Another thing of One Step From Eden's Shopkeeper, while when you're playing as her you don't get her crazy attacks she uses if you so choose to fight her, because she's a merchant, you can access her shop goods for free in any place in the game you can view your deck list from. Catch is, you need to spend money to restock it and while at first this sounds not like a hefty cost, you have to remember that Shopkeeper is like Tingle from those weird Tingle games the US never got: The Shopkeeper's money is her life. For every amount of money you have on her, her max HP changes to match that money. However, there is a way around this. If you have a Removal to remove the starting Artifact she has, her max HP will remain static to however amount of money she had on her before you removed it. Removals do more in One Step From Eden than merely remove cards from the deck. You can also use them to remove Artifacts you don't want anymore, and you can also use Removals to remove Pacts you bought from the shop, to eliminate any negative effects they may put on you, much earlier than normal, and keep your rewards from taking those Pacts. The only exception is Pacts that have their negative effects trigger instantly the moment you take them, like taking damage to HP for example

When I was a kid I played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team. When I encountered a dungeon shop for the first time I picked up some items, then he asked me to pay as I left and I decided I didn’t want to spend that much so I said no thinking I could just put the items back. The horror of what happened next scarred me and I was terrified any time I saw a dungeon shop again. Especially when I learned you can accidentally steal with one of those orbs that pull all items on the floor to you.
However, that’s the only way to encounter hostile Kecleons if you want to recruit one and I gotta catch ‘em all… So one day when I was level 100 at last, I stole deliberately and fought countless Kecleons. Eventually one did ask to join my team. When they join you, you can see what level they are.
It’s 90. They were level 90. Chances are you weren’t anywhere near that level when you encountered a dungeon shop for the first time or even when finishing the story. Even maxed out at level 100, fighting a huge swarm of level 90 Pokémon is a struggle.
I haven’t played PMD Rescue Team DX but I hope they made an easier way to get Kecleon.

There´s a salesman in Deadcells that fits the "Violent" aspect. On the Bank level there are three shops, you can freely browse through their stock, if you choose to buy an item one of those shopkeepers has a random chance to accept violence instead of money and it's a real challenge to defeat it, but the reward is always the fully upgraded weapon two levels above what you expected.

Monstrous ferocity of a ferocious monster.
I mean it's not what I expected, but it checks out.

Actually in the mystery dungeon games you can steal from keckleon shops by using escape orbs after taking all the items. The orbs have a greater chance of failing after leaving the shop and getting caught, but if used while still inside the shop floor, you escape with all the items scott-free with zero consequences.

I find it funny that because of Keckleon specifically, I never once tried to pissed off a shop keeper since. And even heeded the words of O.D. just so I didn't make him upset.
