i legitimately don't know if cry like a grandmaster is a real book or not
reglel It is. Someone once made a joke, where they made a book with the actual title “Cry like a Grandmaster” and sent it to Ben (However, the book wasn’t written by Ben). As far as I know, Ben owns several copies of that book (so you can perhaps ask to borrow a copy if you ever meet him personally). He’s also shown it on his stream several times.

at 11:29 could black play NxH3? if King moves anywhere play Qxe7, which forces white to recapture. next play PxG3, and if white captures the knight then you take on f2 with the rook behind the pawn, and if king takes pawn then your just up a piece?

It exists. It's more like a pamphlet than a book, but I do have a signed copy. No, it's not for sale. If you're very very nice to Ben, and make a nice donation to his chess club, there's an off chance that he would send you a copy.
Was Ben a test-subject in a police K9 exercise? ...that left arm looks well-chewed.
I love that Ben acts like he can guess what the computer would say, and the kids believe that he didn't prepare for the lecture at all
Im 23 and You actually made me start thinking if that is True but i prefer to still believe he does not prepare
ultranoodles It’s actually quite easy to guess the correct the computer evaluation of most chess positions if you’re a decent chess players and work with computers a fair amount. Furthermore, Ben has guessed wrong in previous videos, so I’m positive he doesn’t prepare the computer evaluations.
@@dorikaspar2415 I mean, not all the time, but I would be surprised if he didn't run it through the computer before lecturing
ultranoodles he most certainly does that for complicated positions and the classes for higher rated players, but I’m willing to bet that he’s genuinely guessing the evaluation of the winning positions in most cases.

I think you just move the rook to f7 or something. It’s a back rank problem. No need for all the complicated variations. Ra5 Rf7++
