Love the Astra 4S too. My 156bhp 2.0 16v Astra GTE was scary going flat out (130+mph) in a very lightweight and far from strong car. I can't even imagine what it would have been like with more than 4 times the power!
I was in the stand at the bottom of Tumbledown, where it rejoins the track. The sound of these cars trying to get the power down, revving the nuts out of the engines was something else. The Chevy Monza of Rosnes sounded so different, but went like a rocket. Peter Harrolds Beetle was fast, too. Broke it, unfortunately. 🤷🏻♂️
Did you know Martin Schancke even had a political career in Norway 20yrs ago? It ended really quick when he punched a disagreeable teenager in the face
Gotta Love Murray Walker.. The Most Iconic Race Commentator Of All Time(IMO) R.I.P.
Loved how this made the group b cars had a second chance!
This is incredible, i always wanted to see these Rallycross races using all the banned Group B racers. Will Gallop and his Biturbo'd 6R4 is legendary.
Great video, these were amazing days for rally cross

1991 was a good year. That Escort getting 3rd was the highlight of this race.
Stupid questions to the winner.
