      @@Yesaul19 To use as hook protectors, I 'poke' the hook into the _SIDE_ of stirrer and very close to the end.
      I do not 'insert' the hook into the _END OPENING_ of the stirrer ... cuz it will just slip off the hook.

    Looked at a bunch of these when first came out rigged a few up and tried them in the water. If you go straight into worm instead at roughly thirty degree angle you get a bit more resistance. This preveyline from moving easily in and out of the worm which makes action grab a bit. I found that if you do go straight only on the last twist it does matter as that’s just the end that pulls up. Hook placement can be a pistol but alignment with the eye of the hook with on of the entry holes creates less drag and let’s action go well. I found that where it seemed to look the best was actin horizontal presentation. Vertical presentation a wacky rig is close enough to what this does. It does look sexy dragging and very small pop up and horizontal twitches. Very small twitching conveys a lot of action to the worm so it’s a case of not overworking the worm. It’s a very visual presentation so seems that water visibility may matter? Thanks for the video Randy. This is a new technique here so the more peeps that play with it and work it the better. With you being so good at shallow water fishing I would think you would catch off it and find what works best.

    I made a few prototypes with flexible tubing, and the worm holds it in place well. It does not affect the flexibility of the worm, in fact I think it enhances it.
    Senkos are perfect for this rig as are the Zoom products mentioned.
    I found that using a barbecue skewer to puncture the worm in all three places at once, ensured they were aligned.
    I also added a second hook in place if the split ring and caught a bunch of “tail nippers”….
    It’s a fish magnet and I totally agree with you. Next year this rig could easily become a winner!

    I’ve been waiting for a chance to try this technique out. As far as folks thinking it’s not worth the effort, my plan is to set up the tubes on a number of worms ahead of time. Then if I want to tie one on it won’t take much more time than any other decent worm rig. Thanks for the simplified take on the technique.

    You have your hook facing the opposite way as all the other bids I have seen. Most all have it hooked with the Shank against the Worm and the eye directly in line and in front of the first piece of tubing with the hook point out and exposed. The way you had it it was not at all in line and the eye was very far away from the tubing. That will 100 percent affect the action cause the hook is going to be bouncing and moving to much thats why it popped of your Worm the first couple times you moved it after it was rigged. I would like to see an in the water comparison with the hook mounted both ways. Just my 2 cents great video randy.

  • @bobbymason3420
    @bobbymason3420 3 года назад +1

    Oh and you can use coffee stirring straws to poke into worm no need hardware store and they have good small diameter so worm doesn’t have to be as fat.

  • @scottperkins4790
    @scottperkins4790 3 года назад

    In this setup, the only way to accomplish a hook set is for the hook to bottom out on the tubing and split ring since there is no knot on the hook itself. Seems very likely that it's going to destroy the tubing and the worm itself every time you land a fish. Being that this isn't the easiest lure to rig, I'd call it a waste of time in the big picture.

    Randy I’m disappointed you waited so long to do a video on this. I’ve already seen a bunch and I thought you were the guy that shared his secrets with his viewers. Might have lost me on this one.

    I just see lots of heartbreak and aggravation with this rig. Way too easy for the plastic to roll over the hook point

    If we fishing in a pond, we can catch 20 fish with any finesse rig, but the inuring rig is nothing; it is a most stupid rig within 15 years, it is not creativity, it is gimmick

    It looks amazing providing you hold the head of the worm with your hand. Otherwise it’s not impressive at all. I say gimmick!

      It looks a lot like the old bass professor's favorite worm. If you know, you know.

      You haven't been around fishing much then. About 10,000 lures and rigging methods out there that are way dumber and more pointless. Whoever the 1st person was to think of rigging this up, is a genius. Honestly, your reaction of this being dumb, is a dumb reaction.

      So does each worm only last for a single fish if the pressure will be down at the split ring?

      @CA-sl2xw 3 года назад +1

      @@chado9166 yep…. It gets bites, but the hook up ratio is sketchy. I’ve fished it a couple times in the past two weeks. Pre-rigging a bag will save some time.
