If you listen close enough, lots of old school house music used this beat! Im a DJ and almost got this 100% after watching it first and then i said to myself, I've heard this beat before!
This s a common rhythm found all over the world although it my have different names. Malfuf is Arabic for "wrapped" meaning the rhythm wraps around in 2/4 time signature. It is found in Egyptian and Arabic music
Great lesson. Transposition to drums can be done as well and sounds great (snare and kick) ! Back in the early 80ies, Stew Copeland took from reggae and from Egyptian traditional music to spice up rock !
Omg i thought i was starting my trip on acid when your camera first shook like dead ass for 2 complete seconds i thought it was about to hit me hard out of nowhere
