There is NOTHING like a good soulfull slow blues when it is being sung and played by somebody who is taking their time and digging deep into it, teasing out that indescribable thing that makes us human....
All I can say is.. WOW!!! The soul in his voice, him shredding beautifully on the guitar. That harmonica. The whole band! I would love to see these guys live
I knew of Otis' version but have never heard Tab's version until the other night. I was lying on the beach, staring at the stars with my lady and this came on the Otis Pandora station...left this world for awhile that night.
I love It when I'm looking for a song I wanna hear and just randomly click on a "cover version" of it....and love it...and know that there are musicians out there who bring the same passion/soul/heartbreak to the song that made it such a classic in the first place...
I absolutely love this man's voice, his style of playing and his personality. I hope to be able to see you play live some day. Your really killing it on these beautiful blues song's and they are all my favorites. I love you Tab.
Having seen Tab with this song on RUclips, and having a high-school son massively into jazz and blues guitar, I messaged Tab's website when I heard he was coming to us in South Bend, Indiana, a few years ago. Asked him through the website to play this song when he came to South Bend. He and the band did so. He's an awesome musician.
This is my favorite that he does, too. As far as I'm concerned, he should be the only person now living to ever sing an Otis Redding song. Whenever I hear Tab sing this song I think "This is worth the price of admission"
i just got home from a tap dancing job as a barber. It is so hard to smile and keep up appearances for the public. Tab's music speeks of the emotions I hide until I get home, take a bath, and unwind. Thanks you for helping me to touch base with my feelings.
Tab just picks my soul up and carries it to Heaven. I would truly love to meet this man, And his gorgeous Wifey, in my near future. My soul is smiling bright when I'm listening to this man's voice. Especially this song. Being single is hard as hell after all these years, but, Tab, just know that you're teaching me. I'm grateful for your voice.
Holy crap...this guy is fabulous! Why the hell haven't I heard of him until now? Thank you Linda Joyce. Excellent rendition of the old Otis Redding favorite.
Oh, Barb! I'm so glad I ran across these clips from Tab on the Cruise! I was there in the audience, as well, and had really liked Tab just from listening to him on radio and cd's, but I totally fell in love on that cruise!! Honey, I'd have his baby...LMAO! (Well, I would have....back when I could still do that sort of thing.) And him doing the Big O is a double dip of pleasure, especially since he does him so well. I grieved for weeks, maybe months, when Otis Redding died.
Tab probbly have talint but when he make singing, his in too much pain. I see in him face that making the singing hurt him. He make too much face like, 'och' and 'ooooowwwww!'

Thanks to the Otis Pandora Radio, my young soul would have not heard of Tab's Version!! I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!
Great selection (one of my favorite) and execution! Thanks bro!
Wow! Tab is great. How awesome would it be to see Tab and SRV trading licks and verses on this song!
Real music, real musicians. Too bad radio will never give Tab his due!
Tab don’t need no stinking radio !
Tab speaks of my soul, and I feel blessed to be alive and hanging in there.
Such a gorgeous guitar sound. He is great.
Holy shit! Awesome! This guy just kicked the shit out of this song! Mr. Redding would be proud!

Great song,great cover
That's Jumpin' Johnny Sansone on harp
AWESOME
beautiful, man.
I agree, both Tab and Michael Grimm know how to channel their inner Otis Redding. Proud to be a Louisiana boy
splendid harmonica
❤❤❤
Great stuff
u are the man
Excellent stuff, like the old guitar.
now thats beautiful tone
The sound is almost "haunting." Can feel the pain of missing someone.
ya know you have to be from Louisiana and grew up listening to this to really hear tab playing
I don't think state lines determine listening.
this guys wicked
Great job singing. Addition of harp fills in nicely for horn section. When Tab solos, it can get thin.
YOU CAN FEEL THIS IS FROM HIS HEART AND SOUL!!! SIMPLY AWESOME.....TY TAB BENOIT!!! YOU'RE THE CAT'S MEOW!!!
He just flat out sings this song!
I Love that Walnut Stain on the Drums! Who makes those..? They look like my custom Mapleworks kit
How many more years am I supposed to play my guitar to look like this?
these arms of mine...wanna play guitar like Tab
PS. I do like the way Michael Grimm channels Otis Redding, as well.,
CUORE
Johnny Sansone is on harmonica
It's called soul.
ain't no pressure here.
That Tele!!!
That's very damn good and just almost as good as the man's (Otis Redding).
mmmm mmmm mmm ! in love ♡
Norton Buffalo, knew him well.
Paul Rodgers from bad company does a good cover to
hahahahaha, that harp is smashed!
may be you're too far above all of us...you cant play can you?...take it up and come on back!... but only if you want to...
I hear Percy Sledge in there. Lol

Great voice but too slow.
To slow are you talking about yourself, what do you think blues are acid rock? Duh
This is incredible. I no longer listen to Otis Redding.
Great pick hiding is the least of the talents on display here
Less SRV, more Steve Cropper.
