If I could only own one bike, this is it. I have a WR250 and it’s just underpowered and a bit sluggish. I have an FZ-07 and the power is spot on and useable. But the FZ is just kinda heavy and not as hooliganesque as a supermoto. This bike is nearly perfect! I just wish I could get a WR with an FZ engine.
After watching this I’m questioning if I beat the ever loving piss out of my 701 because it seems like a break in video, is this how your supposed to ride it?
do you have a problem with your cell phone camera due to the vibrations from the bike? I have the same bracket and vibration protection, but I've heard that the camera can still break.
I don't know if you will read these lines, but I try anyway. Don't be offended if I tell you that you give gas like my grandmother... But goodness, the throttle grip you want to turn or not. He takes that finger off the front brake and starts giving the gas with both hands. He starts revving above 8,000 rpm and makes this 700 cc single cylinder sing. When I was riding motocross, I twisted the throttle until the throttle cable broke. Now I seem to see these "supermoto..." driven more and more by marmots. I'm not mad at you, but not hearing the rev limiter kick in, it's really pissing me off.
My boy, unfortunately I am well past my fifties and unfortunately my health is no longer what it was when I was young. If I could go back in time, I would gladly accept your invitation, especially on a nice dirt road. I competed and the challenges from the starting gate were my daily bread...
@@DannyWarrings If you do a few kilometers a year, you could modify (prepare) the engine. Just change the engine oil and oil filter a little more often. For starters you could opt for a high compression piston, a new connecting rod and a dedicated camshaft (with a higher lift) for higher rpm. Work the cylinder head by widening the intake and exhaust valve seats. Fits larger intake and exhaust valves. Polishes the ducts to a shine, fluid dynamics has its importance. Modify the crankshaft (crankshaft) and make the flywheel as light as possible. The less flywheel effect, the less inertial effect the engine has. Result, the engine revs at the speed of light and when you close the throttle, it's pure magic. Seeing is believing. You can't imagine that you detach... An injection group (new idle and maximum jets for the new carburation) and new dedicated mapping for the control unit. Filter box (sponge filter) increased air with dedicated air box. Exhaust manifolds with increased diameter and Arrow or Akrapovic exhaust muffler without db killer to conclude. A nice 14 tooth sprocket and a 48/49 tooth crown wouldn't be bad. Finished price 4000/4500 euros.
thats the dream bike right there
Nice autum, good views ! Regards from Poland:-)
good video with some good sound!

Great video
Really enjoyed watching that! Recently picked up a new Tenere 700 after a DRZ but thinking of going back to SUMO very soon
feels like a movie😳
good stuff
Dig it! Consider my coffee cup holder upgrade tho. It’s nice to sip when you have to stop.
Great video mate!! 🏍️🏍️🏍️

love it! waiting on a 2022 come late spring. info on the mirror setup?
That’s a double take trail mirror, I have the same mirrors on my ‘21 SMC R

My phone camera broke before I got the mount, but I haven’t had any issues since. There’s definitely a good chance of it breaking again
Decibel killer in or out in this video?
Your speed .., is in km/h or mph ?
MPH
Your thoughts on the comfortability of the bike in terms of the ergonomics? Can the nuts handle a long hours drive on that?
Its not a touring bike but 200-300km without pain is possible (have the 21 model too)
@@fabsegnz9171 facts i have the 2018. only thing id say is highway riding is pretty boring lol but fast twisties no problem
old comment but yes, i did a 6000km trip around europe with it and it was fine
Nice!
Would this make a great commuter and some weekend highway miles?
I commute on a WR250R every day. The 701 should be good. Just look at the maintenance intervals and stick to it.
Is that the stock exhaust?
Wings Exhaust with db killer removed
What exhaust do you have on your 701?
Wings
@@DannyWarringsit sounds so goood

I’m sure they make a pill for that, old man
