with percussion instruments like the cajon. I can say, I have seen all your videos. Paramore, bat country, dream theater, etc... But this is the best... Looking forward to watching your new covers. More power señor... Grande estepario...
This song is like a journey. You feel every ounce of emotion through the music and lyrics. Beautiful music my friend. And absolutely incredible work on the Cajon 💯
I love Flamenco and listening to the songs full of passion, full of love, pure emotions ....I can't describe how much I love. I love Spain, the culture and the people are so welcoming , very warm and friendly ...and of course we love you too El Estepario Siberiano 👍🥁❤
What a beautiful song and what a beautiful lyrics. I’ve been practicing flamenco dancing with my girlfriend (mind you, I’m a metalhead so it’s kind of a thing) and I never imagined the lyrics to be so beautiful and so tragic. It touched my very soul and I had to be careful not to cry in a full train. (Been watching this in public transfer) Thank you for sharing your beautiful culture.
Poetry in it's humblest yet purest form... don't know if you into it but instrumental XX flamenco (Sabicas style) really hits different. Or even processional marches from Andalucia and around Spain such as El Milagro for brass or La Madrugá for full band will move you for sure!!
The first time I listened to this song and read along to the lyrics I was really focused on the Cajon... I thought the songs emotion was projecting a broken heart and possibly a suicidal aspect... But than I realised he is singing about being born again and saved by Christ and now he is redeamed and ready to "Leave the Earth" when the "Catching Away" happened... Before 2050 I might add... Good luck 👌
"I'm not a professional Cajon player." Continues to play Cajon professionally.... You are so humble! Very nicely played, and thank you so much for the education about the negatively charged aspects of flamenco! 😊
I dare to say the 'negative' feelings flamenco explores are usually nostalgia, loneliness, desperation, emotional pain, helplessness, regret, homesickness, separation, sadness, among many other
Dude... That was absolutely fucking beautiful 😭 I've never really listened to any flamenco, I'm mostly a metal fan at heart, and I absolutely love watching your metal videos and your insane talent, but what I love just as much is your ability to produce just absolutely gorgeous music as well. I think it really shows your incredible skill as a musician, and I really appreciate you sharing this beautiful piece of your culture with those us who might not be as familiar!! You can absolutely bet I'll be keeping an eye out for more videos like this!
The artist is Una y Carne, and the song is called "Dejo la tierra." Well done as always! I liked the song so much. I checked out the album, and I can't recommend it enough!
I have only known you from your amazing thrash drumming that came up on my shorts. Today, I visited your page for the first time. Thank you for showing a more nuanced side of who you are. Also, I have a deep love of flamenco but do not speak Spanish. The vocalists always perform emotionally, but what a wonderful bonus to have you translate. May God be with you always. And as we say in Jamaica, "Nuff respec'" for your amazing skills, sir!
Beautiful start dude. I travelled Europe for a year in 2015 and needed a solution to drum while my friends busked guitar. Ended up buying a cajon. Took it with me everywhere I went all year. It's such a nice instrument.
I’ve seen tons of your videos and I love them all. But, this one was really unique. This was great! As a rock and metal drummer, I would love to see more videos like this if possible.
Yo @OBGynKenobi I respect your opinion but as a Spanish musician I'll try to let u know the big difference in between flamenco and blues. Both are musical languages in themselves, both come from a long tradition that emanates from the common people, both have been mixed with all kinds of musical styles, both have improvisation as one of the legs on which their roots are supported, but the richness and variety of rhythmic measures and dance that are an essential part of flamenco do not exist in blues. Big hug from Madrid, Spain.
@@Tomasandia disculpa me, no quise transmitir un sentido explícito. Solamente que, como el Blues es una música folclórica de América, así también el Flamenco lo es de España. Nada más.
Kudos to you for sharing flamenco to non spanish 🙌🏻 not really my style, but it's part of us as spanish people, I'm actually from Andalucia. Flamenco is an amazing style of music with so much history. I kind of compare it with blues and irish singing regarding the strength and sandness of the lyrics
once again, thank yu soo sooo much for sharing this and also translating the beautiful lyrics, it easily became one of my absolute favourite songs also how you´ve transmitted all these emotions, just so stunning and mesmerizing, thank yu :)
You forgot to say that Cajón came from Perú...Paco de Lucia was there, playing in 1977, fixed his eye on Chabuca Granda's percussionist, who played that strange instrument. He brought several to Spain, and his own percussionist, Ruben Dantas, adapted, with him, this instrument for flamenco...so it is used for this genre around since 46 years, and his real name is Peruvian Cajón.
As posted by @robertorussi4192 The cajón is a percussion instrument of Peruvian origin. Flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia incorporated it into flamenco music in the 1970s after a tour that included Peru, where he became acquainted with the instrument. It is then an instrument that has revitalized flamenco music but being totally of Peruvian origin 👍
A sad song about leaving earth shows their passion for life here on earth. I never knew this about flamenco. Thank you for educating me today! ❤️💪🏼😎👍🏼❤️
"Tierra" could also mean "my land/motherland", even without "mi Tierra" which would be more specific. But if the artist is mourning and contemplating "suicide" by leaving everything, that's "earth". Flamenco lyrics are usually quite hyperbolic so it's just an exaggeration of how much sadness he feels.
Thank you for sharing your culture! That truly was profound...I learned something new today that touched my soul and expanded my horizons in many ways...💚
Felicidades 👏👏👏

Cool of you to share some of your culture with us. The subtitles were a great addition too. Nice to see you're actually mortal, even if it's only on one instrument. Though I suspect with 12 minutes of practice you would be god tier on the cajon as well. Beautiful stuff as usual.
