as much as AEW sucks it really must be the dream company to work for: you don't have to sell tickets, you don't have to draw TV ratings, you don't have to sell merch, you don't have to work house shows yet you can still make millions for very little work.

4 years ago Tony says he’ll never stop a wrestler that asks for a release as he doesn’t agree with keeping someone that doesn’t want to be there. Now he’s desperate to keep everyone from going to wwe. Tony probably didn’t think guys would actually want to leave aew for wwe.

As a pure worker, Buddy's one of the best in the business. He's saddled as the job guy in a mid faction and that's the only thing really holding him back. I don't know if it was possible, but keeping Buddy and letting Malaki leave would have made more sense to me. But they are best friends and bot their wives work in WWE, so I understand them wanting to work together. Really surprised they are staying to be honest. They seem to have hit their ceiling a while ago. Guess Tony just made them an offer they couldn't refuse, just weird to keep guys who clearly don't want to be there.

Great Buddy is making $ but good God. He’s got this gimmick but it doesn’t match his name. It may work for Michael Myers but Buddy Mathews? I’m sure he can come up with a better in ring name to match the character.
