El Estepario is the best when it comes to pure drumming with no gimmicks. This plain daylight from the outside, filming with the lens that is not too wide, maybe the framerate too, all that emphasized his playing for me. It's like you're standing here with him, watching him, and there's no magic tricks, crazy editing, just an unmatched raw skill. There's a disclaimer for those people that would inevitably say that it's "overplayed", and I can understand the fans that are so used to the original, but I feel like that one somehow doesn't really feel overplayed to me, he just makes those covers sound on point every time.
And yet he has THE BEST gimmicks. The stick flash is legendary, the drinking beers and smoking weed while playing with one hand is hilarious. Switching clothes between song breaks, or tossing a stick in the air and suddenly being in a dinosaur costume when he catches it … his gimmick is his humor, but omg can he play.
This drumscore is holy and should never be altered. But seeing this guy having fun, is a true blast. Muchas gracias for your talent, work and videos, Estepario! ❤
